My pittie mix had horrible pancreatitis and we tried so many things to manage it but his numbers were so dangerously high. We had spent thousands on vet appointments and tests. I was hitting dead ends with dog nutritionists until I found Alicia and Holistic Pet Wellness. She was so thorough, and really listened to our needs and concerns. She was available for questions and adjustments and followed up to check on him. In under 2 months my dogs pancreas numbers went from off the charts to perfect! My vets jaw was on the floor at the turnaround. And they had been wanting to put my pup on Rx kibble (which we really wanted to avoid because of preservatives and all the nasty that goes into kibble) Now they wanted to know all of the details on how I was able to fix his issues with home made food so they can share with other patients. The meal plan was so easy to follow and she even extended the measurements so I could prepare it in bulk and freeze. She even helped source the supplements. We grind the food because our pup prefers that. I am the OG crazy dog mom and I’m very particular about my fur baby. Alicia totally understood that he is part of our family. I am so thankful to have found her online and would highly recommend Holistic Pet Wellness to anyone.

Sorry for the upcoming novel... but we cannot say enough positive things about Alicia! We contacted her to help with our old pupper, Brutus, who had multiple chronic and severe medical issues (Diabetes, Inflammatory Bowel Disease, blood clotting issues, Myelopathy & Neuropathies, and more). We had lots of vets and specialists for all of Brutus's issues, and we were having a VERY hard time finding someone who was a good fit for us and Brutus to help us with his dietary needs. He was extremely tricky because of his combination of diabetes and IBD, making him quite a difficult case for finding a diet that would not cause him to be chronically sick from one reason or the other. We had worked with board certified vet nutritionists and that always never felt right, as Brutus was an individual, with individual needs, and we needed someone who would truly listen to us, and listen to what Brutus's body was saying. Not just doing things because "it should be working" or because "it normally works". Brutus wasn't normal :).We contacted Alicia when we were at a loss. We felt hopeless and like we had no paths left to take and she made us feel like we had options and hope again. She was in Brutus's (and our) corner and you could feel that! What a difference that makes when you are trying to help your animal! She was a great listener and did not take what we were saying for granted and allowed what we knew about Brutus to help her create diets for him. She was a great communicator and was helpful during urgent times when we needed to make adjustments or changes. She didn't keep us waiting long before we got a response from her which is beyond helpful when your pet is having a hard time.We appreciated so much that she treated him as an individual. We think this empathy came from her personal history of having her own dog with similar issues (just ask her about sweet Mylah) and her knowing first-hand how "grey" it is to have a dog where diet plays a much larger role in their life than others. And that not everything is black and white and it takes work, and time, and trial and error, and patience, and empathy.She helped us see the ight through one of our hardest times and you can't put a price on peace of mind and knowing that you're being listened to and that your pet is being thought of as your family member.We highly, highly recommend Alicia and all her knowledge and compassion to help you with your dog's diet. Especially if you are struggling and really need someone to help you find options. Although our Brutus never met her, we know he would have loved her!

Our dog Lola was diagnosed with Intestinal Lymphangiectasia & Pancreatitis and needed a very low fat diet. Alicia was the first and only person I reached out to to find the right diet for Lola. She tailor made a diet to specifically meet Lola’s needs. Since then Lola has been feeling and doing great and that’s all thanks to Alicia’s diet formulation and advice. Phoebe is thriving on her new diet! She loves the food and waits patiently for me to prep her meals every day. I initially reached out to Alicia when our vet was concerned with Phoebe's weight. For an active dog (3+ miles a day), I wasn't sure how we would achieve what they were asking for. Turns out a healthy diet was all she needed! Phoebe just had her annual vet visit and they were so pleased with her current health/weight. Her coat is looking better and shedding has lessened a bit. Shes one happy dog!Thanks Alicia!!

Alicia is great to work with! She was very knowledgable in dog nutrition, both home cooked meals and healthy premade foods. She was able to tailor that knowledge to our dog’s specific needs. She has been very available for follow up as we enacted her recommendations. She truly has passion and compassion for both dogs and their owners . So happy we found Alicia and will be working with her whenever we need dog nutrition advice.

I'm a new dog mom, which means I'm absolutely a helicopter parent and I freak out over the slightest change in Margo's eating habits/behavior/energy levels, etc. It's all very healthy and fine, I'm doing great. Anyway, Alicia is always available to answer questions about diet and behavior, or to offer product suggestions from toys to keep Margo occupied while I work from home all day to probiotics to save me from cleaning up diarrhea situations. She's suggested diet additions that have kept my little friend at a healthy weight and that she seems to love. Thanks, Alicia!
