My dog Mac just graduated from Erik’s Canine Good Citizen class. We learned so much— Mac is a different dog than he was 6 weeks ago when we started! Additionally, I bonded with my dog in a way that benefitted both of us. Erik taught me how to get Mac to listen through eye contact and positive rewards. So grateful we found this class and Erik!

Their grooming spa was recommended to me after we had a horrible experience at another spa. Petco's groomers (especially Jess) have been amazing with my dog. I now started taking my puppy to her and she groomed her so cute. My dogs always come home so happy and content. Thank you Jess, you and your staff are amazing! Our grooming appointment was cancelled even though our dog was present within the 15 minute window. We were waiting outside of the busy grooming desk. The groomer was clearly overbooked. There seems to be a big turnover of groomers. I cancelled all of our Petco memberships.

Took my dog here with Jes for grooming and it was AMAZING!!! Jes is so nice and gave my labradoodle such an amazing haircut. Would highly recommend Jes for grooming!!

I was told I could not buy a hamster an hour before closing. When I came back the next day the hamster was gone and the employee I asked for help couldn’t be bothered to assist me with any other hamsters they had. I will not be coming back to this store. Thanks for ruining Christmas.

Went for a nail trim. While waiting in the room we were asked to leave so another dog could be picked up, instead of moving are dog to the grooming room. Then the groomer didn't even cut the nails because she said she couldn't because e of not being able to see the quick. Instead she did a quick Dremel and still charged us the maximum. Then we were charged for SUPPLIES which makes no sense. Then when I came home, I see I was also charged for a DONATION without my approval.

Everybody that works here is not only very knowledgeable about the animals & fish, but they’re actually enthusiastic when sharing knowledge on how to care for and maintain your pets. This is my main pet store from now on, prices are very fair, and I’m so happy with the fish I got! It’s the small things that add up that lead to a positive experience. 6/5 stars! I wish I would’ve gotten the names of everyone that worked at the times I made my purchases.

Typical retail space, nothing special. Paid too much for dog food, chose not to donate to homeless pets. The cashier announced loudly for everyone to hear, “thats a NO for donating to homeless pets”. Real professional. I hope Petco doesn’t train their staff this way.Went back today, much better experience. The staff member really knew the products and was happy to help.

well stocked selection, but customer service is a toss up. half the time the cashiers seem annoyed by my presence, other times they are friendly. my most recent visit there were three people at the cash register, all of which awkwardly stared at me as i walked up ready to check out, not a single one greeted me. i said hello to the cashier in a friendly manner, but instead of reciprocating, she just asked for my phone number and silently rang me up. my social anxiety just can't take this place 😂

I love to get my dog Lola to get groomed. Jes is her groomer, and she does an amazing every time with her. I am glad Jes is there because she is the only one willing so work with my cattle dog. The Petco in Schaumburg could not handle her, and according to Jes Lola is just fine :) we appreciate her!

I left the store feeling very uncomfortable today. I am a very frequent and loyal customer with multiple animals and have always gone to this location for my animal needs. I am very friendly when I come in and today while I was checking out i heard a very snarky comment from one of the female employees after I mentioned how I handle my animals. I am very disappointed. Thank you to everyone who has helped me this far.

Went to buy hay said on sale for 22$ which is still more than PetSmart it rang up 29$ I said it says it on sale for 22 she didn’t even go look said it must be a different bag! Went to PetSmart same bag 19$

John, the store manager at Petco is exceptional at his job. You can tell he truly cares about animals and has helped us dramatically with our fish problems that other fish specialty stores would/ could not help nor care to help with. From one pet lover, to another he is truly passionate about not just his job, but the animals as well. I went into the store today for grass for my guinea pigs and I ended up walking out with a bearded dragon and the whole set up for his enviroment. Natalie the store manager was a tremendous help! She was very knowledgable and even helped me set up with VITAL CARE through the Petco app and answered my questions once I got home with my new pet. I will be returning to this location for all my future needs thanks to Natalie.

Our 6 month old pup just graduated their puppy 1 positive training class. The trainer Erik was great. He reached out before the first day of training to let us know what we needed to bring to class and what to expect. Erik was easy to work with and very knowledgeable. Overall great experience!

Scheduled a vaccine appointment for our dog; the clinic called day of the appointment and said they had to cancel, not a big deal. We rescheduled for another day. This time they called about 30 min before the appointment to confirm which vaccines we needed, as we split them up, which was nice. Once we arrived and went in, they informed us that they actually didn't have any more vaccines, after literally calling to confirm the vaccines 30 min prior; no attempt to check and call us back before we drove 25 minutes to the clinic. In the future, just going to pay the little bit extra and stick to going to the vet. Not worth the trouble and unprofessionalism dealt with here.

We started going to this Petco when my dog was only 12 weeks old. He attended puppy socialization classes,as well as dog training classes with Erik an outstanding dog trainer. He is knowledgeable, consistent and easy to work with. He is great with my dog,as well as the other dogs. We took a break due to Covid restrictions,but are back now to have Erik help us have our dog appropriately greet people. He has made a positive impact on my dog who gets so excited when we he knows we are going to Petco. I tell all those that have a puppy or a dog who needs training to go to Erik at Petco,he makes a difference. The rest of staff is also great and very helpful!
