Every couple of months I take my (2) full grown Great Pyrenees to PETCO in Alton, Illinois for an extensive "spa day." They get washed, trimmed, and any number of other treatments to keep them clean, healthy and to control the shedding. I've never had less than fantastic service and the staff truly seem to look forward to seeing my dogs. You can't fake the kind of enthusiasm that I'm always greeted with. I highly recommend the good people at PETCO in Alton!

I’m from Aloha, Oregon and new to the area (been here for a month). I had an awesome groomer back home, but being new to the area I didn’t know where to start? I looked up groomers around the Alton/Godfrey area and decided to go with Petco here in Alton after carefully reviewing customers experiences and reviews. I could not be happier!!! This is my favorite store because of the people and the awesome savings. Sign up for vital care if you have a pet and make a few trips out of the week here. It truly will save you money. The staff is awesome, they educate me about my pets and help me make the best decisions for their care. I even got a chance to donate some fish back to them and it went toward charity. That made me feel great and it made them happy too. You can easily find this location it's in a strip with other stores and they are wheelchair accessible.

The people working are always so good to my dogs! I usually get the mini make-rover, a walk-in nail grind and paw balm treatment. They are great!

Always a great experience when we bring our dogs here to get their nails trimmed and buffed! We have a ninety pound boxer pitbull who won't let us touch his nails but these guys have the magic touch apparently cause he don't even fuss with them lol! Thank you Petco groomers

Brianna did an amazing shave on Finneas a 15 month old Goldendoodle (75lbs). His current groomer would never shave his under carriage or trim his tail or grind his nails. Same price I pay at Petco but less service. I promised the breeder not to neuter him until 12 months for good strong bones. He goes next week to neuter, I am sure the Vet will love Finn is clean shaved in his private area. Thank you so much I hope the $30 tip reflects how excellent your grooming skills are.

Minus 1 star for appt. booking fiasco with hold message on phone saying to use online booking! Which is not available at Alton IL store and they call back in a couple of days to do booking! Great with pet/grooming.

Our groomer Ashlynn was awesome. It was our pups first time and he is a bit to handle she handled him like a champ and was super nice and helpful when meeting ours and his needs! We will be returning monthly! Also the pet rewards are awesome!

Ashlynn always does a great job with my dog. I've been taking the dog to get groomed with her since my dog was a puppy and she always comes home looking great and loves seeing Ashlynn.

I came in with both of my dogs by myself and everyone in the salon was ready when I came to the door. My pups smelled so good when I picked them up and the stylists gave them all the loves. Matthew even helped me get them in the car-- great service!

The groomers at the Alton Petco always greet my dog by name and do their best to make her feel at ease. They are extremely patient and kind with her and with me. No matter how busy they are, the groomers will answer any questions. I always feel that they have the welfare of all of the animals in their care as their utmost priority.

I was very pleased with the cut they gave my cat. She looks so much better. They even gave me lotion to put on her dry patches. I get a catfood that is the best I could get for my cat with digestive issues. They love it.

It was a Sunday mid afternoon and our first time there. We both ordered steaks from the menu. The meal was to include soup or salad, a potato and bread. We were never served waters and the bread never came. I was a bit put off by the large square of paper used over the table cloth covering the whole table. It wasn't worth the money we paid for the lesser dinner. WE WERE NOT impressed.

As always, Desiree was AMAZING with my German Shepherd!! Sheba is not an easy one to work with due to separation anxiety issues. Desiree has always been great with her. My Princess, a Yorkie mix, was also groomed and she is adorable with her new haircut.

The staff was very friendly, my dogs were comfortable and they looked fantastic when I picked them up. They listened when I asked about problems when I had gotten their nails cut in the past and they offered a great solution. Highly recommend

My dog desperately needed a nail trim. I was told to bring Rabies shot records and forgot. The person on the phone confirmed his vaccinations with his vet. He was treated to a wonderful nail trip by Dez and I am so happy

Murphy has arthritis and I find it very difficult to do everything you do. He was shedding terribly before I brought him in, even with daily brushing. Now he is so sleek and soft that I love petting him, and I know he feels better in this summer heat.

My girl is very hard to deal with getting her nails done. Both girls working did a awesome job with her as well as the young man previously. I will be bringing her back for a full grooming.
