What an incredible spot! I purchased two stunning sun conures here. This establishment offers everything you could possibly need for your feathered friends. Their showroom is simply breathtaking, with numerous birds soaring freely. The selection of exotic birds is extensive, and they have a wide array of toys, perches, and food available. The staff is not only knowledgeable but also very friendly. Plus, their prices are quite reasonable, with some species even leaning towards the more affordable end. I absolutely adore this place and their birds!

THE STAFF HERE ARE AMAZING! Just happened upon the store while out with my daughter and decided to check it out. We were BLOWN AWAY with the number and variety of birds. Every time you think you have seen the most beautiful bird you have ever seen, there is an even more beautiful bird around the corner! The staff are SO knowledgeable and friendly, and you can tell they love their birds a lot. The store is super is super, super clean and tidy, which must be hard to do since the birds I have had loved throwing their food around and chew up everything.To the staff, thank you SO much for taking the time with my sister, daughter, and me. Visiting your store was the highlite of our evening, and will be a lasting memory for us.Well done, Parrot Stars, you are top notch!

I have been purchasing from PS online for a bout a year. When we were ready to add to our flock, they were the only place I knew to trust. I flew in from SC ( drove back home ) to meet the available birds. Maria was very patient as I chose the birds I felt perfect to join us at home. (a Sun Conure & Green Cheek ) I was there for the full day. She was also very informative and knowledgeable with any questions I had. All of the staff was very friendly and helpful during the whole process. They truly care about their birds and the homes the go to. It was a wonderful experience! I look to returning next year when we are ready to add a Golden Conure to our flock. Thank you too everyone at the Parrot Star family!

I drove from Wisconsin due to the videos and ratings this store had. I went down to look at an Amazon Parrot and fell in love with my now parrot, Priscilla!!!Alexis and Joyce spent hours with me explaining the needs and characteristics of the breed. Alexis showed me two parrots and I could have looked at more if I wanted to. Alexis and Joyce never pressured me to purchase Priscilla or any of the recommended accessories. In fact, they told me if I needed time to go home and think about it, I should!You can tell how much they and the staff at the store love and care about the birds. The birds are healthy and the store doesn’t smell that there are any birds in the building.The supplies and food options are out of this world here. This is a one stop shop!!!!I feel so lucky to have been able to purchase my Priscilla and have the opportunity to speak to Alexis and Joyce and absorb and hear the stories of their own birds and best practices.I already called and spoke to Joyce to ask questions. If you thinks these birds are like those of chain pet stores you will see the difference immediately. Thank you thank you thank you!!!

I went to Parrot Stars on Saturday, the place is amazingly clean. The staff was attentive and informative. They also were just very kind. The birds are clearly happy and well cared for! I absolutely loved my experience there. I have wanted a cockatoo for years, but I have never been around one so I went to just check them out. I was able to hold one and of course fell in love. Now is not the right time for me but the education I received and the experience will be unforgettable. Thank you!

If you'd like a bird, this is where to go (besides rescues!). Wonderful enrichment animal education focused staff, they even remembered me from 2 yrs ago, they care about the welfare of the birds there and even do local outreach and rescue. I feel incredible knowing I can support a business that doesn't treat their small birds as disposable. It's also a utopia of every kind of bird toy you could ever need, and so fun to see all the different parrots. Staff answered my questions for over an hour and were excited to be able to help. They make sure you know parrot care before allowing a bird to leave the store. 10 stars if I could!

I can't describe how great our experience was at parrot stars! I took a trip to their store with my children to see their store and meet their parrots. First off, they keep everything super clean. It doesn't feel like a pet store. It shows how much they really care for their birds in how they present them. We ended up purchasing a parrot when we were there. We have been completely blown away with the birds temperament and disposition! You can tell she has been very well cared for and loved. I can't recommend them enough. If you are looking to purchase a bird or have questions, no matter where you live in the country, you need to talk with them. Owning a parrot is a big commitment so it's worth the trip to make sure you make the right decision. A+++++ thank you all

We love Parrot Stars!!!Parrot Stars has been the very best experience ever for food, supplies, and now for the newest member of our family! My husband Frank and I have been caring for birds since the mid 70's when we were young kids. We have an elderly Quaker parrot Jack and a young conure Bella that are best buddies and share a cage. Bella was a rescue and we thought she would outlive Jack. Bella has recently been diagnosed as terminally ill. We do not know how long she has but we needed to introduce a new family member.Frank stopped by to check out conures and PS2949 kept coming to him. On 4/26 we welcomed Jasmine to our flock! She is in a separate cage and has been adapting to her new environment very well. Jack and Bella welcomed her and all three play and preen together when they are out.The entire experience at Parrot Stars has been exceptional. Never have we experienced this level of professionalism, expertise, knowledge, and compassion. The onboarding process for humans to be educated and trained prior to welcoming their new bird is thorough and unique. Potential disappointment, due to lack of understanding, is eliminated. Also, the health of the birds at Parrot Stars is taken very seriously. They do not take any chances and this is a win-win for all.

Wonderfully knowledgeable staff helps you pick the very best new feather friend. I love the going home presentation and they take the time to fully prepare you to bring the baby home. Honestly I wish any place that sells live animals should do this! The store itself is almost magical to step into! Seeing so many birds and every one looked beautifully cared for. Definitely worth a visit and to support!

