This place is by far the Best Vet I've ever gone to and I'm in rescue so that's saying a Lot! The vets and all the staff are so caring and attentive. The care is holistic and comprehensive. The office atmosphere is calm and relaxed. I cannot recommend enough! The pics show my 18 year old Super Senior, Izzie, getting her weekly acupuncture, chiropractic, and cold laser therapy. This along with medication and herbs, help manage her arthritis pain and chronic kidney disease. We are very fortunate to have them so close by.Prices are slightly higher than the high traffic vets around, but the care and service we receive is more than worth it. I wish more vets were like The Whole Pet and offered the holistic services and care.

As a pet owner, finding a veterinarian you trust and can rely on is of the utmost importance. That's why I cannot recommend The Whole Pet enough! Dr. Salee and her staff are truly amazing and have been taking care of my five dogs for the past nine years. From routine check-ups to more complex medical issues, Dr. Salee and her team have always provided top-notch care. They take a holistic approach to veterinary medicine, which means they consider the whole animal - body, mind, and spirit - when providing care. This approach has helped my dogs thrive, even as they age.In particular, Dr. Salee has worked wonders with my 14-year-old dog who has an autoimmune disease. She has kept him going strong and has helped us manage his condition in a way that allows him to live a happy and comfortable life. Both of my senior dogs, who are 70 lbs and 50 lbs respectively, are 14 years old and act like they are 10 - all thanks to the amazing care they receive at The Whole Pet.The staff at The Whole Pet are also incredible. They are always friendly, helpful, and genuinely care about the well-being of my pets. It is clear that they love what they do and are passionate about providing the best possible care for their patients.Overall, I cannot say enough amazing things about The Whole Pet. Dr. Salee and her team provide exceptional care and truly go above and beyond to ensure the health and happiness of their patients. If you're looking for a veterinarian who will treat your pets like family, The Whole Pet is the place to go!

Very pleased with all of our experiences here. My dog started visiting in winter of 2021, so roughly a year. He had tweaked his back, was walking with a slight limp and was no longer taking stairs. A different vet quickly recommend spinal surgery, but we wanted a second opinion.Dr. Tartof started him on a regimen of acupuncture and chiropractic work. Later we added some exercises at home and supplements. He's a changed dog.Even the groomers have commented on how much better he moves. You'd never know there was an injury and his puppy energy is back. Best of all, Dr. Tartof's recommendations have gradually reduced, reflecting the healing that's happened. We're not on an endless cycle of visits, only what's appropriate. The team is polite and friendly, we feel welcome and have received excellent care.

The staff is great here. Their policies make sense and we felt taken care of. Will be going back for follow up visits for our pup.

Took my dog here for the first time and had a great experience. After having a rough time with allergies and a horrible experience at our previous vet, the staff here gave us a thorough treatment plan and options. The staff was so helpful and kind to our dog. Definitely would recommend this place!

We have been going here for years, taking all 4 of our animals. The last few interactions have been extremely poor with the last being completely unacceptable. My wife was turned away with our one year old son with the office manager saying their policy was sent through text. My wife made the appointment and was never physically told the policy. We drive almost an hour there and her making my son sit in his car seat for 3 hours was not an option. We also could not send our 14 yr old dog in alone as we were afraid with his increased anxiety of setting him into a panic attack. Unfortunately, with all of the money, time, and energy we have put into this place, it was basically told to us that they did not care if we ever return. Careless and insensitive management of the office.

I have been taking my 4 animals here for years. I drive (happily) from Plainfield because of the quality of care I believe my animals to receive. I had the absolute most unacceptable experience recently and I am floored by the way I was treated. When I called to make my dogs appointment, covid policies were not stated; I proceeded to drive there with my dog and under 2 yr old son. When I got there, the receptionist said I couldn't bring my son in. She stated that it said so in a text message. She was very nice, asked her office manager if it would be ok; the office manager, Sheila, said absolutely not. My infant has to stay in the car. Are you serious? I can take my child anywhere, stores, restaurants, airplane, my OWN doctors appointments; but he isn't allowed to sit on my lap at the vets. Nor would they let me in to use the restroom. I called to speak with Sheila; she could not have been anymore rude, never apologized,no remorse. Just stayed our policy our policy. If you have a policy, tell the person when they call to make the appointment. Be a kind human being and speak to someone. Don't say, well, we text it to you. You didn't tell me when I called. Awful. I will never go back, which she didn't care. The worse customer service ever and this facility is supposed to be next level for quality of care and compassion.

