I recently went to petland Aurora And everyone was super helpful I got greeted at the door, And they even let me bring my dog in and see if the puppies would get along with mine. All of the puppies are super cute and they seem to be well taken care of. This has been one of the best visits ever at a pet store. The puppy is coming with amazing things too, they came with a free spay and neuter, a free in a free lifetime training program I don't know any other pet place that does that. I would highly recommend this store to anyone who is Looking in the field of getting a new puppy or kitten. I mean look at these cuties!!

Just brought our new puppy home. He is a havanese! His name is Gizmo, they made the process easy as possible. They gave us a whole bunch of puppy care items to make his transition as easy as possible for him. He has been an awesome addition and the whole family loves him.

Found the most adorable puppies here! We came by to see a few and just fell in love with a Morkie. Staff was very helpful, had a lot of information, was able to answer all questions. The process of taking our puppy home was very easy, convenient and we took home so many advantages

This place deserves no stars because the experience was so awful. We purchased a dog in August from this location. When we were looking at her in store we noticed a slight cough, like some of the other people in past reviews have said happened with their dogs. When we inquired the workers said that it was nothing abnormal and she had been checked out by the vets recently and she was deemed okay. We should have known then not to continue but she stole our hearts and we decided to purchase her. The records that were given to us showed that she had been losing weight in Petland's care and when we inquired about that they told us that it was because it was probably due to different scales being used and it wasn't anything to be concerned with. Later we would come to find out that that would not be the case. Within a week of getting her home she showed signs of being sick as she was constantly having diarrhea. Our vet had trouble getting to the bottom of what was going on, but they suggested we reach out to Petland about the ongoing problems. We ended up taking her to the vet almost every other day because she needed to be stabilized. These were the vets that Petland required us to go, but they kept telling us there was something wrong with our dog Oreo and didn't know what it was, and when that vet could not treat her or give her the 24/7 care required they recommended us to see a specialist and emergency vets. This was a life or death situation for her. We had to decided very quickly what to do and in the end it was an easy decision for us, we had to save her. At this point she was less than 2 pounds and she was unable to keep any food in her. She was losing protein and it was secreting into her little body and her little stomach blew up like a balloon and her neck blew up because they had stuck her so many times to put an IV in her little legs that they had to go through her neck at that point. She had to have constant around the clock care that no one could give her besides a vet. She was a little fighter though and we had to do everything in our power to save her. The vet did every test to see what was wrong with her and it turns out that she had a parasite that was eating the inside of her. If she had stayed with Petland they would have seen this and would have had to do the same thing to save her or let her die. The first few times we went to the vet they highly recommended going through the insurance company Petland deals with because they strongly felt something was severely wrong with the dog. We filed a claim with them and we submitted every piece of documentation we had from every vet and Petland and the insurance company made us wait over two months for a response and when they finally came up with a decision they decided on an amount that is grossly unfair for what we had to do to save her and what we actually paid for her. We were faced with a decision to save or let our little baby die and we chose to save her and would choose that every single time but we purchased her sick from Petland and their response to us with this whole situation was extremely unfair and disappointing. We suffered tremendously through this whole ordeal, late nights wondering if our little puppy was going to pass on, sleep deprivation, and constant emotional and financial hardships. We have all paperwork to back up our claims, as well as the vets that will give statements and we have chosen not to cash the check we received from Petland because we believe their amount is unfair and legal action is necessary at this point. Whatever you do, do not purchase from Petland Naperville. Sure the dogs are cute and the workers are nice but I do not believe the dogs are well and if you purchase one and it is sick Petland will not acknowledge or work with you when you choose to save the dogs life.

They take very good care of the pups here. They are vetted and after a visit to my vet she is in excellent health. Although they are quite pricey, I couldn't be happier with my cute little mini Aussie, Misty!

