All the workers I’ve run into here are super nice and helpful. But this has happened several times where I’ve purchased something brand new that says it’s supposed to last the next few weeks, get it home and it was already moldy. I thought it seemed odd they had it labeled to be good through the end of next month for this type of product. Someone needs to double check their labels. It happens a lot with this same product it’s like they just choose a random date.Update: See picture of bacon. I just bought his in January if 2024. I’m getting so tired of this places negligence. Management needs to do better.

The store was clean and not busy. But employees stocking in almost every aisle with pallets of product to negotiate around was a bit of a challenge. Nevertheless, this is a good store with nice employees. 👍

So sick of prices going up every week. My afrin used to be 6.49 and now it's 10.99. Such a rip off.

There was an employee retrieving carts (male, young, with glasses) and he came running with carts towards the exit door. I stepped back to let him in and he yelled "Go!!!" Totally unacceptable behavior among anyone, much less a customer. My husband and I were stunned. I'm glad to see another grocery store being built around the corner so I can shop there instead.

Employees are OK but there’s one that I have an issue with and I will never be going back to Kroger I recommend going to Schnucks for your every day needs because that’s where I work one employee took almost $300 worth of my paycheck in coins did not tell me what she was going to do with them and basically robbed me so I will not be returning to Kroger anytime soon I recommend everybody go to Schnucks they are so much nicer and we help you find your needs and every day goods.

Kevin is a long time employee and is the absolute worst thing to happen to this Kroger location. According to Kevin, he is the spokesperson for Kroger. He claims to know all policies and procedures and finds joy in inconveniencing paying customers while the store is robbed blind of merchandise. I will no longer be a patron of this store or company because of Kevin and his uncouth and unprofessional attitude and demeanor toward customers. He is a total creep and lacks in customer service, empathy, professionalism, and knowing policy. Definitely take your money elsewhere and avoid this Kroger and Kevin.

Great helpful staff! They were very kind to me and my mother in law! They were not pushy and helped my disabled mother in law with our groceries to my trunk. Awesome, awesome, awesome! Staff hear very little of how great they do, and need to hear encouragement more often everywhere!

Always out of stock, one lane is always only open, I don’t mind using self check out but have more then one lane open when there is 16 people in line, to small of parking lot, and I wait 22min to pay my power bill before I found someone to call the person who supposedly working the Front counter and then she had a attitude like I was doing something wrong I’ll happily drive to east Peoria next time

Horrible parking, always crowded, always low stocked and out of things. The pharmacy is the WORST pharmacy I've ever experienced. The young people working there are very nice and capable, and Jeff in particular is so friendly and knowledgeable and patient--whatever they're paying him, he should make way more. The blonde lady pharmacist is very nice and knowledgeable as well. But the old man working there, Tom, is completely incompetent, rude, discriminatory, and doesn't even seem to know his job. They are always backed up if Tom is working, and the younger staff have to explain to him how to do his job. Every single time I have to pick up a prescription while he's there, there are multiple errors, mistakes, and extra wait time to ready something that was promised days before. He has misread multiple prescriptions and missed things. He is rude, always angry and impatient at you when he/his staff have made an error. He's shouted loudly before in frustration of having to figure out how to fill things, and always has a TERRIBLE attitude toward staff and customers alike. He seems to have a very hard time understanding basic questions about meds and never answers what you actually ask. He talks past you, repeating basic and unnecessary information. He has no compassion, or sense of respect. He SHOUTED to my partner that his anti-FUNGAL cream was ready for pickup. Perhaps he's not like this to men? Maybe it's sexism? Maybe it's homophobia or transphobia because I'm queer and my partner is trans and we often come in together? His attitude did seem to worsen once my partner started hormones. This man is beyond rude, horrible to deal with, and completely incompetent at his job.

Me and my husband went to a u-scanner this morning. Lines were all full everywhere. I kid u not. The cashier in the u-scanner area. Stood directly over us. She could’ve assisted us if we needed help. But we didn’t need any help. Very disappointed Kroger all black people don’t steal. And I don’t steal. I’m a paying customer and received horrible service.

I have been going to the Bartonville Krogers for over 23 years, but after last night I will say I'm NEVER shopping there again. They have changed the store around so you can't find what you are looking for, if you are lucky enough to even find it in stock. If you ask for help you get attitude from the staff, and then on top of it, when you leave you get confronted and threatened by people who have no business even going to this store. My business is going elsewhere, where shelves are stocked, staff is helpful, and I don't have to fear a fight when I leave

Was in last night. I live 3 minutes away so we visit often. After a very friendly deli associate helped me find the cheese I was seeking, I was undecided if I wanted to spend $12 on it, having never tried it before. She offered it to me for free, to try, and if I liked it I would know for next time.I didn't even know they did this! She put a sticker on it with her initials and they never scanned it at the register.Made my night. If I could suggest something, you need more of the little carts.

