This was my first time at the store as I am new to the area. They announced that they were closing. I rushed to finish my shopping. At 11 pm they announced that the store was now closed. I rushed up to the registers and a woman employee ( Unfortunately, I could not see her name anywhere. I'm assuming she was a manager) told me that they weren't going to ring me up. I had a cart that was literally overflowing with household products and food. Easily over $350. Despite her rude tone, I thought she was joking, but she was not! I looked at the time and it was 11:06. I said are you seriously going to lose an over $350 sale, because I'm 6 minutes past close. She kept talking over me and in a rude tone, repeated over and over, Ma'am, we're closed.You can come back for your cart tomorrow. Well, I can assure you, that I won't be coming back to that store, EVER. I don't shop in stores where employees are rude to the customers and more concerned about getting out and off work, than they are about customer satisfaction.

This location is ok compared to others. Staff is monotone very few friendly and smiling faces. Lots of staff just standing around and talking instead of helping by being the cashiers they should be. Never fo after 9pm unless your ok working for free to get what you purchase checking out and just being watched by chatters. Truly frustrating. Never seen a company have so much staff just standing around doing nothing.ales no sense. Crazy!!

Belvidere Walmart is always filthy. The bathrooms are disgusting. Getting help is almost impossible and the staff is unfriendly. On my last visit I needed help with self checkout and three staff members were standing there talking with their phones out. After several minutes of calling to them for help, my husband approached them and one lady came to help, but she was rude and seemed upset that she was bothered. Unacceptable. I only go to this store because I have no choice.

I went into the store and one employee asked another to please go to the service desk and help customers and I was Greeted very unprofessional.Employee was walking up to the service desk and asked"whats up?"Very unprofessional and he seemed as if he didn't want to even be there.Nonetheless the other 5 employees standing near the service desk which were just to busy standing around and laughing

Went to purchase some extra sheets that were on clearance for $19.00. Got to the register and they rang up for $50 something. We questioned it and even took a photo of the entire display stating $19.00. Manager shrugged her shoulders and went back to chatting with her friend. Professional ugh

I had a terrible experience with one of the staff members. She was rude and unfriendly when I asked her a simple question, and then she started following me in the shop and just stood staring at me while I paid and gave me a disgusting look when I left. I will definitely NOT return! Unacceptable service!

The worst walmart ive ever been to! Rude employees, under stocked shelves , to the nasty dirty floors and bathrooms! i wouldnt recommend spending any time or money here! This store needs help bad! I hope walmarts restructure for 2024 includes a restructure of employees at this location!

I constantly feel like I’m being judged. The deli was terrible. There was a BUG in my popcorn chicken. Avoid the deli in Belvidere, Illinois at all costs.

walmart employees really be pushing online orders to the end of the night and making them late late if you not tipping them oh no tip? sorry the order you placed for 8am yesterday night wont arrive until 9pm sorry we dont want to do our jobs

I had the worst experience at this Walmart in customer service of allPlaces . The guy Adriel was HORRIBLE! I was returning a 8oz French press .I did not have my box and he was like “ I need this in a box you don’t have it” I’m like well no I usually don’t get boxes of things I buy I don’t really have room for all that. He said “well I can’t return it without a bar code”. I was like “from my understanding Walmart can track your items you purchase from 90 days”. He continued to say “he needed a barcode”. So I took it upon myself to go find the product in the store which to my understanding is his job but I’ll let that go and searched for it .After coming back he said you want store credit or on the card I was like “ummmm … store “..he immediately cut me off and said oh I put it on your card 5-7 days you will have your refund. I’m like I didn’t even get a chance to say what I wanted and he rolled his eyes and that when I ask his name since he had his tag turning with his name probably because he is rude a lot. I can not stress enough how unprofessional he was. I mean really I have had great experience from all places in this little town of Belvidere so this was shocking to me he was just so rude from the start and he needs to be spoken to. He needs to have some customer service skills since he is working with the public. I won’t say what I really would like to say to say about this Adriel however Walmart hope you employee better people. I know it’s difficult these days however don’t just reach for anything they make the store look bad.

