We got our wonderful terrier, Sidney, from a Benld adoption event at Petco in Springfield in 2000. She lived to be almost 17 years old. A few months after Sid passed away, we found our new friend, Winston, on their website. These folks are just the best, sweetest dog-lovers on earth!

Me and my mom just adopted Bubs, he is such a love bug!❤ They are very careful about who they adopt to. would like to thank them for taking the time to get to know us, would definitely recommend! 😍😍Edit: they neglected to tell me he pulls which can be worked on! He also barks at cars!

We were able to go in & see all of the dogs that they had up for adoption. We found the one that fit our needs. His name is Bo n we couldn't be happier. God truly blessed us with a great addition to our family. Thank you All for the help us finding what we were looking go.

Not a good place. very unfriendly Lady (?) would not let us adopt a Pitty because, according to her, Pitts are NOT an outside dog. Feel sorry for the animals that miss a good home just because this ‘B’ thinks she knows everything.

We went and met Tony today. We really enjoyed our experience there and enjoyed meeting Tony. Staff was very friendly and accommodated Us by taking Tony for a walk with our dog to see how they got along and went in the fence to see how they did everything went very well.

We got a dog from them last year, they failed to mention the dog digs, barks at everything and pulls and climbs!!! (But we love him) he knows a few commands but does them only when we wants😅We sent them pictures and a few emails got no response, it is like they could care less🙄 you'd think they'd be happy for the dog. They are somewhat friendly.We tried to call them and ask a few question's but got what sounded like a fax machine, If you want to adopt a pet go somewhere else!

They are the worse shelter ever, I found a female calico in my backyard, she helped me get better, I haven't smiled since my dad died, I wanted to keep her, but I thought maybe the owner would come in and claim her, but they didn't and now #benldadoptapet won't give her back, I can't live knowing I can't have her back, please help me, I haven't really had a good life, when I was 8 years old, my brother did something to me, when I was 11, I got a dog bite, around the same time I almost climbed on the roof sleep walking, ladder fell on me by accident when I was 5, I don't have any friends, I found this cat I outside and fed her and gave her shelter, I didn't want to give her up, I wanted to keep her, I'm getting more depressed by the second, she made me happy, I don't think being good is worth it anymore if it made me lose her

The good folks at Benld Adopt a Pet are top notch! They make sure their animals are going to good, responsible and loving homes. The care the animals receive while there is very good. After adopting our dog, my veterinarian noted upon reviewing her records the excellent care that she had received while at Benld Adopt a Pet. Our new friend is a wonderful addition to our family. Very nice clean pet adoption center. Everyone was really nice and helpful. Website always kept up to date. Only negative was having to make appointment during very short hours (1-4) .

Amazing people! Helped me pick out and adopt my new puppy, Toby! The ladies that work there answered all of my questions and explained everything I needed to know before I took him home! Definitely recommend if your looking to adopt.

I instantly fell in love with a Shih Tzu that was up for adoption. I applied for her with the understanding I was the only one who had applied for her and got a call later that they already had someone in mind for her. Then was told I really need to get my Doberman neutered if I want to adopt. I’m pretty sure all animals up for adoption are already fixed. So the excuse was very far fetched. All these dogs with no homes and now I know why. Good luck to the animals that they can find forever homes in a business ran like that. I’ll go to a breeder.

No-kill shelter. Every animal we looked at seemed well-cared for and was very friendly. The dog we brought home had obviously had some training while there, and is basically house and crate-trained already. They're very careful about who they send animals home with, and are dedicated to finding forever homes for their animals rather than simply getting them out as fast as possible.

Will never be back all they did was come up with excuses to not adopt me a animal. Had a stack of vet visits that showed I took care of my dog and 2 cats. They denied me because one of my female cats wasn't fixed and she never goes outside!

Animals are great! Just wish the women named renae that works there wasn't so rude and hateful. I loved my job there till I had to quit because she is so rude I was going to put my hands on her! So instead I quit! If she leaves I would be able to go back and help my dog and cat friends . she is only there to be mean to people who work there. I want was there to help not make drama! RENAE if you grow up you might have friends! Just saying! You'd have better stuff to do beside start drama!

I would give it lower if I could. I tried to adopt a dog and they didn't want to give it to me. Apparently I don't know what dog I want and they know best. Then my application was never processed to my knowledge. Just yesterday I attempted to adopt cat and was told by a worker that I would likely get it only to get a call this morning that they wouldn't let me have it and said they didn't have a cat that would fit my home. They can't complain about lack of adoptions if they don't let people adopt. If you plan to go here don't bank on getting what you hope to get.

I loved this place. Adopted more than one from here. Lost my 19 year old cat just a couple weeks ago. So heartbroken. Staff here does great work to provide homes for those who don’t have one. Thank you for my last 19 years of purrfect, unconditional love.
