I love the place, the people working there and the people eating there too! Best service! Food was delicious and beautifully served. I had the "to die for" walleye dinner. It was superb! The place is very clean and food is fresh. You shouldn't pass it. Come super hungry, food is big.

Good salad bar but anticipate a plate instead of shallow bowl and it's single trip not AYCE. Other salads available on the menu. Great chili Very quaint and appears they do events in a back hall. Nice history on the wall in the hallway. And the broccoli cheese bites are delicious.Wheelchair accessibility: Not through the main entry that I saw

We were there for fathers day. We didn't have a reservation. They had a private party they were saving tables for. They got the 6 of us sat, a difficult size to accommodate in the situation, and served us some GREAT fried chicken.Our whole experience, great service, awesome personality of our server,The only complaint out of the whole table was the tea!Maybe manager could pick a different brand or change his strength of tea, it would've been perfect! Great time had by all.

Best Philly cheesesteak and sweet potato fries I've had! Catfish fillets were excellent as well! A hidden gem of a restaurant/bar/grill. Definitely reccomend!

Amazing fried fish! We stop every time we're nearby. Place was busy (it was Friday night) but tables available and we were waited on immediately. There wasn't a long wait to get our food either. Highly recommend!Parking: Plenty of room to park.

Referred by a peace officer in adjacent town recommending the fried chicken. Being Friday and all I couldn’t help not getting the Walleye dinner. Delicious, plentiful and a bargain. Couldn’t eat it all and it was my first meal of the day (it was 5’ish and I’d been up since 6a). It’s tucked away in the town as you’d likely not happen upon it just driving through. But as with most really good diners, dives and dashes you have to ask or look for them. Staff was friendly, prompt and helpful. Do certainly stop in if you enjoy good food, friendly service and a good value. I’ll be back.

Great stop on our journey from Minnesota to Florida. Not sure how but now know why.FATE.. We were very pleased with the service and attention that we received and the food was great. Wish we could have stayed longer but had to get on the road. Fantastic, and wonderfull.Thank you Barb for being so attentive and fun.Patty was a real on site owner who made us feel very welcomed. LOVED IT.

First time visitor; won't be the last time! If I lived closer, I would eat here several times per week! The menu is large and varied enough to support frequent visits without getting bored.It was unusually busy for a Tuesday, but the food (we had their ground-on-site burgers) and service were excellent. Barbara was excellent at keeping us informed, and refilling our drinks before we needed them.Definitely worth a drive for the food at this friendly, homey place.

Been too the Nest many times, first time I've ordered food for carry out. My husband had the rib eye steak dinner, which was great. I had a taste for the ultimate nachos. I was expecting it to be soggy chips and cold toppings. The way it was prepared was awesome.Thank you

Standard small midwestern town tavern. Nothing fancy here, just good food, good portions, and inexpensive prices. They have several kinds of fried fish. My wife loves the Blue Gill which you just can't get most places. They are locally known for their fried chicken.

This place is about halfway between Kansas City and Lexington Kentucky so if you're doing a whole stretch of I64 it's a great find right off the highway. I honestly want to be there right now, but the last time I passed through was over a year ago. I was literally just sitting on the couch thinking about it though and had to share how happy it made me. A warm inviting place on a cold night.Ice cold beer, friendly bartender, good food and the wine list is lovely.

Hadn't been there since moving from the immediate area over 20 years ago. What a wonderful surprise!!!! Great salad bar, good selection of meals - had the fried chicken and liked it a lot!! We will be back!! Service was especially great!

Go there all the time for the Eagle Burger which is amazing. They grind all of their own meat there for the burgers and I have taken many friends and family there and they all love the burgers.Also had the rib-eye steak and it was pretty tasty as well, a little fatty, but that is the danger with that cut of meat.Service is fast and efficient even when the whole place is full on the weekends.