I have lived in Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina and Virginia. In my 83 years l have never encountered more disenteresed or ruder employes than I have seen in the Bartonville Kroger store. The employees argue with each other in front of the customers. The only way to rectify this situation is to take a good hard look at the stores management mmanagement. M istteam. team.

It might be smaller store but has the best service! Deli excellent choices, meat department you can special order how you want meat cut,Pharmacy never waited for more than 20 minutes , the pharmacist down the line are knowledgeable ask you questions and competent and friendly, floral Dept bought some beautiful flowers for my friend's wife while he was in hospital over Valentine's day they were beautiful got at the last minute and it ended up being the last valentine they shared, cashier's and baggers will help with anything just ask! Digital coupons sometimes hard to find but ask someone at this store and they will help you or put it in manually! So for a little store they are a great store with big hearts which makes them the best store!!

Couldn't find my "member" card at checkout. Got frustrated when the lady was the LEAST bit helpful. I decided the stupid card program wasted wasted my time. Took all the groceries and put them back where I got them and headed out. On the way out the same lady says " I can get you a card". Hmm, sure after you watched me frantically searching my wallet for my card in the first place and only after I returned all my items and was leaving with an empty cart. I was treated like a second class citizen all because I didn't have their special card. Won't go there again unless it is a direct emergency.

In years past I felt this was one of the better Kroger's around, however, things have changed over the past 12 - 18 months, significantly so as of late. The parking is terrible and having the fuel center there, makes navigating the parking lot a challenge when they are busy, which is usually. Sometimes traffic coming off or back onto Garfield is backed up due vehicles trying to enter and exit. This location is consistently low or out of items, so finding what you are after can be frustrating sometimes. The aisles can be difficult to navigate and they seem to rely on the self checkout more and more, as it can get a long line from time to time. I find myself looking at other groceries stores again, after shopping here for years. Limited selection, too small for number of people, terrible parking lot and it appears to be going downhill. On the plus side, there are a number of great people who work here, but the number of rude people employed here as increased in number as well. The best time to shop is early in the morning as there are less people and more of a selection...if it was restocked overnight.

Okay let's start off why is there only three checkout aisles the rest are all self served you want people to use self check out lanes standing around doing Gino's what stood in line 10 minutes just as I literally get up to the register they finally open another one which you know thank goodness for the other people this is ridiculous you guys get paid pretty decent from what I've been told with your union and all is it pretty well and just I don't get it I guess I won't be shopping at Kroger's anymore that and you're going to charge employees that aren't vaccinated you're going to charge them more than other people that are wow I thought this was America

I normally am pretty easy going. But the fact that they wouldn't put a case of water into a cart for someone who has chronic kidney disease and just had surgery on his arm is by far the worst customer service I've ever experienced.

Wonderful friendly staff with the exception of the bakery. Pharmacy takes forever. Small store that could use an update and expansion. Since other stores nearby closed there's alot more non-locals shopping there so it's way busier than before.

Place has gone down hill, prices have skyrocketed due to theft increase. Not enough parking and terrible product inventory... it's time to step up your theft prevention before you lose all your paying quality customers.. you are an embarrassment to our community

The employees are the most helpful and friendly of any store in Peoria country. With instore discounts and coupons I recently saved 78 percent and average 30 to 45 percent. That's a budget helper.😎

This store never was great. Has gotten so much worse since closing of nearby store. With the increased business coming to this store, not only do they not seem to staff or stock for the excess business but they really don't seem to care either.

Used to be a nice store. Since the closing of other kroger stores this store has went downhill. They had bad hamburger, 3 1/2 pounds for 2 dollars was rotten. People were actually standing around talking about why this was being sold. A lady went and had a worker pull it off the shelves and said it must have turned brown since it was put out a cpl hours ago. Looked like it was out in the sun for a day. We have seen half drank bottles of alcohol on shelves, open food that has been eaten along with outdated produce being sold. Reason we now to pekin kroger. Hopefully bartonville will get a better grocery store.

Smaller Kroger with crummy parking due to the gas station taking up a third of their parking spots. The grocery offerings are less due to their size and the prominence of Kroger brand products. It is difficult to find items you need. Watch the meat from the butcher department. They tend to hide lots of fat on the bottom side of the packages. Produce is hit and miss with fresh products.Upside: friendly staff, fuel center, pharmacy, floral center, bakery. They tend to staff the checkout lanes so wait time in minimized during busy times.
