I went into It’s Raining Zen today and it is a most delightful shop to get beautiful crystals and everything under the sun pertaining to the metaphysical and supernatural realm.The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable.I met and spoke with the general manager, Laura.She was very knowledgeable and definitely is an asset to this business.Her beautiful and powerful light from within, shines brightly making her patrons feel at ease and right at home.I highly recommend this shop. It’s a great place for seeking connection and information about all thing’s spiritual, metaphysical, and supernatural.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I am so thankful my friend suggested we take the hour drive to check this store out! When you walk in between the way the space is set up and the positive energy you feel, you know you are in the right place to find things to help elevate you. The shop is nestle in a quaint, old fashion, main street area. Each interaction with the different staff members was a positive one and I would imagine that working there has to be a fun environment because otherwise their attitudes could have been different, (like you see at other stores) I had a few questions about some of the items and I was appreciative of the patience the workers had because I am sure I wasn't the first one to ask multiple questions, so I was shocked when I learned one of the people I had been "bothering" was an owner. All of the items they were selling had great quality and I was happily amazed by the fantastic prices on things. I can't wait to go back for another visit. If you are looking for anything metaphysical, this is the place to go.

One of the coolest places you could step foot inside. So much to see, vivid colors everywhere, amazing architecture, cool doors, gifts, clothing, teas & coffees, incense, spirit world necessities and so much more, also check out the curiosity museum. Awesome place! My wife and I totally enjoyed our visit and shirt tour pointing out some of the architecture. Thanks Dave for a very fun and informative time. Similar to other folks’ experience…we also felt like we were being followed by the staff. We had a nice basket of stuff and I had picked up a nice statue to purchase as well. When I made my way to the counter I saw a picture of someone in a jumpsuit taped to the checkout counter. It mentioned this person by a name and a location essentially threatening them and anyone else who steals. I didn’t buy (or steal for that matter) anything. I just put my stuff back and left. And then bought the statue on Etsy when I got home.

I absolutely love this store. I was not at all expecting to find a place like this in Alton, but I'm so glad I did.The place is bursting full of things. There's dozens of types of crystals, incense, books, tarot cards. There's jewelry and worry stones and pendants. There's tote bags and wall hangs and statues and pyramids. If you need something hippie or metaphysical, this place probably has you covered.We ended up going twice in two days, because we had something else to get to the first day and ran out of time to properly explore the place.The staff was super helpful and funny as hell. Shout out to the guy who recognized the Loki runes on my pendant and showed me his Loki tattoo. He was there both days we went, and was super nice.I hope I get a chance to come back, and I highly recommend poking around. Even if you don't think you need something.... You probably do.

The selection here truly rivals most other metaphysical stores in the Midwest! We are blessed to have a store like Raining Zen, not just for their amazing, well-curated selection of products, but for the knowledgeable staff and dedication and hard work that goes into creating an environment like the one here. Sales associates here always help me with my questions no matter what, and I know I’m not being steered in some direction just to buy something. After several visits I was thrilled to meet the store’s owner, who was so lovely, helpful, kind and vibrant! I’m just in love with this shop and all the kind people who make it happen.

If you are looking for the most magical shop in all of the Midwest, you need to check out it’s raining zen! Donna and Dave are simply amazing and I have been coming since 2018 and have never had such amazing experiences in a crystal shop. Each member of their team makes you feel welcomed and appreciated. I hope the psychic festivals will be coming back soon. ✨✨✨

Me and wife went into this store today and when we walked into the store we were greeted very nice. The store is separated into three rooms. As my wife was still looking at things in the front room I ventured into the second and as I did an employee followed me in. She did not say a word or anything she just kept watching me. My wife walks into the second room and we went to check out the third room as the employee followed us in there as well. She followed us through the whole store made me my wife feel so uncomfortable that the few items that my wife wanted I didn't even want to purchase because of how they were acting. I totally understand that people steal things and the way the store is set up it be very easy to take things but a $99 Amazon camera can watch your rooms while you're sitting at the front desk. I would never ever go to this store again.

It’s always a good time at Zen! I come here for my incense, crystals, and cards.The staff is always so friendly and attentive. They are knowledgeable about the stock and have many recommendations! Today as I was checking out the cashier complimented me on my shirt. He was super bubbly and had a lovely personality!They continually cycle in new products but somehow always still have my favorites!I’ve purchased many things from them over the years and I’m definitely going to continue to!