This isn’t meant toward the Belvidere, Illinois store. My complaint is against the online store. I purchased a Black Friday special, Apple air pods gen 2 for a great price. Problem is that they didn’t deliver them. I did receive PART of the order but when I called customer service, the representative hung up on me. Don’t use Walmart online… or at your own risk. ⚠️

Update:I have returned to this location a handful of times hoping that my initial judgment was wrong and haven't had any issues so I am assuming it's safe to say This was a one-off incident.Although I am not fond of the way management handled the original incident, I figured I would update anyone that sees this, the below review is not a typical encounter at the belvedere Walmart (according to my recent experiences)Original content:(⭐X X X X )Good prices and clean store but poses safety riskThey have a wide selection of goods and the prices are pretty low but lots of shady characters walking around both inside and out. When I got to my car after shopping there was someone stalking my car and trying the handles, presumably attempting to get inside for whatever reason. I tried contacting the store to ask if they could either release the camera footage to me or the local PD and the representative refused saying "we don't have access to those".. I'm sure loss prevention actively works there, how do you not have access to the cameras, and if you truly cannot access them then what's the point of having every inch of the building and lot surveilled?Utter shame, I like Walmart but I refuse to jeopardize my safety to save a few bucks. Will be going to Meijer or another location from now on.

This is still a Walmart, but compared to the Rockford Walmart, it is a pleasant improvement. The shelves don't look totally ransacked and the stock is there. Most employees looked relatively happy and a few with smiles. It is worth the extra 5 minutes drive for me.

I would avoid the Belvidere IL pharmacy. Went for flu shot. Was rudely instructed to, "get in line". Then all pharmacy personnel totally ignored us. After watching other customers being assisted, we gave up. Went to Walgreens where we were treated courteously and quickly.

Surprised me that everything I normally get or at least try to they had stocked. Their employees are all smiling and super friendly. The store is clean too. The only down fall it the amount of trash in the parking lot, they made up the start I would of deducted with everything else

STAY AWAY!!!!! One star is overly generous. Management and security is a joke and is greatly lacking. Products on shelf are a mess and many things are in the wrong spot and incorrectly priced.

My friend and I were waiting over 20 minutes to get help in paint we spoke to 3 different employees to page someone when the guy finally came up without even checking the machine said 'oh its down' my friend asks 'well why is there no sign saying it's down instead of having customers wait for nothing?' The employee said 'well I just got up here.' This is not the first time in this department honestly why have it if you people don't want to do it? Worst experience ever and I strongly urge people to just to to a store that specializes in paint

My family and I stop in at least once a week and my experiences anytime I’ve had to deal with an employee are either really good or really bad. Take yesterday for example. We went in to purchase an outdoor rocking chair that we saw on our last trip and were helped by two gentlemen in lawn and garden who were friendly, knowledgeable and super helpful. Brought the chair home and said you know what’s better than 1 rocking chair…2 rocking chairs so we went back to get another. After opening the box we discovered that there we no screws or instructions in it so we went figured it would be no big deal to go back to make an exchange. Boy was I wrong; walked up to customer service and was berated by the female (Ms Eye Roll) there who stated basically that it’s my fault they I purchased an item with a yellow tag because that means it’s defective. I can understand a scratch or dent, but how am I supposed to put together a rocking chair without any hardware and how am I to know what a yellow ticket means without any signage other than the fact it’s on sale? When I brought up the replacement chair to customer service the box was scuffed and only remnants of another yellow tag were in place and she stated that I couldn’t get the discounted price because it appears she thinks the tag was taken off because she believes it was was marked down in error even though the box itself was damaged. I will go onto say that common sense prevailed when not one, but two managers arrived at customer service at my request. The manager who was not named Tim (eff Tim) was very helpful; while Tim was very condescending and began talking to the female at customer service about us on his walkie talkie as soon as he walked away because I think he thought she had her earpiece in (which she didn’t) so my family and I got to hear first hand what Tim thought of us (hence the eff Tim). I would have loved to hear what else he had to say, but she quickly plugged the earpiece in. Thanks to the manager not named Tim for being a true customer servant who should be emulated by Tim and Ms Eye Roll.

Horrible. Just horrible. There was blood and maggots everywhere, the store smelled disgusting too, even though the food there was fresh. Saw a banshee flying over aisles, no employees spoke of it. Had to wait three hours for an employee to notice the banshee issue

Always find the coolest unexpected items here.. price matches are always guaranteed, and their savings catcher on the walmart app is amazing. It has decently helped save a lot of money for me and is super easy as you only have to scan your recipt.

I am loosing interest shopping at Walmart. Prices are getting very costly. Never saw sale, bakery was good , not anymore. Crowded.
