We attended the eclipse party. It was a day I’ll not forget, and a fine place to watch the eclipse. The Peachbarn setting is very pretty. The interior is comfortable and clean with a large bar and we never waited for our drinks. The food was tasty and plentiful. We enjoyed the wine, especially the sparkling rosé. We were lucky to spend a little time with Jenny and learn the story behind the Peachbarn. The owners are warm, gracious, and funny. We hope they and the Peachbarn thrive. For the people posting negative reviews, did you not read the constant articles about pricing for the eclipse? Low-end motels in the zone of totality without a view or food were charging many hundreds of dollars more than the Peachbarn, a local business run by lovely people. I don’t understand why you would take a day that was all about community and joy and ruin it for yourself by fixating on the food. I think you missed the whole point of the day.

I would like to support small businesses and see them succeed, but their eclipse event was a big letdown and disappointment, especially because of the opportunity cost. I could have gone somewhere else to enjoy the day. I felt bad for everyone at the event who did not enjoy it. This review is meant to be constructive and critical.I paid $75 for generally food, live music, and parking; it was advertised as a buffet, but the food was cold, and some of the food ran out. They were not serving anything I had expected based on their regular menu; for example, they had Kraft mac and cheese and prepackaged pastries from Walmart or the like. I also wanted to enjoy charcuterie with wine, but none was offered. There was no live music due to an accident, but they never announced that. Nobody checked in with us or let us know. There were ticks, which I didn't expect, but didn't mind. I did not have any on myself but other guests did. I would have appreciated a heads up about ticks. The grounds were also muddy from rain the night before and I got mud all over my shoes and car.The atmosphere was just not festive as I had expected, mostly due to poor planning and some misfortune. I found myself wishing I had been somewhere else.

This was the best winery I have ever been to. The women there are perfect and kind and welcoming. I also tried just about everything they had to offer and loved everything. If you have to go to any winery , go hereFood & drinks: The drinks were amazing

One of the few times where I actually overwhelming disagree with recent negative posts. The zone of Carbondale is the total dead center of this entire phenomena. Every business in the area now has to deal with a surge of a net positive 3000% business inflow. That number is beyond comprehension. Hate to say it but most things are not going to work or function as expected for like a 100 mile radius. They did the best with what they could do. Staff was kind and did their best to be accommodating that's a 5 star.

Spectacular place. The food was very good. Enjoyed the peach sangria and wine. I stayed Bitty House 2. It was clean and spacious. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare food. There was a large front screened in porch. A back porch that opened up to a field, and a gabeezo in the field. To one side was a Vinyard and a path to the barn/restaurant. To the other side was a fireplace and picnic table. On a clear night, I went out into the field to look up at a blanket stars. Something I've never experienced in the city. The hosts and staff were welcoming, calm and friendly. A hik8ng trail was 2 miles away. This is a great spot that I would recommend to anyone.

It was highly overpriced for Solar Eclipse party. The advertised band never appeared. For five stars restaurant prices food quality was very poor. The place looks run down. Don’t recommend to anyone

They say a picture is with a thousand words, so I couldn't help but think is this all there is? $17.50 combo meat/sausage & cheese board. It was the saddest, most pathetic charcuterie board i’ve ever seen in my life! The wine was pleasant, the young woman at the counter was hustling to accommodate all the patrons. She must have been feeling the stress as she made reference that the owner was out drinking wine at a nearby winery. The music was a nice touch for a late Friday afternoon. Overall our experience had plenty of room for improved.

This was a great stop along our tour of wine country. We literally stopped because their cafe menu looked good. We wanted to get some food in our bellies but nothing huge since we had plans for dinner this evening. However, they had several sangrias on the menu, and actually offered them as a flight. Since we were having trouble deciding, we were sold on that idea. 5 (medicine cup size) shots for $7. Ranking our faves in order; Apple, peach, lavender, berry, melon.Back to the reason we came, the food. Walked in thinking of getting an app or two and ended up deciding to share the Peach Barn Meatballs. Such a great decision. It's their version of Swedish Meatballs and mashed potatoes. They we so good. They also had a band today (seems like they do every Saturday), The Dave Caputo Band. This was a 2-man group, playing guitar and piano, but had the ability to add in the drum parts. Both guys sang well and offered a variety of classic rock songs. Couples were dancing.

