Lisa at the front desk might actually be an angel!! She was so friendly when I called for a room. And when we got there she was amazing!!When we needed to extend our stay, she worked her magic and made it happen. On the morning we were leaving, our lock was frozen on vehicle and she once again went above and beyond!!The inn may be slightly dated, but everything was clean! An absolutely beautiful pool area!! And one of the cutest towns I've seen!! 10/10 would recommend

The only bad thing about the Wallace Inn is that it'll make you disappointed in other hotels and what they've given up. I don't know exactly how to describe it but staying here feels like the way hotels used to be before they started cutting back. From small things like plentiful towels in the room and a FULL selection of TV channels, to the attached restaurant, the Wallace Inn delivers on all levels. Oh, and the bathrooms have fan/heater combos... remember when hotel bathrooms had heaters? Between that and the sauna, you'll be able to warm up quickly after a day of skiing. Speaking of skiing, the hotel is about equidistant to both Lookout Pass and Silver. We've stayed here twice and skied both mountains each time. Then when you're done skiing and get back to your hotel, you're walking distance (yes, we walked everywhere through Wallace's picturesque neighborhoods) to some excellent restaurants: Fainting Goat, Blackboard Cafe, Muchachos Tacos... all excellent and just a few blocks away. Staying in Wallace, particularly at the Wallace Inn, is like a cheat code to a ski vacation. We felt like we shouldn't be having as much of a great experience as we did for such a low cost. And then when you add in two relatively uncrowded (or empty) ski areas (compared to other destinations) it really does feel like a secret. I don't like to spot-burn, but I do want to make sure Wallace Inn, the town of Wallace, and the ski areas are profitable for generations to come, so I'm telling you all right now to get to Wallace! To paraphrase Warren Miller: If you don't go to Wallace, Idaho this year, you'll just be one year older when you do.

Beautiful location, beautiful hotel, friendly and efficient staff. We checked in after our truck broke down, and they checked us in early so we wouldn't have to wait. They even had a doggy gift bag for our pup. They went above and beyond to help us however they could. If I could give them more stars I would. Thank you so much for helping us through our fiasco. Could not have asked for a more pleasant experience!Rooms: The rooms are great, the beds are comfortable, the bathrooms are absolutely fantastic. Great waterpressure, and beautifully maintained.Walkability: It's a small town, you can walk everywhere.

We have been staying at the Wallace Inn for 20 years or more, every year. We travel with dogs and even the manager has a dog. The setting is gorgeous, the restaurants in town are great. But the Wallace Inn has changed. They used to serve dinner in the restaurant. No longer. This time we arrived quite late, after the town had shut down. We hadn't eaten a thing. But they didn't even offer us a cup of tea from the kitchen, or a piece of bread. Only candy from the vending machine. My husband and I have trouble walking, balance issues. I have asked many times if the inn could install even a post to make stepping on and off the back sidewalk easier and safer. Again, nothing. I resorted to asking strangers - if any happened to be around - to give me a hand. For that reason alone, we can no longer stay at the Wallace Inn, which we have loved for such a long time. And these are such easy fixes.

The Wallace Inn is getting very tired. The rooms are the same now as 30 years ago. The bed was comfortable. Worn carpet, but it was clean. Mirrors are worn out, with splotches on them. Finishes are pealing. I gave room service a $20.00 tip and asked for extra caffeinated coffee with extra cream and sweet n low. Got nothing. No tip the next night! You actually have to request housekeeping! Seems to me for as busy as they are, and such an ideal location, the quality would be top-notch!

Got here during a blizzard for a one night stay. Inn was decorated so nicely for the holidays and felt warm and inviting.Front desk was welcoming and professional.Room was very clean and comfortable. Not modern but everything worked and there was plenty of room.I didn't get to try breakfast but they have a full-size cafe, and I imagine it was great.Parking is a little awkward, but it was during a blizzard so it was naturally hard to park anyway.I would stay here again. Wonderful town with lots to do. Wish I weren't just passing through.

It's a great Hotel, my only complaint- Breakfast is an additional fee (on top of the nightly rate that's 100s of dollars). Also, the elevator is nonexistent! It's in a beautiful setting though, walking distance of downtown.Nearby activities: Museums, Antique stores, etc...Walkability: It's in town!

We love this Inn, We love Wallace! Front Desk people are always kind and helpful during check-in and out. Beds are comfortable, pool is clean, hotel is quite when we've stayed. Food is basic in the restaurant, but that's all we need. The rooms need some love, but are fairly clean when we've stayed.Nearby activities: Lots to do in Wallace, walking distance to historic downtown and a quick drive to ride a gondola. Pulaski Trail, ski hills... lots of seasonal things to pick from.

This was my third stay at the Wallace Inn and it felt like coming back home. The team at Wallace Inn are so incredibly helpful with anything you might need. Rooms are spacious, well appointed, and a quick 5 min walk to the downtown core.If you are planning to ride the Trail of Coeur d'Alene, Hiawatha, Bitterroot 300k, or anything in between the hotel manager, Rick Shaffer (aka Prime Minister), will help get you there with tips, maps, or shuttling services. When we arrived we had our bike shuttle route planned but needed some last minute changes. Rick was quick to provide guidance/support to help us figure out a new plan and really helped us recover the trip. I cannot thank him enough! Please do yourself a favor and stay here.

Rooms are great for the price. Pool area is small, but more than adequate. Service is present and usable. 3 stars doesn't mean bad, it's average. You'll be fine with it, but it won't blow your mind. The immediate location is... yeah. A interstate, gas station, and some shady homes. The town itself is quaint, in a good way. Wildcat pizza is pretty good!

