Ashanti was working drive through Saturday April 20th. It was very busy but she patiently took the time to give me details about new menu items. Ashanti was knowledgeable, polite and efficient. The food was good and we enjoyed our visit very much!

We order Panera/delivery about twice a month. There has never been anything wrong with the food, not sure how there can be one star reviews. Yesterday my wife had a fav of hers, the pick 2 white mac and cheese and a Greek salad, great as always. I tried the tuna salad sandwich and it was amazing. Why $11.79? It's HUGE (had half for dinner and half for lunch today) and high quality. This isn't fast food. I always get the French onion soup, it's the best I've had. If we have breakfast, we always get the cinnamon crunch bagels with the walnut cream cheese tub. Yum!

I got a pumpkin muffin. They are always so moist (hate that word), and they really do a great job getting them cooked to perfection. The bagel is a cinnamon crunch bagel, and the cream cheese is plain. I must say that the cream cheese cost well over the price of the bagel, but I always get it because I don't want to wait to get home to have a few bites. The sandwich is the grilled Mac and cheese sandwich. The chips come as an automatic side option; you can get a piece of a baguette or a pickle instead. My partner likes this sandwich, although it is filled with carbs. He has nothing to worry about in the department, though. If you get this, be prepared to take half home; it is a lot for anyone to handle. He also loves the Smokehouse BBQ Chicken sandwich. He gets it with just meat cheese and sauce. The crispy fried onions are not something everyone would enjoy, so I recommend getting them on the side

I come here often because I have a sip club membership. The cost efficiency on that has been awesome and it's quick and easy to grab what I'm getting each day. The employees are always friendly and the inside is always clean.

I swore I wouldn't return to Panera, but I received a gift card. I thought that maybe, just maybe, it wouldn't taste like microwaved hospital food at 20 bucks a person? Nope...First- the grilled cheese. It was cheese placed on white bread and then microwaved. No grill marks. WHAT?! (This microwaved cheese bread was about $8. I think most people know grilled cheese is not just bread and cheese placed in a microwave.)The bagel was burned on 90% ot its surface. I received the incorrect soup and half was spilled in my bag and it seeped into the baguette. Which would be fine, but I abhor tomato soup.Oh, Panera! Why do I always come back and you always disappoint? For future customers, please know that grilled cheese is actually grilled and toasted bagels are toasted and not charred.

When people think of restaurants they would describe their favorite, like with quality food and drinks, feeds your cravings, reliable service, and more. Panera Bread is my favorite restaurant for these reasons and even more. Panera Bread is an Italian restaurant located in Alton, IL. It serves breakfast from 6:00-10:30, and lunch from 10:30-9:00 pm. They focus on Italian food which specializes in pizza, subs, pasta, more. The reason I tried Panera Bread in the beginning was because my mom loves their coffee and requested that I try it. It took a long time for me to allow her to take me there. After living in Calhoun since I was 3, restaurants started to get tiring so we decided to try new ones around Jerseyville & Alton. I am qualified to write a review because I try different restaurants every Friday. This is how I ended up trying out Panera Bread in Alton, IL.As you can see I have many reasons. I would like to recommend Panera Bread for your next restaurant you try out. The first reason I would recommend Panera is because of their unique salads and subs. I have tried almost everything on their menu, but my over favorite is their southwest salad. The southwest salad is a salad dressed in a really good southwest dressing, with corn chips, and more. The second reason I recommend this restaurant is their seating. They have many options, they have booths, tables, and other little couches with tables to sit on. The restaurant is new, and smells really good. These are the main reasons why I would recommend Panera Bread Co.In conclusion, I will now discuss who I recommend this restaurant to. I would recommend Panera Bread to people who like pasta, subs, salads, and more italian food. I would also recommend this restaurant to someone who loves to sit in booths. I would recommend Panera to this type of person because they have a lot of Italian food, and many seating options. So, find a few friends, set a date, and go eat at Panera Bread Co. In Alton, IL.

The St. Louis Bread Co. in Alton, IL is nice chain restaurant serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It's location on the corner in a strip shopping shopping center is easy to access and there's ample parking.Upon entering, there's a pleasant display of foods (a lot of pastries!) at and near the order counter. You order at the counter and, at least during our breakfast visit, the food and coffee cups were placed on a tray and away you go to find a table. The coffee is opposite the order counter and is self-serve.My Mother and Sister enjoyed their cherry danish and cinnamon roll respectively. I had a spinach and artichoke soufflé which was quite good.A number of tables needed cleaned/wiped down including the one we sat at. We took care of that ourselves. We also adjusted the blinds as the sun was glaring through. After that, we had a pleasant, though pricey for what it was, experienceThey also have outdoor seating. The St. Louis Bread Co. is part of the Panera chain.