I was lucky enough to visit during their Barn Fest. The entire experience was great. We enjoyed all the wines, the Mid Century was my favorite! We tried their cheese and sausage boards, flat breads and soup, all excellent! They also has a meatloaf special that was amazing! That needs to be on the menu permanently! And their staff the local musicians that played were fantastic! Lots of talent in their area! Cannot wait to go back!

We came with a recommendation from another vineyard close by. We are extremely impressed with everything we tasted. Mushroom soup was fabulous. The warm Brussels sprouts salad we took was real main course type of salad. Cheese platter was rich and very nice. Boys got Swedish meatball I tasted a little and loved it. Also service was perfect. Very kind, attentive perfect !! Highly recommend

Quite disappointed in this place. Especially because we came there for the Swedish food that was advertised in their local magazine. They do not have Swedish food any longer. We ordered a flight of wine and we were served in these tiny little plastic cups. Not very impressive at all. The two girls at the counter had zero knowledge of wine. They really couldn't help at all period when they're serving at a wine tasting place one would think that they should be able to tell you about things period they seem to just read off the same description cards that we were reading off of. Being that we came there to eat we were hungry. So we were kind of forced to order a flatbread. We chose the stuffed mushroom flatbread which was really nothing but a pile of cream cheese with some mushrooms on a small piece of flatbread. The atmosphere was kind of solemn. Would not go there again.

This place is awesome! The staff was very knowledgeable about all of the winery's in the area. This was very helpful in deciding where to go next. The food was spectacular and so fast. If you like salmon, you will love their cedar plank salmon. It was divine!

Swedish food. Friendly staff that was knowledgeable about the choices. The at atmosphere comfortable but is a bit basic for the prices.Lobster soup was very good as well as the brie appetizer. And the rolls had a great flavor. Meatballs were fair. Appreciated the beer options, brought in from St Louis brewery.

Staff wasn't very inviting or helpful, the wine was not as described. Asked for a sweet wine (picked from the menu) and received a bitter wine. The staff didn't offer any type of help as to what was good or what to try based on preference. The building was very nice and the gentleman playing was very good.

Awesome! Staff, esp Elizabeth who can take a reservation like no other. Outdoor patio view with a glass of fantastic wine. I was with a hot real blonde so that didnt hurt either. Loved the lower level cafe. Food and service fantastic. Love it. Going back next time in town. Listening to the Soaked Oats now. Thanks for turning me on to them. Blown away. From the Florida Guy. You know who that is!

Food is always so yummy! The new berry sangria is very good and the waitresses are super pleasant, outgoing, and very knowledgeable about the wines and food. Always a great experience in this cozy, quiet, quaint and friendly dining space.

We visited Hedman's during a weekend on the Wine Trail. The staff member providing the tasting was very friendly and provided a lot of information on the property and the journey of the owners. We paired our tasting with the appetizer cheese tray (which included salami, fruit and olives as well) and had a great experience. The peach wine is unique to this property- they were sold out of one variety, but the peach dessert wine was very good.

My wife and I love to walk up to Hedman for a bottle of wine and the cheese and sausage plate. It sometimes turns into 2 bottles and dinner. The wine is really good and the food is great. The owners and staff are all lovely folks.

Wine had a strong vinegar taste. Their 'sangria' isn't sangria. It's peach wine mixed with soda (I think 7up?)The non-vegetarian food was good (meatballs, lobster bisque) but a little over priced. Their vegetarian option, a basil flatbread, reminded us of the pizza we got served in highschool.Gets 2 stars for the non-vegetarian food, which was pretty good. We didn't finish anything else.
