The soup was curdled, the fish (2 sm pcs) was mooshy & chips for $10.00 ππ there was black things in the ketchup bottle & our rootbeer floats tasted sour. We got a side of 1000 island dressing that had a date from july 2019. 2 rootbeer floats & lunch plates for 2 $35.00. I'll pass!!π‘ππ on the plus side the Rueben & chips were great! π

I had the all you can eat fried cod with handmade fries. Great service and great people. There's a museum on the second floor. Great place to stop by if you are making a Route 66 Road Trip like me! π

Step back in time with this delightful 1930 Style Cafe. Food is very good at a reasonable price. The owners are very friendly. Definitely worth the stop if you're into 1930s nostalgia and driving along Old Route 66.

What a gem! I stopped in to use Atlanta's free electric vehicle charger downtown and ended up staying for pie and coffee. Behind the unassuming store front is a 1950s style cafe with a counter and tables. Don't bypass the cafe and the town while passing on I-55.

Perfect food, perfect service, perfect ambiance. This retro diner, around since the early days of car transportation is a fun stop for the entire family. Most everything made in house. Walls chock a block full of memorabilia. Vintage machines, too, in working order. Bonus? Giant hot dog man across the street!

We felt like we went back in time in this cute little cafe off of Route 66. We were already full from eating earlier but we stopped in for some of their delicious homemade pies and a piece of red velvet cake.

Fantastic food, service, and atmosphere! You get a great plate for very inexpensive. We tried a variety of dishes from pulled pork horseshoes to salads to waffles. You will NOT leave hungry! The team taking care of us tonight was highly hospitable and professional, while not being overbearing. We were extremely comfortable, and we loved the atmosphere of the place. Such an amazing historical gem!

Loved my skillet! So delicious. it sounds weird but it was one of the best I've ever had. And the employees were so very nice. The guy chatted with us and the other table that came in. Answered questions and provided insight. I hope i have a good reason to be back in this area again soon because I'll be back here to dine again!

Great diner. If your in the area or driving through itβs a must stop. They have a cute museum upstairs and the chicken diner was the best I have had in years. Bill was a great host and very funny. All of the staff was great and friendly. Two thumbs up.

This is a great small town restaurant! They have very friendly and accommodating staff. The food is great! Fresh made fries. The Frisco melt is delicious. The chicken strips were very tasty too! They even made my daughter homemade honey mustard sauce for her strips. It is so worth a stop! Hours are not standard, so call first.

This place has been through a lot over the last 5 or 10 years, including many changes of management. But it seems to have really found its groove with the current management. The food is absolutely fantastic. Everything I've tried has been outstanding. The service has been good. The atmosphere is great. I especially like the old 1950s pinball machine that is still working perfectly.

We happened to stop by there on a crazy busy day. Normally I would deduct a star for how long we had to wait, but the staff were so amazingly friendly and helpful that I'm adding the star back on.We took our kids there and they loved being in an old 'diner' and learning how to open bottles with a bottle opener. Our friendly waitress let us know about the museum upstairs and so we had fun looking through a small but surprisingly interesting local museum while we waited for our food. And the food... SO GOOD! Very tasty and presented in a very appealing fashion. We cleared our plates!Regrettably, we were only passing through on a road trip, but if we lived in the area, we would be regular customers!

This is such an awesome diner. I have been here several times when working in the area. This place has such COOL history with route 66 I believe I read somewhere that it dates back to the 1930's. The food is SO SO delicious. I have not had a bad meal here in over probably 20 visits. Just leave room for their pie choices and check their hours of operation . I believe they are closed on Mondays & Tuesdays.

This is a delightful kitchy diner. The food was terrific, the pie was DELICIOUS! But, the interesting part was the museum upstairs!! Really interesting history & local history. A perfect stop on any route 66 travelers agenda. There was a patch of original road at the edge of town! The folks in Atlanta were just so nice & welcoming.

Driving to Chicago we pulled off in Atlanta for fuel and food. Drove a little further to the Palms Grill. Found the cutest diner with delicious food. Super friendly staff. I got the special of fried chicken and mashed potatoes. The chicken was absolutely divine. Very flavorful and tender. Definitely a hidden gem. Will be stopping back again!

Along route 66 you come into Atlanta...this is where I discovered my most favorite diner. The food is fabulous and so is the service. Eating here is an experience of places long ago. You have an all American icon there and I will support your diner forever. Take the time to stop in and taste not just the food but a piece of Americana. I love you folks!

Vintage feel, good food, only thing to mar the experience was the catsup. Very good hand cut fries and I poured runny vinegar flavored sauce over them. Don't know whether was cheap catsup poured into Heinz bottle or watered down. Friendly service, great pie.

So just so happened to find this little diner right on the old route 66, in a cool, small town. Very friendly staff with some cool story's to tell, the food was excellent, especially the horseshoe which is an original recipe to the state of illinois. If you get a chance stop here.London