The gentleman working the front desk was very kind and accommodating. I was traveling through late at night and not having any luck finding a place to stay. I was just passing through. 10 minutes later he called me back and thankfully was able to find me the last room available. The roads were icy and it was peak skiing season. I really appreciated that he was able to get me a room for my 3 month old puppy and myself. Also, gorgeous views as soon as you leave the building. Highly recommend!

Good place to stop, the hotel staff very professional & nice. However, room had a TV that didn't go on at first. I found the Direct TV box was loose. We were too tired to contact desk, toilet ran a lot then went quiet just before leaving. Ice Machine okay but at end of hall, wish they could have one up front. Should provide breakfast coupon at least $5. per person. No discount offered & I didn't think to ask for Senior AARP or AAA reduction. Kinda disappointed. My friend paid..

We just got back from 4 nights staying at tge Wallace inn. It is an excellent base for bike cycling the cour d’alene trail….A paved rail to trail path from Plummer Idaho to Mullan Idaho …and cycling the Hiawatha trail. Hotel had shuttle service which transported 10 of us and our bikes to 3 different start points to ride about 35 miles per day. Hotel is very comfortable and staff are very accommodating. Wallace has a few good restaurants including a small restaurant with excellent tacos! All in all it’s a great holiday.

We paid of $150 to stay in what we thought would be a great historic hotel. The room looked half at cleaned, went down to the hot tub there was so much chlorine it was burning or eyes and was making us cough we tried but couldn't stay in it more then a minute or two. We tried the sauna but it was dirty so we just went back to our room had a horrible night's sleep cause the beds are horrible. We woke up hoping for breakfast and they don't serve that here. They have some coffee but no creamer. This hotel is worth about $85 a night. Then I'd expect this kind of service.and the hot lat night was rude, dry and no sense of humor. We came here for our anniversary and it was t worth it at all. I'd rather had stayed in our RV at a RV Park. Won't be staying here again. Happy Unniversary to us!

This Inn is AMAZING.Our accessible room was perfect...walk in shower, comfy bed, couch, and so much more.Inn has no elevator so do request bottom floor if mobility is an issue.Exercise room, pool, lovely grounds, coffee bar and on site restaurant for breakfast. We would highly recommend it.

We found TWO bedbugs upon arrival. I was feeding my 4 month old baby in bed when we saw them. We captured them and took them to the front desk. The person at the front desk felt terrible and was accommodating. He gave us a new room. We appreciate the staff but the rooms were dated and had a stale smoke smell. Wifi was also terrible and my husband missed some necessary work. The hotel did the right thing and refunded our room.

The rooms are in need of updating. The location was great and the front desk person was nice. I booked my room through the Wallace Inn website figuring I would save them the middleman markup. The box at the registration came up with a price of $172, however the charge to my credit card was $252. I called the hotel direct who said they use a third party to handle online reservations and couldn't adjust it but they would notify the hotel manager. The manager never contacted me. I tried dealing withe booking company for over two hours but was hung up on once and was given a non-working email address to escalate to since all the employees are remote and there are no supervisors apparently in the entire company. If you must stay at the Wallace Inn call them direct do not book online and hope that you don't need the help of their manager who did not follow up with my issue.

Awful staff. There was only one person working at the hotel that treated me and my family with any kind of respect. The night lady was kind. All other employees we had to deal with treated us like we shouldn’t be here. The morning worker checked us out of our room when we went to the gold room for our birthday party, we NEVER said we were checking out, we paid for TWO nights, we had to go back to reception and have the night lady check us back in. The morning lady that we dealt with kept asking us if we had a room here every time we walked by the desk and acted like we were a wrench in her day when we had a question. We checked out 14 hours early because we’re so sick of dealing with the disrespect from employees. I will say, the manager, Richard I believe, that I spoke with on the phone and emailed with, was great. Very kind. And I have a feeling that if he would of been working the last day we’ve been here, the staff would have acted more appropriately. The rental room to have the party in was nice, nice to have it all set up. The pool and hot tub were clean. The room was okay, the sheets had some obvious stains, we got new ones from the night lady. If the staff would have been respectful, this would be a 5 star review. However, overall, we felt very unwelcome by most staff.

The Wallace Inn is a clean and comfortable hotel in Idaho right near the border with Montana. It’s the perfect spot to explore Wallace, The Trail Coeur d’Alene or head up Lookout Pass for the Hiawatha trail. They have a room to store bikes and a hose out back for cleaning that Hiawatha mud off. There is a pool as well for relaxing after your bike ride. The town of Wallace is quant and has some nice restaurants.

Such a lovely place to stay with great rates on their rooms. The front desk clerk David, was very attentive and helpful even though he was extremely busy checking in customers and answering the phone at the same time. David also brought a additional blanket to my room even though it was still busy later that evening. The pool, sauna, steam and dry heat rooms were perfect. The Wallace Inn has done a great job updating the pool area and the mattresses are wonderful.

Great service. The staff is very accommodating, they have a great sense of humor (Something you don't really see in my home state of Washington). The beds are comfortable, the rooms are spacious, and clean. And the pool/hot tub is to die for.

We are very disappointed for the price we paid! Rooms need to be updated. The hotel is "non-smoking", but the halls and our room smelled of smoke. The Wi-Fi is horrible!! We couldn't text or receive texts from the people we were traveling with!! The hot tub didn't work. When we asked the front desk, they told us it had been cleaned and would warm up....but another guest at the pool told us it hadn't worked the day before either. Many of the locals in town told us to try Airbnb next time. Wallace is a great town with fun shops and the Hiawatha Bike Trail was a dream come true! Just find a different place to stay-