Okay where do I begin...This first young man was super nice that greeted us, but as he was doing so another young man started speaking over him which I found was super rude. Now let's talk about the store itself which definitely looks run down and old for sure. Guess it isnt the same as it used to be 15 years ago when I got one of my doggies there. Now let's talk about all the adorable puppies which they do indeed have there! The issue we seen with them though is alot of them looked "sick" with runny noses, eyes, and even could see some coughing. Was super sad too see. The saddest part though is the bernese mountain dogs which are still there from over a month ago. Like maybe if yall didn't charge over 3,000$ for dogs you would sell much more of them and they wouldn't have these sad lives in these small cages. Overall, we left wishing we could save all these poor puppies from you all. 👎

Friendly and helpful staff! I love how Petland has a history of the puppy you are looking at and work with breeders that are humane in the treatment of dogs. I definitely recommend going in to talk to the staff for research!

I had an absolutely amazing experience at Petland Aurora while shopping for my very first puppy! I scheduled a reservation to meet the puppy after looking through photos online, and it was super easy. When I came in, Claude greeted me and walked me over to the meeting area. Leslie brought over the puppy and they both walked me through the entire purchasing and homing process. They were so knowledgeable, friendly, and generous with their time. It felt like I was the only customer in the store, even though they were making time to assist so many others. I would absolutely return for any other puppy purchasing needs, and I’m so excited that I got to utilize them for my first time experience. Thank you, Claude + Leslie!

So happy they are closed we bought a puppy from this store over a year ago and they sold us puppy that needed veterinary attention right away. We almost lost him because of his blood sugar being so low. Then to find out Petland had us sign a document stating they would not cover hypoglycemia so we had to cough of sum of $6,000 at Medvet after having the puppy for 72 hours. Reached out to Petland Customer service number and their was no remorse or sense of urgency to help in any way. Needles to say I am so happy they are not allowed to sell puppies anymore because they really financially affected a lot of customers with no reimbursement.

I think I speak for most when I say that the moment I laid eyes on my little girl, I knew I was taking her home. The staff here did a wonderful job helping us bring our little girl home. They were extremely helpful and knowledgeable during the entire process. All dogs here have all of their shots completed and documented for you. They are also very helpful with pricing to help find a price that works for you! They even go the extra mile and provide you with a complimentary care package that has everything you need for bringing home a puppy, including food, a cage, bedding, toys, and so much more! No matter which puppy you are looking at, you can see and spend as much time as you want with these adorable puppies. All in all, the entire experience was fantastic, and we got to take home our little bundle of joy with ease.

Excellent service and personalized. You can see more than one dog and spend time with them to get to know them. Puppies seem like they get excellent care and are grouped by age. The most wonderful aspect of getting a dog here is that they work with you in terms of price if it is out of your reach. They also offer a puppy care package 📦 with lots of goodies for your new pet like toys, a kennel, treats, etc. They offer free spay/neuter services at certain veterinary clinics including in the Chicago area. So first things first: BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!We were a little skeptical at first since this is our first puppy.Valerie held steady communication with me and listened to my every need, she helped my family and I decide which dog was perfect for us. The whole team was there with us every step of the way from the moment we stepped foot in the store. They were friendly and patient. They explained the financing process, warranties, and everything else that had to do with our puppy in depth and made sure we understood everything. I will definitely be recommending Petland to friends and family in their search for a new puppy. On top of being occupied with the move to the new address they were still able to fulfill our needs, we are so happy with our Miniature Schnauzer! We have been so happy with our puppy we got about two weeks ago. My fiance and I adopted an adorable miniature schnauzer that was a bit older, and we got a great deal. So much came with the adoption. The only downside to the whole process was that or 6.5 pound dog got a few toys suited for a great Dane! We worked with Alexis and had such an amazing experience. She will work with you, answer all your questions, and help you get whatever discounts you can. We are so happy with our puppy. Thanks for the great experience!!

