Al has been my go-to photographer, since 1997. Everything from my wedding portraits, to cherished photos from my modeling days, as well as my business headshots. He sees his subjects from an artist's point of view, and I trust him implicitly, to capture something special and unique. He's always understood my love of timeless images; photos that seem to fit in any era, with a classic aesthetic.It's the subtle things he notices and brings to the photo, as well as his tendency to think outside the box to improvise, that give his photos their magic.

As a child, I had many portraits taken by Al. It was a fun event that my sister and I did almost annually. I still remember the anticipation of waiting to see the end result and which photo my parents would choose to hang in our home. Even as a child, I admired those portraits, and they are treasures that I still have to this day. Fast forward many decades later, I am now a mom and have had the privilege of Al taking portraits of my little girl. It’s almost as if I can see her growing up through each photo he has taken of her. His ability to capture her true character in a photo is profound. I am beyond grateful that I have these memories and I am forever thankful to Al for these precious gifts.

Al created both portraits and paintings of our two younger boys. They were both fantastic. Although Al's artistry is superior, what impressed me the most was his ability to capture exactly our boys' unique personalities. We were so happy with his work that we purchased both a large portrait and a painting he did of the portrait. Both are hanging in our home and make us smile every time we see them.

Over many years, Al’s portraits have provided an intimate chronology of our sons’ growth from infancy to adulthood. The first time we saw Al’s work hanging in the Ice House Mall in Barrington it took my breath away, and the first portraits he took of our boys were so amazing they brought me to tears. Al has an innate knack for putting his subjects totally at ease, and that leads to the most wonderful results. I would give him 15 stars if I could! A Buschauer portrait is definitely an investment, but one worth making. Al’s portraits of our boys are among our most prized possessions.

We treasure the portraits Al has done for our family. Our daughter is a dancer and an equestrian. Al captured her grace, power and independent, loving spirit in each setting numerous times. Al has been photographing me and my family since I was a toddler. I remember the halls of my childhood home filled with our portraits, some of which I have now in my own home as an adult. He always had a way with us as kids and knew exactly how to capture the most perfect moment. Al did a wonderful portrait for me with my cat and rabbit.