I have had dogs for most of my life (more than a couple decades) and have generally felt frustrated and/or annoyed or upset after leaving veterinary appointments with my dog as we don't always see eye to eye on things like nutrition, vaccinations, and preventative care. I had just lost my senior dog recently and now have a new puppy, so was in search of a vet that I shared beliefs with about these issues. I did a lot of online googling and finally decided I would make our first vaccination appointment with The Whole Pet. I sent an online inquiry via their website for an appointment. Their reception staff called me the next day to gather some additional details about us, walk us through their policies, and book our appointment. The woman I spoke with was super pleasant and helpful and seemed to know her job well. She emailed me some forms to fill out and return. She let me know what to expect at the appointment with COVID restrictions, and how long the appointment would last. They required a $75 deposit as a new patient to hold my appointment which I was happy to pay. While I was at the appointment yesterday I had met 4 staff members. Each one of them seemed happy to be there and despite the masks, seemed to be smiling and were all very friendly towards myself and my puppy. The appointment was about an hour and 10 minutes long. We discussed in depth food and nutrition, including which brands and why, volume to feed, and ingredients. Dr. Tartof answered my questions about exercise for this age and breed of puppy, and reassured me on my concerns. She gave me recommendations and resources on neutering, age to neuter, and the benefits of doing it or not doing it from a health and behavioral standpoint. This is the first vet appointment I have been to in my entire life that started with asking me about our lifestyle and goals for the puppy, rather than just a wellness exam and vaccines. Based on the dog, breed, age, health, and lifestyle, we discussed which vaccines were recommended, or not, and why or why not. I left the clinic feeling like the appointment was truly about my dog and his life and health, not about pushing unneeded treatments, vaccinations, or specific foods. I learned more in that hour with them than I had at any other vet appointment I had been to in my life. As if that wasn't great enough, I was sent home with a "puppy pack" - a goodie bag of including a thick folder with a wealth of information on vaccines, a puppy book, dog behavior sheets, treat translators, toxic food lists, socialization checklist, and so much more (I won't spoil all the fun there is more in the bag!). This vet clinic and Dr. Jessica Tartof were a breath of fresh air. This is exactly what I had been looking for in a vet. Due to covid I didn't spend time in the reception area, but it looked very clean and welcoming. I can't say enough wonderful things about all of the staff I encountered yesterday while I was there and also who I have spoken to on the phone. The treatment rooms were great and my overall experience couldn't have been better.

The entire staff at the Whole Pet is very pleasant to work with. The approach towards optimal health for my dog has been one straddled in utilizing traditional medicine as well as alternative modalities. In sum, there's no ”silver bullet" to every challenge. I am so thankful for this place and would recommend this facility to anyone looking to take a full spectrum approach to caring for their furry companions.

Excellent first appointment! Staff was friendly and compassionate. My dog Finnegan usually is nervous at a vet but not here. Dr. Suter had so much information and was there for questions and advice. Truly a great experience!

The staff here is absolutely amazing. I had an emergency and Dr Theresa Salee went above and beyond in carrying for my cat, she also showed genuine concern and cared about me too. I had an emergency, and having an emergency with your pet can not only be frightening, but deeply emotional. The support from both the doctor and her staff made my experience the best veterinary experience I've had in an extremely long time. They also did everything possible to avoid surgery. Between laser, aquapuncture, fluids they were able to help her greatly, no surgery was needed. They also were spectacular as my cat required gas to allow them to work on her. I requested for everyone's safety. Best part, she drphe very quickly after. It was light enough to get things done, not to keep her sudated all day. The whole time they worked as a team and yet were supportive of me. Prices are reasonable for the care she requires, and it was all managed holistically. It doesn't get better then that. Love the supportive staff😃 thank you👍

