I understand goodwill needing to make money off the items they are given but this location literally sells things for their actual value and not a discounted rate. There is a set of steam trunks there that are priced at $145!!!! For goodwill items!! I looked them up and that’s what they sell for online. I would say to people if you are going to donate nice things then maybe not take them here because you are giving them away so people with less money can afford nice things but goodwill is not keeping up with their end. What you give them is sold for an outrageous price at 100% profit. Maybe just post them on Facebook for free! That’s what I will be doing in the future!

Goodwill used to be the place you go when you can't afford brand new. I just went in and I found over five items that were more expensive then if you bought them brand new you might as well just go to Walmart.

My girl tried on a robe and left her purse hanging on the rack an employee named Jordyn placed it at the register for a safe and rightful return the place is a clean thrift store nice and convenient with new stuff everytime we visit. Thank you Jordyn. 😊

Prices too high and I have never received help from goodwill even when I applied for a job 3times.But they don’t have a problem with you volunteering your time or working there to get your public assistance check.

Employees are always nice & ready to help you! Also adding sizes to the clothes rack, which is great! Large variety of clothes, blankets, Kitchen gadgets, shoes & purses & coats 😄

Good product. Prices are up nearly 50%. No bags. No dressing rooms. 2 week money back refund - yay. Clean. Room to move around. Updated price tags. Open until 8pm most nights. Reduction in types of items. Overall, enjoyed it

It seems to always be busy, and my wife can usually find things she needs, and a few things we don't (LOL).I'm not crazy about masks, for those who complain, but will abide with the request to wear one. I was labeled to have had covid once, so understand folks feelings.Overall, this is a decent store, and the staff are cordial most of the time. Thank you for this service, and for giving back to the community as a result of our patronage.

This place has a sale everyday on certain color tagged items.. They have name brand clothes for a very cheap price.. They put out new wares everyday.. If you have a fine for tickets or anything you can do community service here.. It has knick knacks and other decorative household items.. It has random furniture and bikes depending on what gets donated.

I understand inflation but all of these items are DONATED & Goodwill is charging more money for items then what you buy them brand-new. Coats $15-$30, t-shirts that are name brand cost $8 and up, even with stains, holes/rips, etc. Most all items are USED which is acceptable but charging NEW department store prices for these USED items is insane. Where do we draw the line when it's filling the CFO's CEO's pockets?

Love to visit this place once a week when able, never know what kind of deal you'll find. I rarely leave empty handed. Suggest Taking your bags. They provide none any longer, unsure why but if I had to guess, I'd say $expense. Enjoy your visit.

Rather disappointed. High prices in my opinion for a company that use to be affordable for people in need. Some items priced higher then I've seen the same items at the dollar store. However plenty of clothes to choose from.

I’m going to start sharing the un logical trend that goodwill has on pricing . They need to train there managers in merchandising And as well as taking that negative vibe in there mind that the customer is upset because they want to get over on them. I know some people will always complain and some people will always scam but this is getting ridiculous. No I’m not talking about paying 478 for a shirt that is not a big deal to me I’m talking about the towel that is a tiny wash cloth that came from Walmart for three bucks and Goodwill is selling it for 299 I’m ok with paying more for things especially that are deserved . But if I see one more thing that is literally priced 4 bucks clearly that I could go get at dollar tree for a dollar or dollar general for 7 and it’s priced dramatically above the original price that is clearly stated on there , I’m notifying the proper authorities. It’s illegal to do that . They know this .

It's a good clean store with great deals on clothes and shoes... even some little knick knacks here and there. They don't accept furniture since Covid so don't look for that, bit you can find rugs and some appliances. The store is clean, safe, and the people are friendly. It is also easy to find as it sits right off of Homer G. Adams Parkway.

Personally I didn’t like the vibe there. There are three dressing rooms and two of them were closed with no one in them(and there wasn’t anything wrong with them) my mom had asked one of the workers if she could open one of them because me and my mom were taking turns and she said no. Other than that I thought it was fine I would go there again but I didn’t like the way they treated us.

Prices are way too high I always check online for new items if possible that match what I’m looking at and over the last couple years I’ve noticed that a lot of items I can buy brand new for the same price if not less and that’s ridiculous

This is a large store but most of it contains clothing. I went in there looking for furniture and there is a sign hanging from the ceiling that says furniture on it but underneath it were shoes. They also have a lot of household items and women’s handbags.

Was just killing time and decided to go in and check it out. Ended up buying a purse and 2 candles. It was pretty much well organized and clean. Snotty cashier. Some prices are a little high.

Great place to find Oddball things you're looking for or even home furnishings. Some items are quite overpriced and others are good but considering everything is donated I think it is ridiculous to ask such high amounts for used items that are supposed to be for charity. If they really want to help people on a tight budget they should remember they got the items free!!! They should be required two put the appropriate price on everything, giving opportunity to low income people to buy what they need. At the very least anyone should be able to negotiate prices with them and meet in the middle. I bought DVDs from this Goodwill and did not even think about checking the cases so when I got home for of the DVDs weren't even in there and I just paid for the case

I love this Goodwill. I do wish they would bring back bags as it's hard to carry things. But what I can't believe is all the people who are leaving this store 1 star because they're asked to wear a mask. Are you serious?? Do you live in a cave somewhere because all establishments are requiring one. No wonder Illinois has some of the highest cases in the country! And p.s. It's not about 'your rights.' What about my right to not get sick because of YOU! Do us all a favor and STAY HOME if you feel that way.

I used to love going to the Goodwill. I visited today for the first time in about 8 months. It was a surprise to find out that they are going bagless. It's the dumbest thing that I have ever seen. I am disabled and an inconvenience to not have a bag to carry stuff in.

just left this store because of how RUDE a specific staff. No GOOD WILL at this Good Will location. Management should really consider old employee with short blond hair with glasses. Way to be, lost my buisness.

The prices at the Alton, Illinois store are totally ridiculous!! When you can buy things brand new at a regular store for the same price makes no sense. These things are donated, which means USED, so why charge a new item price!?! Oh and a lot of your employees are rude. Maybe some classes on how to deal with the public properly might help, but I doubt it.

Nice, local Goodwill store with decent prices for resale items of every kind. This store's prices are fair and not inflated like other Goodwill stores near larger cites or college campuses. Great changing rooms and nice staff.