Stopped in for the first time today after hearing about it from friends a few times. Was blown away by the selection of herbs, books, tarot cards, stones and crystals. There was a lot of other things to look at as well—I can definitely tell I’ll be stopping in here when it’s time to restock my incense haha. I love that its woman owned and the ladies there were so helpful and friendly, and didn’t judge me for taking forever to mosey through their shop and look at everything. My heart landed on a beautiful Blue Apatite tower that had to come home with me. Immediately one of my favorite metaphysical shops around and I’ll be back; hopefully with friends!

The stones & artwork are fabulous and staff takes great pride in being able to explain their meaning and significance. Definitely stop there whenever im in the area....don't know what you're looking for, don't worry they'll guide you...I finally found my magic wand and she's beautiful

Super cool place, i love the store with their crystals and metaphysical stuff and Dave was a great tour guide and he is super charismatic and gives a full layout of the history everywhere in the building, and he gives a great immersive experience overall. I loved everything and would highly recommend it to anyone!

I have been into the store a couple times and have never really felt like I belong. The staff was rude to me when I was asking questions about different rocks and very upset with me when I didn't know what they were used for and that I kept touching them. I've been trying to gain more knowledge about everything they have but now I will be taking my business else where. I have also seen that the managers don't treat there employee very well, by sitting back and making other do all the work rather than a group effort. Very sad to see with a small business.

This used to be such an amazing place to shop but not so much anymore. The employees are hyper paranoid about theft so you can view items in a case but if you would like to get a decent look a what you’re buying before you buy they are hovering over you and it’s incredibly uncomfortable. They also take the items you are going to purchase from you and sit them behind the counter often forgetting to give them back to you when you checkout. They view every customer as a potential shoplifter even regular customers like myself. I am currently looking for a different place to shop because I spend way too much with them to be treated this way when I’ve done nothing but been kind and loyal to them and their business. Such a shame.

I have stopped in the shop many times just looking around after work. I thought I would get a casual reading and a cool experience! However I was so wrong there is was nothing casual about it. Simply put one of the most powerful meaningful human interactions I experienced in my life. The reading was very in depth and I heard exactly what I needed to hear for so long! Thank you Dave! My Mom, daughter and granddaughter stopped in here while sightseeing. It was such a great place! If you like crystals, incense, and mystical items, you will enjoy this store. We can't wait to go back when we have more time. There was so much to see. The prices are spot on too. If you enjoy tarot, there were many different decks.

This store has knowledge and hard to find stones that are priced Right. All the girls working there where fun full of energy. If you meet the owners you are in for a major treat! They both are beyond amazing! Felt totally connected to them as did my Spirit sister Witches. I will go back and plan on learning as much from Donna as she is willing to share. Very down to earth and Spirit filled.

I have been going to It's Raining Zen for almost 3 years now and I have never had a bad experience. The owners are lovely people that have made me feel like family. The staff is amazingly cheerful, always helpful, the store is filled to the brim with anything your looking for really from rune sets and crystals to pendulums and jewelery. And they have the best crystals anywhere I have seen yet. I'd give them a 10 out of 5 if I could! Keep up the amazing vibes!

It's Raining Zen is my favorite place to shop at when we visit Alton. I recently went on one of their ghost hunt tours. Dave was so fun and informative. The experience was AMAZING! I am already planning my next visit and hope to learn more from the amazing staff and resources they have!

this store is wonderful! the owner made a point to talk to me and tell me about the town and the building. he told me where the stones and jewelry that i picked out came from (so cool!) everyone was so kind i ended up learning a lot and spending like an hour inside. if you go to alton do not pass up an opportunity to stop by.

I love this store! I don't live close, so don't get there often but I talk about it all the time! Selection and prices are great, and owners knowledgeable and friendly. It's a great place to stop by and I love that they open their doors during ghost tours for people to browse and purchase the drinks they make available specifically for the tours.

As much as I love the items inside the store, the workers are terrible. I went in there to shop and was followed around by workers the whole time. As I was going to leave they accused me of stealing and said because I picked up a item and didn’t put it back where I got it from that I stole it. She harassed me for about 10 minutes after that and even followed me into another store continuing on saying I stole it and have it in my pocket or purse. This is not just my experience but my friends and other people I have talked to. Terrible workers
