Complete opposite experience of going to the Home Depot across the street. Pleasant employees that greeted me and asked if I needed help with anything, accommodating checkout lines(with apple pay). Heck, even the layout made more sense as to the location of items. Great stuff. Britt Wonders was absolutely wonderful in helping me find what I needed. Thank you so much, guys. đ

We were there for garden tools and other supplies on that particular day.Saw a bunch of things I might spend money on but shouldn't đ€Ł just like I always do.It was a tad early for spring planting season, but they actually had more plants and shrubs in stock than I figured they would.Everyone is always helpful and friendly at this location, and the selection is great, regardless of when I go.

I recently used Lowe's home improvement pickup service and unfortunately, it was not a great experience. The service was slow and disorganized, and the staff seemed overwhelmed and unprepared. The wait times were longer than expected and there was a lack of communication about the status of my order. Overall, I was disappointed with the pickup service at Lowe's. While the store itself has a good selection of products, the pickup service needs improvement. I would rate my experience a 2.5 out of 5 stars.

The Seventy Day Storm Door:On or about February 6, 2024, I went to a Loweâs location in Alton Illinois, the closest one to me, and attempted to purchase a storm door. I had removed the existing one from my house due to damage a couple of years before, and finally got around to replacing it. I was told that despite bringing photos and measurements, a qualified person would have to come out and measure my door opening in order to verify what sizes of door would fit. I was told that 2 to 3 business days after the measurement was complete, somebody at the store would reach out and tell me that the numbers were in. At that point, I could come in and pick out the door I wanted. So, I decided to proceed with this. The next day, Feb 7, 2024, I received a text informing me that the first available appointment for measurement was February 29th. The company was called Install Partners, and they are the authorized service provider for Loweâs.I should have stopped right there, but I persevered.I waited, and the person who took measurements arrived at the appointed time. That went fine. But, I never heard from Loweâs. Finally, around March 20th, I went to the store itself to see what was going on. The associate who helped me said that the numbers were in, and he wasnât sure what happened. I had no unlistened voicemails or missed texts, and I try to pick up all local calls.Anyway, I picked out a storm door and handle, and paid for everything, including installation. On March 22, I got a text from Install Partners that proposed an April 18th installation date for the door. Replying that I would prefer an earlier date, an appointment was scheduled for April 3 between 10:00am-12:00am Much more reasonable! I even got a text the day before reminding me of the appointment. I took April 3rd off work, and waitedâŠ.At 11:11am, with no warning, call, text, cancellation notice⊠I got a text that read (in summation) âWe would like to schedule your appointment for April 18th, between 10:30am-12:30pmâ. I attempted to get an earlier date, but no, nothing was available. There was no weather-related issue or other problem that I could discern, and Iâd taken a whole day off work for nothing.I reached out to Install Partners, and left two messages with the local scheduling supervisor who I found through their phone tree, but never received a call back. I reached out to Loweâs, who claimed that there was a weather issue that prevented the installation, but there was nothing going on at that time, or before it, in my area, and the rescheduling of the appointment to the original day proposed back on March 20th rang as quite suspicious. I expressed my concern to Loweâs customer service, but there was nothing they could do. I also tried to reach out to the CEO and other staff members via email, but all emails either bounced back or went unanswered.So, initially, it looked like there was no way for me to get the 18th off, and I left a note that it was fine to install the door when I'm not there, and I have a two way doorbell camera to communicate. Thankfully, I was able to convince my employer to give me another day off work. I didnât get a text the day before confirming the appointment, which set me on edge. but I did get a text saying that the installer was on their way 10 minutes before the stated installation window.Much to my amazement, they showed up!I have nothing but praise for the team who actually DID the install-they were nice, professional, courteous, and kind. They arrived on time, did an excellent job, and were well mannered. I couldnât ask for more.The entire problem with this situation lies with Loweâs and Install Partners' scheduling and/or staffing, who have built a system where it takes SEVENTY DAYS and two of my own days off work to get a storm door installed. Itâs time Iâll never get back, and a great amount of frustration for something that should have been a metaphorical breeze.In summation, don't buy installation services from Lowe's. Ever.

