We found the Rusty Lantern online, and decided to try it. Callie, the waitress was wonderful! She was SO friendly, and took great care of us. I made a request that my food be served differently, and it was just right. The atmosphere was Old West, right down to the music. Loved it!!! Wish I could just take the restaurant home to my town!!!

Well as a fellow business owner, if it's one thing I can appreciate it's the difficulty it takes to create a certain atmosphere. Your business setting, the care people get from your employees, it all plays into what people see and feel when they do business. Well at the Rusty Lantern Diner they did so well with it all! I feel like I was transported to a time long ago when things weren't so complicated! Nice waitress, amazing food, good prices and off course an incredibleatmosphere. It's a 5 star place that I'm sure took this 5 star owner a long time to build, I can't wait to get hungary again! Really amazing service! We set a reservation online and they had a table waiting for us when we arrived! This is a perfect lunch spot. All of the food was tasty and came out quickly. Taco soup was amazing, and the scones and bread were sooo good. Fries were also super tasty! I ordered the oriental chicken side salad and cheesesteak sandwich- great combo for lunch! Also their hot chocolate hit the spot on a very snowy day.

Great service! The waiter was very accommodating when I asked for a shrimp Caesar salad. Very classic and traditional Idaho atmosphere. I have fond memories of coming here when I was a kid as a Thanksgiving you from my grandpa from helping around the house. Great to see that it's still the same all these years later. Great job! Rustic Idaho ❤️

I walked in just in time to miss breakfast and the lunch crowd was already showing up. Many of the people showing up were recognized by name. I ordered the steak sandwich and it was very good. They had mini loaves of freshly baked bread and cornbread and I got an order of both. The sandwich was flavorful and juicy. Ate it quickly so the bread did not get soggy. Hope to get back to Rigby so I can have their biscuits and gravy.

Was very excited to try this place out. I will go again at some point to see if this was a one off.Based on all the reviews I thought let’s try this place. Drove all the way out there for a late breakfast. We walk in and it busy. Good sign. Then we wait to be seated and get told find a spot.We are handed menus for lunch. I asks about breakfast and they quit serving it at 1130am. Like a fast food joint. Our waitress was awful. Never coming here we asked a few questions and see was obviously didn’t want to bother.I got a bacon cheeseburger with a Dr. Pepper and my husband got the chicken strip basket with soup instead of fries and coffee.The chicken strips were lacking in quantity(2)were nothing special, so much so that I buy these at KJ gas station for 99 cents. The soup was good and the burger was just a burger . durinthe week.

First timers. I had no idea how busy it would be! You'll want to make a reservation. While all the servers were polite and courteous, they seemed too busy to attend to our table. Meal was decent, but prices are pretty high. Food was good quality and quantity. Loved the zucchini appetizer and cobbler. I'll come back and try something new on the menu (maybe breakfast) and try to hit a less busy time.

Date night we decided on trying this place as it was something new an we were told how good the food was. While the food was decent the service was NOT. We were completely ignored despite the ladies who took our orders and than come to give us our tickets. As we sat an watched the ladies go from table to table being asked how their meals were, if they needed anything else not once were we.Its a bloody shame that racism was a factor to this establishment. We felt so out of place but despite our thoughts were willing to still give it the benefit of the doubt.Perhaps you folks should work on your customer service an appreciate that all walks of life support your business not be so ignorant to ones appearances/color etc. It was completely obvious that your establishment couldn't get us out the door fast enough. Than after we walked away to go pay two of you stood whispering something.Maybe thinking we didn't tip which we did despite your ignorance.Be better, do better. Thank-you for reminding us on how not to treat others.

Wow, didn't know this place even existed. They had great burgers and fries (the fries tasted exactly like my favorite fries a another very famous restaurant where you're in and out really fast). The servers were very friendly and made sure that everyone was taken care of. If you are near Ucon you've got to stop by this little diner and have some great good! We had a party of over 20 with kids and the waitresses did awesome!Oh, one last thing. It appears they've stopped selling their famous cinnamon rolls... at least the day we were there.

The salad was so disappointing. The vegetables on top were all way too big to fork into my mouth. They were veggie platter sized. Why? The greens were boring. I'm a salad lover, so I won't be back, but I'm sure my husband will. The deep-fried mushrooms, mashed potatoes, clam chowder, country fried steak, and french fries were FANTASTIC. The steak was pan-fried, though. The menu was limited. We were greeted warmly, seated, and served very quickly. The staff was very friendly. The old country music was perfect. The whole guenuine country feel was great. The best thing they have going for them is the ambiance. Judging by what was good at dinner, I'll bet their breakfast is good.

It was great. Very delicious, simple, menus. Their burgers were some of the best we have had. We usually don't get dessert when we go out, but we saw they had huckleberry bread pudding and decided to splurge. It did not disappoint. That bread pudding was over the top delicious. I'd go back just for that

This is a great local place and the food is amazing. If you through, get the taco soup and fry bread. Well worth the money! Great portions!
