This is my second time coming here on the last year. The first time my perch was fried too hard. This time it was was and crispy but mushy on the inside. Sorry I won't be back. Save the fake replies and my concern is similar to others reviews here. This is disgusting and if I get sick. I'll definitely call the department of public health. This is just gross. These people must not eat the food the cook clearly. Never returning to this location.

Was looking for a late night (10:30pm) meal 🤫 after leaving the comedy show at Credit Union 1 arena aka UIC arena. Almost gave up as most restaurants on the way home were closed. Drove down Mannheim to see if this location was open. Well looky looky...Open! Went in the place was clean, greeted promptly, service was good, food cooked fresh/hot. Ordered the 6 wing dinner and large catfish steak dinner. Definitely enough for two people to get a tasty fill. The wings were small which was aesthetically disappointing BUT which I appreciated because I don't like those oversize steroid wings. The fish was on point. Overall...satisfied.

There food is pretty good. The J&J in Maywood off of Roosevelt is better. Biggest issue with this place is they are always out of stuff. How are you going to have specials posted and almost never have them actually available to buy. Also if you like catfish forget about going to this location. They will almost always be out of catfish tails and catfish steaks...

I like this j&js because they have combo meals for under $10. I had catfish nuggets and chicken wings and fries $9.99. Would have given them 5 stars but they put too much mild sauce on my food

If I could give them zero stars, I would! I ordered 10 wings one evening last week. They were so fresh and delicious, I decided to order 20 wings the next day. I ordered ahead of time because I had to go to work and wanted to feed the kids before I leave. I come to pick up the food, and the cashier was outside taking care of a couch order outside. Yes, I said couch. I told him I was here to pick up my 20 wings and had to go to work and didn’t have a lot of time. He said one moment. I’m still standing there almost 20 minutes later. Now I don’t have time to eat. When I told him that I just want my food so I can go to work. He said: “If I can’t wait I can just go ahead and leave!” I left empty handed with no food for me and my kids. It’s such a shame because their food is good but their customer service is horrible! I will never go there again and tell everyone else not to go there either. They lost a lifetime customer! 😡

I'm giving them only three stars because the food was actually really good but don't even try to phone in the order because no one ever answers and even though the website says they're open till 12am you may go up there at 10:30 pm and they'll be closed. It's happened to me twice.

They used to be really good years ago. Last night was kind of bad. My chicken was good but I asked for lemon pepper on it and it think they forgot. The catfish tasted fake and dried out. They must not serve fresh fish anymore. I was really looking forward to my fish too. I will not be back to this location again.

Phone support.... Their clearly was a man who wasn't happy to take my call. I asked " is this the same owners as the owner on Mannheim in Melrose park? He said ,"first tell me what you want.. " I said I want to order,but only from that franchise owner. Is this the same own......(interrupted) mam , again. Just tell me what you want and than we go from there. " That's ok I'm not ordering because you aren't kind Sir. ( I am sorry 😐 I found a menu later and learned that it is the same owner. I was in shock!!!!! ) So I leave you with this .. the food is amazing. The customer to staff relationship needs a lil work ,but I'm also thinking maybe my timing just wasn't good. Maybe he had just had a larger order and was so busy.

I stopped in to Cricket wireless to get my 4 lines for $100 a month and while she was working on my phones I came next-door to get some lunch and I was amazed! He deserves 5 stars! The food is so good! I can’t get enough of the chicken strips with lemon pepper and mild sauce! The best JJ Fish around!!! So now I’m happy with my brand new phones and my delicious food! Customer service right here is awesome the entire strip mall! Great products great food and family friendly people!

Ordered all steak cat fish. Fish was hard, bread dry and greasy. French fries taste like they were fried in old cooking oil. Normally this location of J & J Fish is great but I will not be back.

I went to the J&J Fish on Mannheim, big mistake the fish tasted old, the grease tasted old. Also, they gave me the end pieces of bread and they were old and stale. The only thing that was good was the employee that took my order. I will not solicit their buisness again.