Loved this place my wife and I ame in to get a washer and dryer. No one was at the counter and we buzzed for help someone came right away assisted us very professionally and promptly great staff everyone was friendly and the cashier gave our daughter a sucker on the way out.

Clean store with everything i needed for my home project. I like that they keep remnants of wood and carpet as well as small cuts of drywall for patching repair. Knowledgeable workers were happy to help us find what we needed

I had doors special ordered in Oct. 2023. i was told the would be here in December and they were. However Install Partners couldn't come until April 3, 2024. Now today they reschedule me without an explanation. A nightmare home improvement. Will never use or recommend Lowe's again.

This Lowe's location in Alton, IL is typical for this home improvement oriented chain. It is located on the Homer Adams Parkway which is a business corridor filled with hotels, restaurants, a mall, grocery stores, and various retail stores.Easy to find and with plenty of parking makes this Lowe's a breeze to get in and out of.The lay out will be familiar to anyone who has ever stepped into a Lowe's. Plants and Garden supplies on one end, lumber on the other, and everything else in between.The store is bright, organized, and well stocked. There are many employees "on the floor" to help you find what you need. Every single time I have asked for help, the are courteous and have went out of their way to make sure my items are found and questions answered.I prefer this Lowe's to the nearby Home Depot. I feel the overall experience, quality of items, and feel of the place is superior.My only gripe is that occasionally there's not enough check out stations open.Rest assured, when visiting this Lowe's you'll experience the company standard.

The shower pan arrived 2 days earlier than expected, I was helped with the large box to my truck.Also bought qt paint, drywall screws, cabinet door handle and Phillips screw driver. Very courteous staff in each aisle or deparent.

I hope you never need to call this store. You will sit in a never ending hell of listening to ringing phones for about 45 minutes. It might be way way longer, but that was as much time as I could give them.

This is where I go for cheap plants. You have to know where to look for them. If you go to the back of the plant section that is where they clearance out there plants. Now some are beyond help but others are really nice. The ones that I am going to post I got for half off the clearance price so the most I paid for any one plant was $1.50. A couple of them were $24.97 regularly priced plants. I usually try to go out there every couple of weeks if I can because they are always clearancing different kinds plants. So if you are a plant person I would check out this section of Lowe's. These are the ones I got last week.

Recently purchased a new washer and dryer from Lowes, and had the most ridiculous delivery and installation experience. Really I should say lack of installation and hardly a delivery.They showed up with the washer and dryer, and looked for as many excuses possible to not deliver the products into the right place in my house and to not install them.(For context the washer and dryer hook ups are in the basement in a finished room with a door that leads to the room that is 29â wide and the washer and dryer are 28â wide. We just bought this house and it is perfectly up to code.There was already a washer and dryer in the room, and were previously hooked up and working).The excuses included:âWe donât touch copper pipesââWe canât install a dryer to a vent if the line goes upââThis doorway is too smallââWhy would you want the washer put downstairs? We canât install it anywaysââThe bar in the basement is in the way, it wonât fitââThe dryer vent isnât up to codeââThe dryer makes a lot of heat and it could just go kaboom one dayâAfter I convinced them to at least put the washer and dryer in my basement, since they wouldnât put it in the correct room, and they wouldnât install it, I caught them attempting to drop the washer off in the garage and had to tell them again to put it in the basement.I called customer service and asked about the cost of the included âfree delivery and installationâWhich is not actually free, itâs an 80 dollar charge according to customer service.Asked for a refund since they did not manage to do any of the above mentioned tasks, was told the supervisor would have to get into contact with me.I then proceeded to get a dolly and load the appliances into the room and install them myself with no issues at all.Supervisor never called, huge surprise there. I called again 2 days later and explained the situation, this lady was very nice but I could tell was new and reading from a script, basically told me there is nothing they could do.Never rely on lowes to install anything for you like this. I had a newborn at home and my wife was post surgery so I thought it would be nice to have someone else take care of it. Couldnât have been a bigger inconvenience due to straight negligence and lethargy from incompetent staff members paired with a lack of caring from the customer service team since their hands are tied and they outsourced the delivery and install.I will push my experience to everyone I know because nobody else needs to deal with such a bad experience. Home Depot and other companies will have my business here forward.

