I went there to look at marine fish. The owner asked me what brought Me there. I told him I was looking to build a new Reef tank in a 55gal. He basically said I didn't know anything about saltwater aquariums. I've had multiple over the years, all of them have thrived. As I said, it's not just a hobby it's a passion of mine. He continued to ask where I get my information, I said books, internet and YouTube. As soon as I said youtube this guy raised his voice and basically called me a moron in front of everyone. Just because he said I needed to add fish to a new tank or else it wouldn't cycle. I SAID that is 100% incorrect! Why would anybody who says they love fish add fish during its first cycle. Can you, sure. Should you? Absolutely not, torturing fish to shave a couple days off a new cycle After I said I always do it naturally with NO fish. This guy followed me after I said I was done with this conversation. I would never buy anything from that guy. EPIC CORALS is by far way better. Those guys know what they're doing.

The first thing I noticed when I walked in was the oppressive smell of cigarette smoke. To each their own, but it made it hard to be in there. I told the gentleman what particular fish I was looking for and instead of addressing that, he started asking about my current set up and trying to upsell me on all kinds of tank accessories and tank mates. Took me a couple times of asking if he had what I was looking for for him to say, "Eh, I might have one in that tank over there." I politely left.

The smell of smoking when I walked in, he was cussing in front of kids, He has no salt water experience, He talks trash on other business, there was way to mean fish in one tank, has bad product for a tank this is definitely my last time coming in if I was any of you guys I would go to Freshwater Aquatics and Epic Corals

This guy will say anything to sell you products even if he has to lie. He doesn't want you to have an eco system he wants to sell you fish tanks and chemicals so you have to keep buying fish after yours die. ( That's why he doesn't sell live plants... ding ding) Do not shop here or you will be ripped off by his outrageous prices and lies. You can buy the same products and chemicals for half the price at petsmart. Guess what? He buys his fish from the same dealer that petsmart does.

Unfortunately staff did not know anything about betta care and tried to sell me the tiny container they were keeping the bettas in. My sister told them she did not know why her betta died so they I did not do my clresearch but this sadly this is normal for fish stores and I still have my little guy after 6 months, I bought him in Febuary. the store was little but the other tanks looked clean so three stars. PS I wrote part of this review in my notes but wanted to see if he survied at least half a year before I actuallly posted it.

If you need fish and supplies, snakes, rats, mice, crickets, or even just questions, this is THE only place to go in twin in my opinion. The owner is very knowledgeable and takes his time to explain the creatures needs. Stop in and give him your business. You will NOT regret it.

I have been shopping with Exotic Guppy for over a decade. I have lizards, snakes, fw fish, sw fish etc and can get everything I need for my pets at EG. It's the only "local" place I have found that sells live food for snakes. I have always had great results with marine livestock as well. Will continue to shop here as long as it's in business!

The guy knows his fish, along with tarantulas, amphibians, and reptiles. We bought fish from petco and pet smart but loose 1/3 of em by the end of the week unlike this shops fish (we only lost about 4 or 5 out of 38). When we get fish here they last far longer and seem healthier then the others. Plus the variety is Awesome!

Good prices! Good selection of fish. Owner is always helpful. Shop is small and crowded but a little patients from customers makes it work. The place does smell like the rodents but it's not from them being dirty. It's what rats kept in cages smell like. Been a customer for years. Fish are always heathy.

Richard is very knowledgeable and direct. If you have tank or fish issues, you need to go here! Do Not go to the large retailers! Richard knows his fish! Large retailers have robotic answers they get from employee manuals. He's his only employee and been at it for years. It's normally busy and cramped but totally worth the wait.

Excellent place to satisfy all your fish needs. Want fish? They have many different kinds to pick from. Want fish accessories? They have many different items to choose from.... Out of the fishy idea they have feeders for your other type of animals, from feeder fish, mice, rats, to bugs. The owner has much experience with many different animals and can help you set up the perfect habitat for your creepy crawlers, or your next fish home!

Well maintained fish selection. He recommends and sells simple equipment & products that work well. If you are setting up a new aquarium I would recommend going here first so you don't purchase a bunch of stuff you don't need.

Went to buy some feeder guppies and was charged the price for fancy guppies, although the price tag said differently. Owner wouldn’t budge on the price. In addition, three of the guppies we bought died within 24 hours—and we are experienced fish owners. You’d get better prices and quality at PetSmart or even Walmart than you would here.

I had the best experience with the guy here at exotic guppy. I desperatly needed crickets for our bearded dragon and he was the only person in town with them. On friday i went to petsmart and they were out, wouldnt have any till tuesday and petco had medium ones so they said (they were small) and charged me $9 for 50 and half were dead! And they would only sell me 50! I was able to get 100 from this place for $9. This guy here at exotic guppy was very knowlegable and extremely nice with alot of info. I will go back here for my dragons needs from now on. He also stated he never runs out! Ty jesus for guiding me to this super nice man. ❤❤

When i went in there for the first time it seemed fine just a business selling fish/rodents/crickets. But ive recently had a problem with their rodents. I have a ball python about 1/2 a year old who now has mites from the rodents at exotic guppy. She is always in her enclosure and hardly comes out and she had never had the problem until i switched from petcos mice to here. I would strongly recommend not buying mice/rats from here as you risk putting your reptiles life in danger.

The owner of the store is very informational and helpful. The store may look small, inside the store there are rare fish. Believe me you'll be surprised. I asked Richard on how to clean a saltwater tank to convert it into a freshwater tank bv I haf a pH spike so she gave me very specific and helpful advice. Definitely RECOMMEND this store to anyone who enjoys the aqua life

I was very skeptical about this place when I saw all the reviews but decided to give it a try anyway. This place takes amazing care of their fish! The tanks were very clean and his reef tank had coral polyps popping up everywhere, which you only get if it is kept in perfect conditions. I tried very hard to find a sick or dead fish in all of these tanks but they were all immaculately kept. Even the feeder goldfish, which normally get the worst care, did not have a fish with sign of disease or a dead fish. They were all plump and we'll cared for which immediately made me have respect for this place! It does smell like rodents, but that is only because he has rodents in cages in the back that he also sells. I bought multiple snails and hermit crabs and one small scooter blenny, and the only problem I have had is that the hermits attacked one snail after about a month, which they do in the wild. This place has treated me great, even though it is packed most of the time and I will definatly go back for a long time!

Went last year to get items for a betta tank. Owner tried to convince me I didn't need to cycle my tank and said people online "will post anything to make a quick buck" or something similar when I tried to explain that I read you need to cycle a tank before getting any fish, which is just a fact, as most tanks should be cycled before purchasing a fish ( though fish in cycles aren't unheard of for hardier fish, I simply didn't want to go that route for my own pet as it can cause issues and I wasn't willing to take that risk )That being said, they had a good selection at the time, but I left without making any purchases as I did not, and still don't, feel comfortable shopping there.
