What's really sad is this store is clean. I'm just taken back by how rudely I watched a customer being treated yesterday. To shame a young mother for paying with coins at a self check out and humiliate her. Only the employee looked ridiculous as all the shoppers gathered around the girl outside to give apologies for the employees behavior.Now that I think about it, everytime I go to this store all the workers seem mad or depressed. I think I'll just skip over to the Viola location until you get this store taken care of.

This is by far one of the cleanest Dollar General stores anywhere. The staff cares about its customers. Keep up the good work. This is the pride of DG.

One star only on this encounter. It's been a while since I've been in this dollar general store. I went to exchange or return an outfit for my daughter. My husband just cut the tags off last night and put it on her. This morning I noticed that there was a whole in the outter seam of the pants. I thought that it was a manufacturer defect. When I got inside and told the lady that I wanted to exchange it, she told me to find something in the store with the same cost. While looking I noticed that there were no clothes in the store anymore. Once I found a few items that equaled less than the outfit I went to the register. The outfit only rang in at 1 cent! I was a little bit perturbed. The lady at the register was nice, but she said that there was nothing that she could do. I think that's obscene. So I guess I'll just have to sew it.

Shelves are always stalked. The employees have many hats to put on. Doing all this and taking care of customers at register. I love having another place to shop. My feelings are strong on more employees need to work together as a team but for whatever reason there is only 2 people working at a time. Most of the time it's only 1 person. OH And They Definitely Need To Pay Better

I used to do most of my shopping at the Dollar General in Aledo, IL until they realized I was actually using my $5 coupon. They stopped giving me the coupon on my receipt. I asked the gal who read also the manager why I wasn't getting a coupon anymore. She said because you aren't spending enough money. You only get coupons when you spend $50 or more. I didn't think was true but I gave her the benefit of doubt and spent $50 or more. Finally one day I went in and bought a Pepsi. The manager wasn't there and didn't wait on me. Low and behold I got a coupon. I now do most of my major shopping at Walmart.

Clean, well-stocked, and a decent selection of product. Opens earlier and closes later than Wal-Mart. Staff has always been very kind and helpful in finding what I'm looking for.

Found what I was looking for. The cashier was helpful and the store was cleaner than most. Watch dates on products though, found some items expired by more than 1 year.

Kinda cluttered together with very narrow isles to try to get a cart through. Store didn't have enough clerk's for the amount of people who were there and is always like that. Bathrooms weren't very clean either.

Pretty sad place to shop, I got halfway through the store and they kicked me out and told me they were closed for the next few days. Didn't even have a sign saying they were closed. I will never go back.
