I bring my pup here for nail dremeling and I’ll never go anywhere else. Like many dogs, it’s not his favorite thing…but he’s had a particularly rough time at other places. He’s escaped the grip of people at the large chain pet stores, had to be muzzled at the vet, etc. Sean is so quick and skilled with how he handles him, we’re in and out in about 5 minutes! Highly recommend!

A friend recommended this groomer and we have been using their services for several months now. No matter how busy, Sean always receives us (2 little chihuahuas and me) with great enthusiasm. He and other staff members have always handled the dogs wonderfully and taken care of their needs in a very professional manner. Very fairly priced and superb service! (Update Dec '17 - I've had many, many, all very wonderful, experiences here and have observed Sean serve other clients as well during my visits. He is so great and patient with all of them!)

The Grooming Lodge is the best! It has a very friendly, upbeat environment. The owner is knowledgable on dogs, both grooming and their well-being and health. They treat the dogs very kindly and make them comfortable. Before your first appointment, (pre-COVID) they have you come take a tour of the place with your pet so the pet is familiar with it when you drop them off. They just go that extra mile and it makes all the difference. I will only go here - no other place has come close to their quality.

Sean and his staff are great! I wasn't sure how my cat, Kia would respond to going to a groomer but Sean was incredible with her and she was so calm and relaxed on the drive home after her pampering. I have been coming here for years with my dog Roxy. The staff is so attentive to her, even though she is easily scared and hates anyone going near her... they still treat her with such warm attention. Sean is always so good with her (and the rest of his team) and the grooming is top notch. The COVID protocols are very good and I applaud how the store as a whole takes great care in everyone's safety. I will go here as long as they stay open. Thanks Grooming Lodge!

The Grooming Lodge Team is lovely and it's clear that they love the dogs. I bathed Yogi (my 85# who thinks she's a 15# dog) in my bathtub for a year when I finally gave up and reprieved both of us from the stress of DIY-grooming and took her to TGL for a nail trim and grooming. Sean and his team treat my sometimes skittish girl like a member of the puppy family; before she can settle in, she has to see/kiss all of the groomers. While the pooch would resist a mom-bath, just saying "Sean" produces a wiggle butt and an eager girl at the back door. Yogi always comes out happy, looking and smelling fresh, and she is noticeably more content after a grooming session. Sean and the team are conscientious about her ears, her skin, her hair, and natural lack of a tail. When I had questions about a possible summer cut, Sean educated me on the possible choices along with the +/-'s of each, which provided me with a base of information to let Yogi be her natural self. Everyone at TGL is sweet and thoughtful - they really do know dogs. The Team is busy because they are good. If you leave a message, or your pooch isn't done as soon as you think it should be, take a breath and be patient. This is a small business and one that takes pride in their work and truly cares about the animals in their care. They will get back to you, and they will get your puppy back to you. I would be more concerned if the bath or grooming appointment were a "check the box" operation, but Sean and the Team are treating Yogi and your pet family member according to the dogs' needs. Yog's spends more time at TGL on days following weeks spent in the doggie daycare pool or the Team is slammed with equally challenging clean up on aisle Tail Wag. This isn't a MickyD's-type assembly line operation. I am so happy that such a dedicated, knowledgeable, family business-team is so close to my neighborhood. Yogi loves going there (and she is not a bath-loving dog), I'm thrilled with how she looks AND how she is treated: and I get to support a local business. One of my favorite service providers: deservedly so.

We had such a wonderful experience with the Grooming Lodge. Our dog Walter was skunked last night and the staff at the Grooming Lodge were extremely helpful providing an overview of how they could help us, and made room in their schedule immediately that day to get him all cleaned up. Upon arrival, the team met us outside for a meet and greet, making us not only feel safe during COVID, but also reassured that he was in good hands. When we picked him up, the skunk smell was gone! We are so grateful to the Grooming Lodge and all who helped make Walter sparkling clean.

The owner Sean and staff are kind and friendly! My dog never seems stressed after a grooming session. We have been going here for 5 years and my dog has never received a bad cut. The one thing that stands out is that the facilities are clean and well kept even when they are working on numerous pets.