Ryan was very helpful and welcoming. He allowed me to feel comfortable with playing with any dog I wanted. I've been coming here for several years because I always feel super welcomed to play with any dog I want without it being any hassle. All employees are friendly. The owner, Carl is very nice and personable. Always been a great experience coming here. I recommend to all people to come here weather you're looking to buy a dog or just play with a puppy!

I have never been so impressed by a puppy place! Every place I've been to before had so many rules only allowing us to play with one dog a day or requiring a person 21 years or older, but this shop simply wanted to the dogs to be loved and played with. The staff was so kind and helpful they clearly explained the process of how to adopt and the the services they offer. The puppies were so loved and excited to play and the staff encouraged us to see as many as we would like. I wish I could take every dog home 😍, 100% will be coming back often to play with puppies! If your having a bad day coming to this store will surely cheer you up 😁

Isabelle was amazing! She answered every question i had so politely and her bubbly personality made it so easy to talk to her. We did not end up buying a dog but i will definitely be coming back when im ready. The prices of the dogs are higher but they come with a lot and makes it well worth it!

I got a full tour of Petland in Naperville--back room, office, every area and I was not expected nor did I ever expect to even get a tour. I was truly amazed to see that the owners (a lovely, local couple with long-time Fox Valley roots) were so involved in the business. That is what pulled me in to the business. They visit every breeding facility (they do not work with any puppy mills and only bring in puppies that are stringently selected through government-guided breeders), they get to know the families that host the puppies--no gigantic conglomerates or horror stories, and they hire dedicated technicians. In addition, they have an outdoor run where every dog is exercised and they have special ventilation and a regimented cleaning/sterilization process. Did I mention that they love it when people play with the puppies? It is good for them. The store is clean and the staff is super friendly and on top of things. Employees are a direct reflection of their leaders. Their pups are healthy and adorable. Don't listen to all the news about all places being puppy mills. This one is DEFINITELY not it. Support a local business and check them out!

My fiancé and I went in here last night to look at puppies. The staff was not very helpful, but eventually was able to get one of the staff to get a puppy out for us to meet. She went in the back and grabbed the puppy out of the cage by it's leg while it scrambled to get away from her. We played with the puppy for a while and the stuff never came by to see if we needed anything or had any questions. I really loved the puppy we were playing with and thought she'd be a good fit for our home. When I finally got a staff member's attention, I asked how much she cost. The staff member did not know and said she would find out for me. We waited another 20 minutes, playing with the puppy and wondering where the heck she went. I could see her in the corner of the store doing something on her phone. I got her attention again and she said someone else was looking up the price for us, I said okay that's fine. We waited another 15 minutes and at this point we were starving. I got her attention again and she said the computers were running slow. There didn't seem to be anyone else there but her and she wasn't on the computer at all, just chasing her kid around the store and texting. I told her to just take the puppy back, so she did and we left. We never did find out the price and they missed out on a potential sale. I hope that puppy finds another good home to go to. She was my dream dog and I hope I can find one like her in the future.

We had a great experience. The puppy we were scheduled to see had been bought and they showed us a different one. This was after we had had a chance to peruse all of the puppies. We ended up seeing a blue Merle mini Aussie. We sure do love him. My son and his family were with us and went home with a puppy of their own. The staff were marvelous even though it was busy. Would go again.

The experience at the store was great, very nice with great customer service. But after the trip to the first free exam by their approved vet was very upsetting. Not only does our new puppy has Ear Mites she also has Giardia. Which their vet said most likely came from the other puppies at Petland. Then we took our other dogs in to our own vet just to find out it was transmitted to them also. Now we have the extra expensive to treat our other dogs as well.

They do have some adorable puppies, but they will not show you or tell you any prices until they bring the puppy out for you to see inside of a gated area. Only then will they talk to you about prices and they will tell you how much financing is a month prior to telling you the actual total. I understand they want you to build a bond with the dog so you won't really care or look at the price, but that is not how you should approach people looking for a dog. They also do not seem to know anything about the breeds of the dogs or any real information about them.