I swear by The Whole Vet and highly recommend them! I have one dog that has terrible allergies. We went through extensive testing and failed treatments with multiple vets until we brought her to Dr. SaLee. After just 2 visits we found the right combination of eastern and western medicine that has her allergies under control. Another one of my dogs is 15 years old and started having terrible anxiety. An herbal tincture was provided which turned her back into her old self. We have 7 dogs of all ages and have done everything including standard wellness visits, laparoscopic spays, dentals, acupuncture, laser, and chiropractic. I wouldn’t have believed the results we experienced were possible if I didn’t witness them myself! They are not the least expensive option but they are extremely good, always fit me in when I have emergencies, and feel that they truly care about my dogs as if they were their own. I drive an hour to visit The Whole Vet so they must be worth it!!

My beloved cat needed oral surgery. She is 6 years old and generally healthy, but she is TERRIFIED of other people. When our doorbell rings, Jessica will hide for a couple hours. She has NEVER let a stranger see her, let alone pet her her. She barely made it into the carrier, and she SCREAMED the whole way from home to the Whole Pet. When we got there she went silent and hid. EVERYONE was so sweet to us. From the lady at the front desk to Casey the assistant and the techs. Of course Dr. Bhatt is hands down THE best, I will NEVER bring Jess to anyone else unless Dr. Bhatt directs us for more specific work. Everyone babied my baby and were understanding when I got choked up leaving her behind (the front desk lady reassured me when she saw I was biting back tears). When I picked Jessie up everyone was very kind again. The surgery went well (it was more work than we expected, but I trust the doctor to do what is needed for my cat's wellbeing). Jessica was off sorts following her "adventure" but was better than ever within a few days and able to eat with enthusiasm I hadn't seen in weeks. The Whole Pet is a bit of a haul from my home, but I will make that drive again if needed. The quality of care is beyond anything I had hoped for (I think Jessie got more compassionate care that I get at my own doctor!). I highly suggest this vet!

Researched vets in the area and chose Whole Pet because they advertised a "holistic approach". Dropped off my dogs ENTIRE medical history 3 days prior for review (as requested), during the appointment it was obvious that no one had even looked at the records. Then, after only spending a few minutes with our dog, instead of a "holistic" approach the vet prescribed a pill. No follow up was discussed and no follow up call was made to see how she was doing (like previous vets did). More expensive, little time spent with pets and no follow up.

Great docs and staff but incredibly expensive. I've done extensive research after my last bill - I can get the same quality care for 1/3 the cost at many other places in the area. My dog has gone to this vet since he was born, but I had to change after 10 years simply because I can't afford it anymore. I'm so sad.

We brought our dog there because he had been diagnosed with an inoperable cancer. We follow the protocol and purchased all of the herbs and minerals suggested by Dr. Tartof. We came in for monthly visits as needed and the dog received tender care. But when her dog started having problems Dr. Targof was not available for four days. Our dog died and I truly believe could have been helped to stay with us a little longer if his butt cared enough to at least have a phone call with us as we desperately tried to reach her. The office just kept telling us she would not be in until a certain day which was four days after we made the initial call. I understand that people need days off but when you are treating a patient that is known to be in a very difficult medical situation it seems they would provide the office with some exceptions to not bothering them on their days off. And one of the days was simply because of snow; I fail to understand why she could not call to help feisty. I do not understand why she could not call to help us get through his decline. I do not understand why the person we trusted with his final care could not be there for him.

We had a seriously I'll cat. Dr. Tartoff and staff provided excellent alternative medical care, and ultimately palliative care that allowed our cat symptom relief. We are moving our other cat to Whole Pet for regular care. excellent Clinic.

I would not recommend this vet to any of my family and friends! It stinks because I truly valued their holistic approach. However, I have no trust in their treatment or how they treated my dog. Definitely don’t waste your money here and don’t leave your dog with them alone!

They were able to treat my dog's nail issue on the same day with just a little time before closing, thank you. Friendly and professional staff. Highly recommended.

They used to be very good. The last couple of years they have declined. The last time I waited almost an hour and was told the doctor still didn't how much longer it would be