They groom our three dogs and do a terrific job. Not only do our dogs look, smell and feel clean and beautiful after the Grooming Lodge, but they also seem to be comfortable there...At groomers in the past, my dogs have seemed uneasy. The owner is incredibly nice and personable as well as professional. He is very knowledgeable and sensitive to our and our dog's needs. The facility is very clean as well.

They were once great but unfortunately they no longer have patience to work well with my senior dog. Contrary to the owner's response below, my dog was NOT matted. She had been bathed and thoroughly brushed two days before. I did the so that there would be no excuse for any close shaving activity. I even stated as such when I brought her in and also in two phone calls prior to the appointment. I had given her a quick rinse before delivering her to the groomer because she had an accident and did not want to bring in a dirty pet, but she was NOT matted. I was also very clear in stating that I DID NOT want her shaved bald, which is exactly what the groomers did - unnecessarily and for the second time. If they had questions, they should have called me. And yes, I did tip, but I did so before seeing the end result. I did express my displeasure with the shaving at that time. This establishment did great work for several years. Sadly, I can no longer recommend.

My dog fights me to trim his nails, so I started looking for a groomer near me. I’m pleased to tell you that I found exactly what I was looking for. I took my dog in & I was expecting him to shy away from the groomer. To my surprise he went so willingly with the tech that greeted us at the door. This tech was awesome! I’ve never found another groomer that I felt comfortable with. The Grooming Lodge gets a 5 star rating from me. I wish I could recall the groomers name cuz he was great.

We've recently moved to the area at the start of this crazy year. We were fortunate to find The Grooming Lodge early on after the move - it was great to find such a professional and friendly place for our boy Oakey Dokey to get his trims. They are great with him and he's not the most trusting fellow. He's looking great again now after his quarantine wolf dog look was fixed up the other day. Very happy with the service.

The Grooming Lodge in Arlington Heights is FANTASTIC!! My dog Henry looked BEAUTIFUL when I brought him home!! Sean is the owner who was so welcoming and he asked plenty of Questions to make sure I would be happy with my pups groom. The grommers were sweet and friendly and the dogs on their tables looked great!!! The shop smells fresh and looks well kept! I’m so glad I listened to my friends recommendation of this shop . The price is fair and my Henry came home happy and looking like a million bucks!! This will be my go to shop from now on!!

Friends of ours take their dogs (two mini golden doodles) to Sean for grooming and said he does a fantastic job. We have a medium doodle, Penny, that was in need of a grooming before the holidays. Our lovely friends surprised us and took Penny to see Sean this Tuesday. OMG he did the best grooming she’s ever had. The cut was perfect!!!! We couldn’t be happier with Sean. Penny liked him too!

It really was a nice touch to have a "meet and greet" ahead of time for our 15 year old Westie. They asked question about how we wanted his hair cut and what we felt his needs were. When they groomed him, they took their time giving Professor rests in-between from his various grooming sessions. Other places have rushed him thru, but The AH Grooming Lodge took so much extra care. I left them with a 30% tip because they went well beyond good service. Thank you!!!

The best grooming shop I’ve been to... the owner is so friendly and a talented groomer, and the whole staff is super nice and skilled groomers too!Saw someone bring their dog for a walk-in dremel nail trim while they were finishing with my pup (the waiting area even has live plants and a warm faux fireplace)... quick and reasonably priced.My dog had a really cute haircut. He looked and smelled so good and seemed very happy... & he is a picky boy!!!Bought him a cute toy as a reward at the register, nice that I didn’t have to make a whole other stop on the way home... I really like this place & me and my dog will be back.

The grooming lodge takes great care of my Rocky! Rocky loves seeing Sean and his staff. All I need to do is say Sean's name and Rocky spins with excitement. He always comes home smelling and looking great. I like his hair long and the Grooming Lodge keeps my boy looking the way I want. I feel very lucky to have Sean and the Grooming Lodge in my neighborhood! -Todd
