Amazing food and ice cream! You won't go wrong with anything on the menu. Burgers are handmade, pork fritter sandwich is great, fries are always fresh, all the Appetizers are good! The ice cream menu is extensive and you have the option of soft serve or their homemade options! Don't skip their freezer section to take some treats home as well! A must visit place. Indoor and outdoor seating!

White Cottage is a Belleville favorite, the perfect place to eat some tasty ice cream. I've been visiting White Cottage since I played little league baseball just a few blocks from the restaurant. It's the perfect place to go after any event for a cheap treat and/or meal.In the summer, the staff often set out a water bowl for patrons' dogs. There's ample outdoor seating as they just enlarged the patio (and the parking lot). I love the unique ice cream flavors offered like cotton candy, cinnamon, and banana. I also appreciate the vintage vibe inside with the 1950s American diner-feel, though that could be enhanced. Also, quarts of various ice cream flavors are available for purchase to take home.On my most recent visit, we came for dinner on a Friday during Lent and enjoyed their fried cod. It was tasty, though I would have enjoyed it more with lemon wedges. They very well may have had lemons, but I didn't ask. :/ 🐟🍋My only complaint is that they don't have a pinball machine inside anymore. I'd spend a lot more time and money at White Cottage if that was still there.

The funnel cake is fried too hard! It should be crispy but still have a somewhat soft texture to it throughout in my opinion. I love the fried pork tenderloin sandwich. My only complaint is with the condiments added the bottom bun/bread becomes soaking wet, unfortunately. The last time I went I received lettuce that had started to turn brown which was not okay to me. More attention to quality control.

There are so many things that are good about White Cottage but also bad things. I am not trying to be rude here but the prices are higher and the ice cream is not the best. But on the other hand the food is delicious and everyone is so nice and caring to all the customers. If I were to go somewhere to eat this is definitely one of my choices. The ice cream is good just not one of the best but again that is my opinion. A lot of people might disagree but I think for the amount of food we get it could be cheaper but I love supporting a small business so I love going here for food and sometimes ice cream. But I hope this helps all the people out there.

This was my first visit to White Cottage. I ordered the Patty Melt which was supposed to be hamburg served on rye bread with fried onions and swiss cheese. First of all, it was not rye bread. (very disappointing) Secondly, there were maybe a tablespoon of fried onions on the sandwich. (very disappointing) On the plus side, the sandwich was served with the meat hot and the cheese melted. Would I go again? Maybe, I would try the ice cream but the sandwiches are not an option.

Been here before for ice cream and treats. But today I decided to try the Cottage burger and it was fantastic. Very thick good quality burgers tasty and juicy and not over cooked. Also got a side of fries and cheese sauce, Which I wasn't the biggest fan of the cheese sauce was a little basic but not the worse I've had for sure. They have great food and great treats alike so it is a great choice no matter what ur after!!!!!!

I've been going here a lot of years, but all the changes they made and didn't make in the last few years has really made this place even better. Tonight I got my favorite ice cream, a really rare flavor and treat: Spumoni. It was perfect. So good, I even bought a pint to bring home!

Great, friendly service, and very popular with locals. Interesting flavors of ice cream like cantaloupe, Ski sorbet, lemon custard, black walnut, etc.. My tip would be to take home a quart of ice cream for the freezer which costs around $7-$8 as opposed to individual cups around $5. We also ordered food which was just okay in my opinion... the fried mushrooms I would not buy again as the breading was completely bland and just tasted like oily mushrooms. We will definitely come back for ice cream!

My burgers have been great and the fries were crispy. The ice cream is delicious. And, they serve Excel soda products on tap. I'm a bit picky when it comes to having Ski on tap, and the Ski here is delicious.Also, the staff is helpful, friendly, and patient.

Ice cream is okay, nothing special. the price is reasonable I suggest the small unless you want to share, then a medium the serving size on a large im pretty sure was a pint.

I was extremely disappointed with White Cottage. I ordered a small Fresh Blackberry Ice Cream in a sugar cone. The price was outrageous at $4.37 with tax. There was about 3/4 of a cup serving size which equates to $34.96 for a half gallon of ice cream or $69.92 for a gallon. The price did not at all reflect the quality or taste. The blackberry flavor was very dull and there was a strange overpowering after taste that was similar to some kind of generic sugar substitute sweetener. When the employee gave me the total, I almost canceled my order because of the insane price. However, I am a firm believer of "you get what you pay for," so I was hopeful that this ice cream was going to be "to die for" and worth the money. I should have went with my gut instinct. The terrible aftertaste deterred me from finishing my cone and into the trash it went. Even if it was delicious, the price is still highway robbery and they have the audacity to ask for a tip on top of that. I will not be back and I will be sharing my experience so that nobody else wastes their money. I would have rather spent my cash on a gallon of gas or a gallon of Schnucks brand Vanilla.

One of Belleville's best seasonal ice cream shops. Ice cream is ALWAYS good here, and they load on plenty of toppings for concretes. The line can be long outside, so I recommend ordering online in advance, and prepare to spend a few minutes picking up your order. The food is good, too, but it's basic diner food, and not much variety. Definitely go for the ice cream.

I have been taking my family to White Cottage for years but have never taken time to write a review! My daughter does work here, and has for the past three summers, but my review spans ten plus years of enjoying this establishment. Yesterday we had a group for lunch and everyone enjoyed their meals and shakes. The food was served in a timely manner, but we did get there right at 11 when they opened. My favorite meal is the grilled cheese and friend mushrooms, but the tator tots and fries are quite yummy as well. For dessert I literally smile while eating the birthday cake cottage drummy! Lol!

White Cottage had been around a long time!!! And for good reason!!! They make their own ice cream, they also have soft serve, and a ton of other county-famous- favorites. But they're not just famous for ice cream! They've got a great food menu and it's unique. Fried mushrooms are 🏼 deliciouso!!!

A perfect old-school neighborhood ice cream and lunch stop. Depending on your timing, the wait can be trying, but chill, it's part of the vibe if you choose to come on a summer night like hundreds of other locals. I love the cheeseburger and fries. The home made drumsticks are special, but I love a good ol' turtle sundae made with butter pecan ice cream.

Belleville classic ice cream shop. Plentiful flavors with unending combinations. Food options include basic diner food like burgers, onion rings, fried pickles, etc...I won't lie and say it's a gift from heaven, but we do take the kids there every other week.
