Their new doctor after Dr. Phinney died was so impersonal she walked in without even my dog, seeing her snuck up behind my dog, and Stuckert, as I was kind of awestruck?!! She didn’t say hi to my dog she didn’t distract my dog she snuck up behind my dog and stuck her in the muscle!!! Look at the picture can you imagine being like that to such a sweet dog?! my dog limped and cried for a week!! When I called the vet in hysterics all they said was it’s no big deal. She’ll get over it!! I was not happy. Then next year when I needed another shot. They said well we can’t give you the shot unless you take an exam also for $128. And if you take that you also have to do this for $100. It ends up costing huge amounts of money. And none of it was necessary. Because in Taylorville, Illinois 20 minutes away there is a great vet. Who will do the shot without an exam for 20 bucks? Animal Kingdom had all of the care and personalization that assumption veterinary clinic lacked.Then I went to Taylorville and got the shot had an appointment set up with them here to get my tags and now they say you gotta go get him from the county because you didn’t get the shot here!!! They manipulate and extort our community, especially the elderly and the ones who have to rely on a set income!! this is a terrible place ran in a terrible way

I would highly recommend Dr. Forden and her staff to anyone! She has gone above and beyond to answer questions for our Yorkie that has lots of special needs and our cat as well. Without breaking the bank or pushing unwanted treatments or tests. Thanks so much Dr. Forden!

A little over 3 years ago was my first visit to AVC. I had 2 American Bully pups and they were sick. Really sick. I brought them in to see Doc. He ran some tests and confirmed what I feared. They had Parvo. He said they had a very small chance for survival. He gave them some meds and explained to me in great detail what I need to do for them. Sent the girls home with medicine and my directions. I did as I told and checked in to Doc daily. After a couple of days and no real signs of improvement I was ready to give up. I couldn't watch them suffer anymore. He told me not to give up yet and give them a couple more days. Sure enough by the second day they did a 180. If it weren't for Doc, Tee and Pam I wouldn't have my girls today. They're the best!

Dr. Forden is an amazing vet. She takes great care and pride in everything she does. She is passionate and her heart is ALWAYS for the well-being of the pet. Clinic looks beautiful! Only wish we could've taken her with us on our move

Horrible pricings. They are charging 367$ to spay a female kitten, and 206$ for shots.Absolutely insane prices, would not recommend no matter how good the care may be, there's care out their equally as good if not better for much more manageable prices.Do not support them as they are nothing like the previous owner who passed away.

Dr. Fleming and staff are the best! We have always been treated with kindness and professionalism. They truly love pets and desire to help keep your pets in top condition at an affordable price.. I would recommend them to anyone who has pets. We drive several miles to go there but we feel they are definitely worth the drive!

Dr. Fleming and his team are very professional and caring.When you meet him you get the immediate sense that he is as passionate today as he was when he started 40+ years ago.He's also practical and direct. I respect that about any healthcare provider be it for a person or a pet.

Assumption Veterinary Clinic has very caring techs and an excellent vet. I don't think anyone will ever be able to fill Dr. Flemming's shoes, but they are very close! My dog had a 9 am appointment for his yearly shots and heartworm test, but he decided he wasn't going to cooperate when he got in the exam room. After a couple of different tries, he still wouldn't hold still long enough for them to do their work, so rather than stressing him out, they put him under mild sedation, did the heartworm test, gave him his shots, trimmed his nails, and treated him like absolute royalty. If you need a vet in central Illinois, these are THE ones to go to!

Dr. Fleming has been our family vet for over 30 years. My parents took all of their pets to him and now we take our dog there as well. Can’t say enough great things about Dr. Fleming and his staff. They really do care about animals and take excellent care of their patients. Highly recommend!!

We've always gone to Dr.. Fleming. Great clinic! My most recent visit was for my new kitten. Adopted a kitten from a shelter, he picked up an infection while he was there. Dr. Fleming drained his abscess and put him on antibiotics, he's feeling so much better. He also gave me a lot of good advice on being a new kitten mom.

Doc takes care of all my Yorkis. If they seem rude its probably YOU & not them. They are an extremely busy vet but as soon as Doc heard my 9 wk old Parti Yorki was ill he didn't hesitate to bring him in. Love this place & will never go anywhere else unless I have no choice!

We have brought all of our dogs and cats to Assumption Vet Clinic 2002. No issues no worries. Everyone is caring and easy to deal with. They care about your animal and you don't ever feel like they are just trying to make a buck or play on your emotions! I can't say enough good about them!

Doc and his entire staff are excellent. They have stayed late for me when I would drive down on Fridays. When my new puppy had parvo doc and his staff were wonderful, saved his life. I'll never go anywhere else.

Very rude!!! I called to find out how much an appointment would be for my dog because she may have an eye infection and the rude woman said can you call back in a couple hours or later we are busy. I said no I'm sorry I bothered you I won't be calling backAbsolutely unprofessional and unacceptable. You can't say....hey our office visit is this much, shots, are this much, and typically something like what your talking about could be this much if it is that but we need to look to be sure but thats a general idea of costs? Instead rude lady says call back later lol don't do business with these people.

I have been taking my puppies there for 20 years ! My dogs love the doc and his staff ! We had to put our oldest dog to sleep after 16 years they were so understanding and compassionate . They also arranged the cremation and return of the ashes to us !

Dr. Fleming knows us & our dog by name when we walk in & he is so kind to our 14yr old beagle. He even called us once on a Sunday to check on her after an emergency visit for one of her lung attacks. He has the pets & their people as his top priority.

We took our cat to the emergency vet in Springfield and they charged $500 and couldn't figure out what was wrong with him. We took him to Dr. Fleming the next day and he knew by just looking at him in only a few minutes and only cost 1/5 of what the other vet cost.

I have nothing but great admiration for Dr. Fleming he is a great Vet and his staff is exceptional as well. I would recommend to anyone looking for an affordable and honest vet with low cost but great care for your loving pet.
