Store is convenient to get a few items instead of driving 1 hour to a bigger store. Aisles are at times crowded with cages of merchandise that need to be put away. With only a few employees this happens, but they are all helpful and can tell you where an item is, or if they carry it.They don't control shipments and always leave their task when you ring the bell to be checked out.Wouldn't buy cold case items here, too high in sodium for me & in a small store, limited selection. It may work for others, which is fine. Not the store's fault-dietary restrictions prevent me from buying these items.Like the selection of paper goods; toilet paper, towels, table napkins + specialty paper plates, napkins + plastic ware!Good local store and great staff! Good alternative to larger stores when time is a premium! Glad they are in town!

Salvation within a reasonable driving distance. Plus, this store had super-nice staff keeping things rolling and being very patient with our lack of decisiveness. Helped keep our camping trip fun, for sure!

Newer store. Kept very clean and organized. The manager is a gem. She is very helpful and will also jump right on the register when needed. All the employees are happy and helpful so kudos to the manager. I wish I knew her name because she deserves the recognition. And probably a raise!

This is one of the better Dollar General stores I have been to, especially in the area. Very nice to have q place to get groceries or last minute gifts, instead of driving 15-20 minutes to the next town over. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. The shelves are organized and usually very full.

Route 52 just north of Joe drive buy 1/4 Mile on the east side of the road is the Dollar General store for Amboy! There is plenty of parking handicap parking at the door. This store comes with everything just about, groceries, some clothing items household goods you could very easily spend two hours inside walking around. The staff is extremely friendly and very helpfuland and wanted to take you to any item that you asked for in the store 😉.On the Richter scale I give them an easy 8.

Not that many good deals. Staff is nice. I bought some Christmas paper. Blanket/throws there are way overpriced!

You name it they got it. Food staples, housewares to hardware cooking and cleaning supplies. I needed dog food and treats and greeting cards as well as distilled water.