My husband and I visited Parrot Stars in the Spring with the intention of purchasing our first bird. We did some research first and then we to the store. While we were there we looked around and ended up speaking to an older lady, I believe she is Alexis’ mom and she shared her knowledge with us about different species of parrots and her experience and asked us what we were looking for in a parrot. She spent a couple hours with us which was great. We did not end up purchasing that day because we wanted to make sure we were ready for a parrot. We came back the following week and purchased a Golden Conure and he’s been the best thing in the world. Gizmo is very happy, well mannered and very social. And that is because from the beginning he was raised with care and love. We spent probably 6 hours there the day we bought him (I can’t remember her name but she has darker hair and she’s usually got a treat pouch with her) going through everything with the staff and they answered all of our questions. Our experience was nothing short of awesome. Fast forward, like a crazy first time mom I sent Facebook messages asking questions and they answered them promptly. This last weekend they had their annual summer fest and were offering 15% off their entire website,there was a glitch and it only took off 10%, which I didn’t even pay attention to. Alexis called me Monday morning to let me know they are refunding me the additional 5% because of the glitch. Which I thought was so kind and good business. Parrot Stars is a great place to purchase your feathery friend from!

Was great to have a meeting room where you can have a little 1 on 1 time get acquainted. Not just picking out of a cage and going home like the pet store.

Both of my birds came from Parrot Stars as hand raised babies. So tame when we brought them home and very easy to train. Alexa and staff very knowledgeable and really do answer all the questions that you have. Great products in stock. Boarded with them also birds were well taken care of and loved also. The process of adopting a bird here is insane, then add the women who work here are Karen's so that makes it worse. When you want to adopt, they make you sit through like a 2 hour lecture reading crazy literature. They treat you like a little kid making you hear a whole book they came up with. You will just die of boredom listening to this lecture.They have a terrible ego like they are the world's top professionals on birds-wake up call-they are not. You can't even look at birds in the cages without being supervised and they watch your every move like you are up to no good. This place is overpriced on everything. When trying to adopt they make you buy everything for the bird or they won't let you take it home. Even if you have everything already this is apart of the adoption process. Avoid the Karen's, wasting money, time and go somewhere else.

Really fantastic store for both parrots and parrot supplies! All of the birds here are super healthy and the staff are really passionate and caring for them. The cages and toys all are really great quality too- will definitely be back to get some treats and toys for my lil guys!

It's a great experience. An aviary inmiddle of town. The staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. You can tell they enjoy their work by how they interact with the birds. Large selection of various types and sizes. A must visit if you are in town and enjoy the company of birds. You will be surrounded by all types.

I bought a one-year old beautiful hand raised cinnamon Pearl cockatiel remotely. When they were preparing her for shipping we found out their carrier no longer ships to my city. I was really bummed and thought I would need to cancel, but the staff went above and beyond and found a different carrier (one with way more paperwork and extra work and expense for parrot stars) and they made it happen! She was booked for the very next day! When she arrived, she seemed very comfortable and content in her carrying case- she was eating and grooming herself and curiously peeking out at me. The carrying case was also like a luxury suite- very well prepared with everything she needed from food to orange slices to foraging toys.Now that she’s been at her new home for a few days and settling in, I can tell I have a very well-adjusted content bird. She warmed up very fast and is not nervous or scared. Shes always curious, gives me kisses and likes to eat broccoli out of my hand. She’s clearly been well taken care of and properly socialized. I love her!

I've owned birds for over 20 years, purchased mostly from breeders or recues. Only Parrot Stars had a specific bird species I was looking for. I was a bit weary purchasing the bird before seeing her since at the time, I was 2,700 miles away in CA, but would be visiting IL two weeks later. Parrot Stars suggested a video call to meet the bird. I was really surprised that they did that. This made the decision clear, I knew I wanted the bird right away. They continued to take care of her, and she remained hands off to anyone who did not work there which was great to hear. The day I picked her up, they went over all of her care in great detail and made suggestions for her care in her new home, including her favorite foods, toys, etc. They have really customized a care package to take home just for her. I couldn’t be happier. She is the most sweetest and loveliest bird! I'm so happy that she is part of my family. I highly recommend Parrot Stars for all of your birding needs. Thank you for being the BEST bird store ever and doing a fantastic job raising these feathered gems. :)

Very friendly staff with an amazingly large collection of birds, including some rare ones. They will let you just browse, or help you make a selection. There's plenty to see here. They also have a wide selection to help you outfit a habitat for your new friend. They also stock plenty of food choices and will even mix you a custom blend for your bird's needs or preferences.

We love Parrot Stars! They really care about parrots and their conservation. Very helpful anytime I have a question about any of our birds. All their birds appear happy and well cared for, and we've never had health issues with birds we adopted our purchased from them. Plenty of cages, toys, accessories-- really anything you could need for your feathered friend. Fair warning: Parrots are LOUD! Anybody sensitive to noise should enter prepared for that.

Parrot Stars have very knowledgeable owners and staff. They vet the new owners and spend quite a bit of time explaining everything. They have a large variety of species, top of the line food and supplements, toys and supplies. They hand fed their young and give the upmost care. I drove 3.5 hours for all these reasons. Hands down the best in this State!

Parrot Stars is fabulous. After searching for a particular bird states away from me without much success, Joyce reached out to me about a baby they had. She spent countless hours with me on the phone and arranged for the appropriate cage to be shipped, toys, flight schedule as well as pictures and videos of my little baby. They are very thorough and comprehensive on the husbandry, paperwork and "go home" process. Joyce has made the entire experience seamless and top notch. Staff (old man that looks like larry david and wears a mask. And middle aged lady)treated myself and mother like we weren't going to purchase a bird. It inspired us to go to birdman's parrots in Niles and purchase a Sulphur-crested cockatoo. Absolutely no regrets dealing with birdman's parrots. Thanks for driving us to the right direction!

Excellent facility! Excellent care given to these wonderful birbs/peepers. Go take a look, but don't be in a hurry, these guys will be greeting you at every turn with a bunch of "hellos'!" If you need toys/supplies for your bird or are looking to adopt, this is the place! Closed on Mondays.
