Saturday March 3rd marks the worst experience I've ever had with Piggly Wiggly. Or should I say the worst experience with a cashier I've ever had. I came in and gathered about 60 $70 worth of groceries in my cart, brought them up to the Asian cashier, had my things just about rung up, when I told her I didn't have my pig card, she tried to look me up and couldn't find me. Then she suggested a holdover. I didn't know exactly what that was, but she told me we could hold on your groceries till you get your wallet. Well my wallet was at home with my pig card in it, I told her. Then she said well you can't have your groceries. I asked her what do you mean I can't have my groceries? she responded with, it's company policy. I then said can I just pay full price, I'll come in later and you guys could credit me? No she says and begins to grab my bags feverishly to put them in a shopping cart, as if I was going to snatch my bags and run without paying. I have never seen someone so blatantly rude and unprofessional in my whole adult life. This has been the absolute worst experience I've had, and this woman should be fired. Her incompetence cost me two hours of my day, not to mention the embarrassment, in trying to make me believe it was my fault. My head is still spinning in disbelief that this ever happened.

The last time I was there, a cashier, some other employees, and some customers, threatened me and several times before that. An employee at the Deli counter said that I need to be warned that I have to be forced out of Antioch because of how I look. I threatened to call the Police. Then the cashier at checkout said to me that I'm tired and someone wants to attack me. I don't have their names. I will never shop there again unless other stores don't have what I need.

Always go here to this because it’s locally owned. The store has a small town grocery store feel. I’ve had some really good steaks from there in the last few weeks too. Mark in the meat Dept has always been awesome.

We went to get steaks for our New Years Eve dinner. A lot of the meats were brown, gross brown. Not only were they old, the few they had that looked looked fresh had no marbling in the meat at all. Such a disappointment.

This store used to be my go-to for groceries; over the years they have become just another business hanging by a thread. Most of the staff is nice; you'll recognize the owner/manager by his rudeness and arrogance. Do not expect to get fresh hot items from the deli anymore, and make sure you check expiration dates before putting items in your basket.

I stopped shopping at the Jewel on 173 & Rt. 59. Prices are MUCH better, and the store is WAY cleaner than Jewel. If more than two people are waiting in line, they open another register right way.

I have to say whenever I go there all of the staff is very pleasant and helpful. They always ask and make sure you get your deals by using your card to save dollars.

Owner is a super nice guy. If everybody knew how much he donates to our little town...time, money, produce...you would never shop anywhere else. Employees are friendly and nice, easy no hassle hometown store. Meat is awesome, great sales, sells my kids favorite ice cream and Boars Head lunch meat...by far the best. If you never had the London Broil, Oven Gold Turkey or Tavern Ham from Boars Head at Piggly Wiggly in Antioch...its a must...deli pickles too. Check out the big meat sales...AWESOME! If you don't like the hassle of big box stores like me...this is your place for great deals and great food.

The checkout crew is always very considerate, efficient and friendly. Deli counter is efficient also. Produce is always fresh. Only complaint I have is that sometimes the meat section might have a funk in the air. Not sure how often they clean the meat section but I think they should pay more attention to it. Other than that the store is clean and we'll stocked for an older Pig.

I love the place including the managers the meat cutters and everyone else they're always helpful they will take you around the store if you can't find something and they don't have long checkout lines ever the deli is great and in my opinion it's cheaper than Walmart and better quality

Very bad disgusting produce...Salad & radish bag had been opened showed moldy leaves and radishes. Items that were not suppose to be refrigerated were and many items not properly stocked. Way overpriced groceries~ better off drive further to get reasonable prices and fresh groceries from anywhere else.

An excellent all-around grocery store in my opinion. Best meats around, Angus beef, top quality. Decent produce department as well and good beer and liquor prices. I'll be back over and over again. A great store overall.

It's a grocery store. They usually gave things that Jewel doesn't! Just remember to check dates, a lit I'd items ate out of date. Great employees too.

Definitely a great place to go shopping if you know what you need or just ran out of your staple items. While the selection may not be as large as the big grocery stores, it's definitely made up for with the sales! The deli has very tasty pasta salads for a good price too. On top of that, they offer prepared meals from meat loaf to sandwiches and wings for those days that youb don't want to or don't have time to cook.Final advice: always check the reduced dairy section and reduced bakery section for even more steals!

Very clean and well stocked shelves. Courteous employees helped me find what I was looking for. I would rather shop here than a big box store. Yes it is a little more expensive but worth it to not have to walk miles while shopping.

This place is really run down. The staff looks like they hate their jobs. Most of the shoppers looked unhappy with their lives. I couldn't wait to check out and leave. That being said, you can find random sales that are of good value. Found 10 pounds of chicken quarters for $5 today- not bad at all.

Not much going on here. Not much to say about the produce, meat or deli. The Piggly Wiggly in Lake Geneva is night and day from this location. Still open when so many in Illinois have closed. Must have something Jewel doesn't have.

The store is very neat and clean. The people that work there are super nice. I go there for their butcher shop. They have great deals on meat for the grill. They have great homemade brats and sausages.

I worked here 20 years ago and still come to shop the Pig when I am in town and need to pick up a few things because it’s convenient and has all the stuff.