There workers dont practice good saftey percautions guys were unloading a shelf with a load of plywood and didnt have isle next to it blocked off. My wife and daugher were in next isle and unaware of what was going on untill we heard equipment and saw gondola was shaking violently we got out of that isle as fast as we could and alerted a worker that told managment.

We ordered a 12 x 16 shed installed in our backyard in November. Ordering and customizing went well. Set up was scheduled for end if December. OK. I was a bit surprising they could do it that time if year, but ww were encouraged. We were called a few weeks later and told they were WAY overbooked and would see us in March. Still good, we were kept informed and things are crazy with shipping and employment issues. Come 10:30 that March day, still no shed kit or workers. When we called, we were told by the company doing the install it had been rescheduled for the next week. This time no noticed . After a few calls going up the chain of command, we finally reached simeone who had the authority to do something. Two weeks later a shed kit and crew of 2 arrived at our house. The shed is now assembled except for the roof and painting. If lowes had sent the blue shingles we ordered not a not so pretty brown. The roof would be done. However, the correct shingles should be delivered tomorrow and installed Saturday and paint if weather permits. It was a long process with some snags along the way, but it is a nice quality and was well built.

I want to tell you a little bit about associate Rachael and associate Chris these two went above and beyond the call of duty for me at my recent shopping I wanted to make sure I let you guys know about them. It was one minute to closing maybe even store shouldâve been closed one minute. Somehow I talked my way into the store to get a plumbing part that was an emergency fix to get my water back on. Needless to say I was in an out in just a couple minutes and these two deserve high-fives and recognition for going above and beyond the call of duty on my recent visit ! This was at Alton location on Homer Adams Parkway, Illinois keep up the good work!

I was in Flooring alone for an hour trying to match up tiles. My wife went to find someone to help. Finally someone from a different department came and told me the tiles I'm trying to find are special order only. Why were these not labeled before I wasted my time? Ordering them is not an option since the 3 samples provided are different shades yet marked the same. Do better Lowes. You missed $1000 sale.

Just left the Lowes in Alton. I did not get her name but she was at self checkout talking to another employee in a wheelchair. She would not listen to what we were trying to tell her about the additional 50% off sign in the clearance section. We were only purchasing a sanding block. Instead of calling a manager she walked over to the other employee and said something then walked back past us mumbling something. I only heard her say customers out of her mumbling. At that point my husband said forgot it I don't want it and we left. Some of the worst customer service I have ever had!!!!!

Employees at this location are nice and friendly. I went there to pick up an online order. At first they couldn't find it, then took them a long time to get someone to bring it up front.But once all that happened they did help me out to car and helped to load it.This location also is big supporters of letting boy scouts and girl scouts sell outside their store.

They are the place to go for large or small projects. Also look for deals on their isle. They mark down prices alot. I got this storage bag for 7.97 and it was 19.97 on 10/13. Love my local Lowes.

I can never get help here when I need it. I went here to see about buying some tile to redo my bathroom. I stood in the area for about 25 minutes, weighting my options, and no one ever came over and spoke to me, though several associates passed me. I ended up going across the street to Home Depot, because those guys won't leave me alone for a moment. It's like feast or famine with customer service. Also, whenever I finally checked out at Lowes, the cashier didn't ask me if I had found what I was looking for or anything. They acted exasperated at having to ring me out for my lightbulbs and Fabuloso. Unfortunately, I had bought my Washer and Dryer from them previously, and recently had to go through their Care Service. Their care service is honestly the only thing giving them 3 stars, because they went above and beyond to help me even though I had lost my receipt, and they helped me recover it. I now have an appointment scheduled to fix my washer and I'm happy with my service. Kind of a redemption for Lowes in my eyes.

Ordered 53 stone veneers on the website for pickup. When I arrived, only 21 were available. When my contractor checked them, quite a few broken. They are packaged in clear plastic to view. Two staff at customer service couldnât even subtract 53-21 for my receipt. Unbelievable. Unhappy customer. Wouldnât recommend them for a big job. Not enough competent staff.

Bad experience. No checkers,wanted you to self check out. Not doing that. You pay someone to watch people check so you may as well put them behind a register. Ended up not purchasing anything and so went to farm and home and spent less money on the items I needed. Have never had problems here before but if this is how you are going to operate I won't be back.