I ordered a half Southwest Chile lime salad and was disappointed. This was supposed to be a premium salad but had way to many of these gross white chunks. I would expect this at an all you can eat salad bar or a McDonald's salad. But I paid 7 bucks for this salad and I expected better value from Saint Louis bread Co. I did like the rest of the salad which had a generous piece of avocado. Though a olive was included in my salad which does not belong and just shows whoever made it was being sloppy. Maybe the Alton St Louis Branch could use some more training.

You got 2 stars because your food is delicious! But what I witnessed today was appalling. A deaf person came in and placed 2 orders at the same time to go. One order came out, the other never did the entire time I was waiting. She tried over and over again to explain this to several workers. The woman manager told this lady to stop yelling at her staff (which she wasn't doing; she was speaking loudly because she is deaf) and told her that she could leave. She proceeded to refund the one order that was ready and getting old. She tried to give the customer her money back for one order. The customer didn't want a refund, she was a delivery service person who had placed 2 orders for door dash. This manager didn't stop and listen to the customer. She was frazzled from being short-handed and did not handle the situation correctly at all. It was terrible.

I hope a manager sees this! Yesterday I was in the drive thru with my brother and we were picking up super charged lemonades. At the window, we got a text from our family saying to pick up two more. The guy at the window added them on with a smile. As he was handing us our lemonades, our car completely died in line. Without question, this guy immediately came outside and helped us push our car over to a parking spot and out of the way. I never got his name, but he was working the window at about 10am on May 27th and the guy deserves some kind of recognition. We would’ve been really screwed without his help. If you’re reading this, thanks man!

I am so glad this Panera location is still referred to as a, St. Louis Bread. I know it's just a name, but Bread Co rolls off the tongue so much easier then, Panera. This use to be my morning stop when I was working. Now that I am retired, I don't get here as often, but they still remember my name when I enter the restaurant and that is good customer service. It makes me feel like, Norm on Cheers.Of course, I enjoy their bagels. The Everything is my favorite. Pastry wise, I am totally in love with the, Orange Scone. OMG, it is so good. If you want a delicious cookie, I'd tell you to try the, Kitchen Sink. The calories are high, but the flavor will satisfy your sweet tooth. When you're lazy and don't want to make dinner, the salads or a pick-two here will make your life easier. If the Strawberry Poppyseed Salad with Chicken is in season, it is a must order. The Southwest Caesar Salad with Chicken is another winner. The Pick Two, you create your own dual of deliciousness, so you can't go wrong. This St Louis Bread is a winner so when you are in Alton, be sure to check it out.

Went to get 2 bagels. They were sold out of chive and onion cream cheese, not heir fault. I ordered my bagels sliced and lightly toasted and I received them BURNT AND NO KNIVES to use the cream cheese spread. Just not a good day. When you have somewhere to be and you don’t have time to go back. So my $6 was a waste of money bc neither of the items I received did I want.

Yesterday I ordered a grilled cheese sandwich and cheddar broccoli soup. Soup was fine, but the grilled cheese was a joke. I only ate it because I was already home and it was late. Looked like they just made a cheese sandwich and microwaved it or put in an oven for 30 seconds. Bread was soft and still white. For a $5 cheese sandwich it could at least have been warm, if not actually made properly. Next time I'll make it myself.

This location has terrible service. After speaking with Corporate they did call the store, & gave a refund. It wasn’t a mistake the overall demeanor of the staff has a “don’t care” attitude. This has shown me more than ever, support local, & avoid the chains.Edit; tried again 4/4/23 & order was missing 1 sandwich I paid for. Spoke with Lance manager, & he offered a gift card. I’m not interested in a free sandwich, more so you all do better as a location.

Really enjoy their food. Personally I really like the avocado bacon Turkey sandwich with a cup of cheesy broccoli soup and the prickly pear tea. Always fresh and delicious. Always! Never had an issue with the food nor service. Top notch. Price? A tad stiff however we are getting fresh good food so I look the other way while paying. Lol. Hope you enjoy as much as I/we do.

Dasher Drift

Not a simple pickup. Location will not allow Dashers to use Drive-Thru, and has the Delivery Pickup behind the counter in the kitchen instead. The workers I see in aprons are incredibly nice, though clearly overworked by the managers.I do not appreciate the managers slinking around behind employees to avoid helping Dashers. I do appreciate the employees who are working to cover the managers and shift leads.Parking: Plaza parking as well as 3 Rapid Pickup spotsWheelchair accessibility: Curbcut offers access to the building. Doors are heavy push/pull doors that are difficult to open

This is the 6th time in the course of the last year that I come here before it’s even 6 o’clock and they are out of bread bowls. I absolutely love bread co but haven’t been able to enjoy it in over a year because every single time I come they are out. It’s ridiculous that they don’t make enough to get through a dinner rush on a Friday night before dinner rush even starts.

It is very frustrating to pay the prices we pay for a salad and have brown lettuce. Unacceptable.
