The tour of the mine which was wonderful and the guide a former miner Fast Freddie was very knowledgeable, engaging, and entertaining was outstanding. I would give this place 5 stars however, the driver for the tour was indifferent to the female military members on the tour. He started out asking were there any military or vets on board. Those that were, raised their hands including myself and a fellow female military vet. He acknowledged the male vets by speaking to them directly but never acknowledged the female vets. It was evident he focused on the male vets by engaging them during the drive to the mine and back. If you are going to ask the question be courteous enough to acknowledge all members of the military or do not ask the question in the first place. The driver mentioned Wyatt Earp during his talk. As we were dropped off, I tried to engage with the driver to let him know that my ancestrial family had ties with Wyatt Earp he basically brushed me off. My friend had the same feeling during the drive. I then left and now my review speaks for itself. Without saying the word sexist I think I am getting my point across.

This was one of the coolest tours! I had no expectations really, but it was absolutely fascinating! The tour guides were personable, knowledgeable and we felt so comfortable. We learned a lot and my son even got to use some of the machinery underground. He was thrilled! It’s cold, so bring a sweatshirt. But even if you don’t have one, they will lend you one. We can’t wait to go back again.

My husband and I came here for the tour and we really enjoyed every minute of it. From the trolley ride downtown Wallace up to the mine. It was a great time. Marty are tour guide in the mine was wonderful and such a nice person. I would recommend however, if you're sensitive to noise, bring some ear plugs for when they demonstrate some of the equipment. It's extremely loud and if you're sensitive to noise, it may be a problem for you. Also, if you're afraid of the dark, please be prepared that there is going to be a portion where they're demonstrating the darkness of the cave. This may scare young children in particular. I highly recommend this place in this tour. It's worth the very small amount you pay and you'll learn a lot.

We love this tour! The tour guide had so much to share and turned several of the machines on. (If you have small kids or those sensitive to noise bring earmuffs) It is amazing that men go down and work underground every day for products that we never know we use. Our guide was a 4th generation miner! Will go back and do this again when our little kids can remember but our big kid loved the tour!

Fabulous! The tour guide in the mine was a real local miner and could intelligently answer any question. My kids were fascinated. The trolley tour guide was hilarious and we had no idea the history Wallace had. Both the mine tour and the trolley tour kept my young kids' attention and were very interesting for adults.Very very pleased, worth every penny. Some other people in our tour said they had done other tours and this was by far the best.

Great learning opportunity for the family. Lenny is a great tour guide with actual experience working in mines. He made us laugh all the way through. You get to see some of equipment actually being used. Bus tour gave some interesting history of the town and area. Highly recommend going.

My husband and I were looking for something fun to do during our time in Idaho. We were excited to find this place! We got lucky and were the only people on our tour, which was nice and felt more personal. Plus our guide was extremely friendly, had a lot of knowledge about the mines, and a great story teller. The trolly ride on our way there was comfortable and convenient. Our driver was friendly who pointed out many different things about Wallace. I highly recommend doing the tour! Also would recommend calling in advance to confirm scheduling/tour guides.

If you are visiting Wallace, this tour is awesome for the family! Marty was our guide (he is a fourth generation miner from the area) therefore he knows his stuff! The informative tour through town is super relaxing after walking through the mine as well! 😁👍 - Great experience overall.

I homeschool my kids and took them here to learn more about Idaho's history and to teach them an appreciation for the life they have. They were able to learn so much from Lenny! He was such a fantastic guide and had the best stories. He really put into perspective the hardships of miners and how jobs like these have shaped our country into what it is today. There are so many things we take for granted these days. If it wasn't for the people willing to do the hard and dirty work we wouldn't have come as far as we have as a nation. Thank you Lenny for the insights to mining, idaho culture, and for making us laugh with all your hilarious stories! We do not have one complaint about this tour and we would do it again if we ever visit again! Thanks Lenny for an awesome and educational time! And thanks for your time as a miner too :)

Took my 11 year old and 8 year old to do the mine tour. We bought our tickets at the station and mined for minerals inside the store. We also got ice cream inside the store. Then the adorable trolley came and picked us up and gave us a little tour of the town and took us to the mine. My boys thought the mine was really interesting. Our tour guide was very informative. He let the boys turn on some of the equipment. I had never been inside a mine before and I thought it was very neat. Very accessible too. There are about 25 steps to the mine entrance and the inside of the cave is flat. We drove over and did the Pulaski trail afterwards. Such a fun day!

We had a great time. The tour was very interesting and Lee, our guide, was patient and answered all of our questions. My one suggestion is, tell people who bring their dogs that the machinery is VERY loud, not a little loud, and there is a vibration that will startle them. It was a great experience. I would also suggest, if you head back to the west, out of Wallace, do stop at the memorial for the Sunshine Mining disaster. Is is impressive.

Cool store and fun mine tour. The trolley ride gave you some history of mining and also of the town in general. Our tour guide in the mine was very knowledgeable and an actual miner. The demonstrations of the mining equipment was awesome! You always wonder how these tools work.

Just one of the many reasons I love frickin love Wallace. From the minute you get on the trolly to take you up to the mine the entertainment alone is worth the the price. Once you get to the mine Marty welcomes you and the tour begins. Awesome. First class tour

My group really enjoyed this tour. The trolley ride to the mine was informative about the town history and the guide at the mine was wonderful. As a retired miner he had great insight into life and history of the silver mining industry. The tour was interesting and felt interactive. If you have time to only do one tour in the area this is the one to choose.

Fantastic tour and our guide was awesome. You will learn all about the mining industry and get to be part of the action with live demonstrations while inside the mine itself. Must do while in Wallace.

A super fun time walking through part of a real mine and learning about what working in one is like. The best part was our guide was a miner and added all his personal experiences to the tour. I would go back again just to be able to ask some more questions!
