My wife and I walked in to this store yesterday looking for the food our pup is currently on. She's an Irish setter with a sensitive stomach and is susceptible to bloat if she's given a different food abruptly. We literally walked in and nobody was there. A guy came in about 20 seconds after us and abruptly asked "are you going to buy something". I proceeded to ask him about the brand I was looking for and he proceeded to talk down to us for 5 minutes about how no reputable supplier would ever carry that, etc, etc, etc. He didn't give any opportunity for us to explain or ask questions. Eventually I was able to get out that I'm more than willing to concede that maybe there is something better out there for our pup, but I was currently just concerned about abruptly switching up her food...then he continued his rant directed at us. My wife isn't confrontational at all and I could see her retreating internally and I didn't want to be confrontational either, but I was about to tell him how small he'd made us feel in the brief interaction. Luckily the phone rang as he was still berating us and we quickly just made our exit. I've never had an experience like that. I can normally get along with anyone, but this guy (owner) is something else.I'm more than open to finding a better kibble for my dog. We love her more than anything and she is a very happy, healthy and beautiful dog and we want to keep her that way. But just ripping into people who came in with pure intentions is off putting. Also, coming into the store before we've even been able to look at anything and asking us gruffly if we're going to buy something doesn't seem like a winning sales strategy.Not sure how long they've been in business but I don't expect this store to last long if he treats everyone this way.

My wife went in for advice on dog food. She said the gentleman who works there was very rude to her. We won't be going back and we'll buy our dog food from somewhere else. It's a shame, we love supporting the small town businesses.

I just love going in Kringles Korner in Star. They carry a variety of good to excellent dog foods from kibble to raw and a few in between. Owner is up on brand information and the staff, incredible. Patient and friendly but most importantly, they listen, and give such great advice. Pay a little more now, or way more later at the Vets office. And talk about variety, not like grocery store, Pet stores, so many brands, and so informed. You won't be sorry. The gals are amazing. Thanks everyone at Kringles, you're the best.

I only used this location because it was close to my son's and I was picking up dogfood for him.I always use the one located in Garden City. They are excellent, carry a great variety and prices are good. Give free samples so you can figure out what your pet likes best. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Wonderful way to support your local business community. Highly recommend!

The WORST customer service I've ever had ( second experience).The lady that helped me was rude and very condescending to me and didn't want to help at all in getting a good dog food for my pet. she told me "she knew more than a trained vet" after I explained my dogs needs and what the vet recommended, and was belittled me when I asked questions. I will NEVER shop at this store again. This is the second time I've been in this store and can't believe how rude these people are to customers.

First time in the shop. The owner was very nice. She asked about my dog, spent 20 minutes with me talking about the best food plan, very knowledgeable! One of the other workers spent 20 minutes with my friend doing the same thing forher dog. We came away with samples based on breed, digestive needs, energy level, and age. All of her staff was wonderful! Now it is a bit more expensive that Amazon but locally owned.

An extremely knowledgable Haley will help you with the right formula of food for Fido. It's not a big stand out so you might miss it if you drive by too fast. But take the time to stop by and you'll be impressed by Haley's knowledge of a dog's nutritional requirements. She and the other staff member, Beau, are most welcoming.

I don’t know why I kept going to the big box stores when these guys are right around the corner from me. I did go there today and it’s a treasure trove of all of the right things. Great prices! I thought a smaller store would be even more expensive but I was wrong! They were very helpful and informative. We saved so much money. And they gave Echo free samples. Echo loves free food. And I am so happy that we found a new store for all of our doggy food needs. They even said they could order his special food and give me a call when it’s there. We are new in the area and these are the things that make us so happy that we moved here.

I love this place! I recommend it for the great service, the knowledge they have and of course theres pups to pet 😍You can also get samples for cats or dogs and they walk you through the steps to do it so you know your pet will love their dinners!I've been going I think for two years now and I actually look forward to shopping for pet food now 😍

THIS PLACE IS THE WORST!!! I have lived in Star for 10 years and been in the valley for 30 years. I have been into this place twice now and after this last experience remembered why I never came back in. The staff don't know how to provide customer service. Instead of ever answering a question I had I received a lecture from a pretentious and narcissistic staff member. I would recommend NW Pets in Eagle, Zamzows, or 44 Livestock and Feed in Middleton over this place anyday.

Rudest people ever. Made me feel awful because I asked for a brand they didn't carry. Both adults had no personality and never smiled once. I had my granddaughter with me and she even asked why they acted like that. This experience ruined my day. I started out to shop at a small business and ended up feeling liking a bad pet owner..which I'm not. I will never, ever go back here again .

I have had positive experiences in the past at this pet food store. However, recently I brought my senior dog there and the store appeared to open and it was around 5pm. Door was unlocked and I went in. Large German Shepherd began to attack my poor dog and I got him out of there as fast as I could. The lady did not come out to apologize. It was extremely scary. Dont take your animals there if you are purchasing for your pets safetySadly, I will not return.

Good to know the owner looks down on a whole generation!"No one wants to work anymore" is a knee-jerk response to criticisms of poor working conditions and low wages used by business owners or managers who benefit from the exploitation of workers.It's actually kind of sad. They don't even understand what's happening when cognitive dissonance arises from their business relying on low-wage labor to maintain profitability..This knee-jerk response ignores the fact that many workers are willing to work, but only if they are treated fairly and compensated appropriately. By framing the issue as a lack of willingness to work, rather than an issue of poor working conditions or low wages, business owners and managers are able to avoid taking responsibility for their role in perpetuating exploitative labor practices.

I always buy dog food from these guys. They are very knowledgeable when it comes to the types of dog food I can actually feed, not just what you can read on the bag. They are familiar with dog allergies, skin issues, protein problems, etc. They will answer all of your questions, prices are great (although they won't tell you what they are over the phone, they are cheaper than anyone in town 99% of the time), and if you aren't sure if your dog will like the food, they typically have a sample laying around to share with you so you can take it home and test it out on your pooch. I won't buy from anyone else in the treasure valley, EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!! Only thing I would change is the location! I live in the foothills and it's a longer drive then I would like, but well worth it.

I wish I could leave no stars. These are the rudest people I have ever encountered working in a small business. I will not spend another penny in this store, I will drive right on by to the pet store in eagle. They are nice and greet you when you walk in. Actually appreciate your business. The short haired woman is so rude and choses who she wants to be nice to and treats other people like dirt. The owner has no personality and he is also rude. What a wining team . I will not support people that don’t even appreciate your business
