I moved to Abingdon recently from another state and the meat at this store is the best I have found at any store in either state for several years. The price is very reasonable and the staff is extremely friendly. The first time they carried my groceries to my car, was a pleasant surprise.

Love thus little place. Everyone is friendly and helpful. I like their meat section, it's always fresh n good. And ya can't beat the personal service ya get when they take your groceries to your car for you.

It's like walking back in time at the Abingdon store. In a good way.. meat cutters, friendly people and they carry your groceries to your car!

I love the store, but the pharmacy needs to move into the next century. I tried to transfer prescriptions there for the 1st time using the pharmacy and was told I'd have to come into the store. They will need my name, address and insurance info. We can't do that over the phone?

I love this place. It's a family business with strong ties to the community. The service is great. The meat department is excellent- like the old butcher shop. The cashiers know everyone and feel like family. This is probably the only grocery store that has carry out service. Right to your car, and they load it exactly like you want it. It is an experience, a really good one!

They have very friendly employees andhave always carried your groceries to your car. Now that we don't raise our own livestock I have found that their meat Dept is very accommodating and the meat is Very high quality for store bought. Last but not least I really appreciate the fact that it has always been "Family Owned" by a very kind and friendly family 💕

They should be proud! I just moved into the area and realized that Hi Lol is only 8 miles away. I'm impressed with this store. The prices are better in most cases then HyVee!!!

Love their mini subs-i prefer the roast beef; but they also have ham & cheese and a lunch meat, at only $3 per sub, makes for a great lunch.Also daily meat specials.If you are passing through Abington Illinois stop at Hi-Lo grocery.It may end up being your new favorite grocery store.

Clean, well stocked, excellent meat and produce sections. Friendly and curtious staff. If you can't find it, they are more than happy to look for it. Buy at 95% of my groceries here!

This store was a pleasant surprise. Lots of variety in stocked goods. I live alone and gladly found they package some meats in smaller servings. Give them a try, great store for small town.

I visit the store in Abingdon and they are super friendly there. Yes the prices might be a little higher than say Walmart but but you don't have to wait in line forever and you get friendly service! Also ,I don't like the big stores because I have a hard time getting around. Every time I go there I get checked out right away. Well worth the little extra you have to pay and plus your supporting a small home town business !

Super friendly employees and the last of the family owned small grocery stores in the area. The only descent meat department in Abingdon or Galesburg (even better than the now corporate owned Thrushwood Farms). Fair prices and a surprisingly good selection for a small store. This is also the only place in the Galesburg area to get good (fresh) produce. They will carry your groceries to your car as well. There is always somebody to greet you when you walk in and never a long line. I hope they never go out of business.
