Came here for some fresh grass seed for our shaded front yard. The owner was super helpful and bagged up the exact amout of seed needed. He also takes on abandoned cats in the area and lets them live in the shop. My kids had a blast petting them!

Can purchase bulk grass seed (Sunny / Shady) as well as bulk fertilizer, seeds, bulbs, plants, etc. Owners are friendly and helpful answering questions about planting and use of their products for sale.

Great place! Beautiful golden full wheat straw bales, not like the wimpy old gray bales from the big box stores. Pretty much basic seed and feed but they've been around for at least 60+ years in Aurora. Old fashioned store with good 'ol fashioned service & style in a family business. Not many places like this left and if you are under the age of 40 or so, you might not appreciate this place. OK, it's not the brightly lit, sterile florescent/LED shopping mall. It looks, feels and smells (this is a good thing!) like a feed store! (at least in this person's opinion....)

SO down with Griswold's DOWN-HOME feed shop. Got straw for my 2015 and 2016 straw bale gardens. Consistently happy! Friendly and knowledgable service, great prices, and outstanding products. This place has everything to grow and feed whatever you need and these guys will go the extra mile for you. Always trying to avoid megacorps, nothing makes me happier than supporting Griswold.

Griswolds has stood the test of time in Aurora! They are extremely knowledgable and are more than willing to answer any question you may have.They also have a hand mixed birdseed that has every critter in the neighborhood visiting my yard!I am a customer for life!!
