Our recent stay at Stanley RV + Basecamp Lodge in Stanley, Idaho, proved to be a delightful experience. The moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted by a park staff member, setting the tone for a hospitable and friendly stay. The RV park was visibly well-kept, clean, and inviting. The signs of ongoing investment by the owners were evident, which is always encouraging to see. It gave a sense of the park's history, combined with a promise of continuous improvement for the future. Our assigned spot was tucked amongst the trees, providing an intimate and pleasant environment. The beauty of the natural surroundings created a tranquil and peaceful ambience that made our stay all the more enjoyable. The park's facilities, including the bathrooms and showers, were spotless and well-maintained, demonstrating a high level of care and attention to detail. An added bonus was the provision of morning coffee, a lovely gesture, though guests should remember to bring their own cup.In conclusion, Stanley RV + Basecamp Lodge delivered a delightful RV experience marked by cleanliness, natural beauty, and excellent service. We enjoyed our stay thoroughly and would certainly choose to park our RV here again in the future. We highly recommend this place to all fellow travelers passing through or planning to explore Stanley, Idaho.

My son and I camped here for one night in late June. I was never greeted better by any business then by the wonderful couple during check-in. I owe an Ace Hardware store and have already told all my co-workers about my amazing experience. Bathrooms were spotless, a beautiful walk across the road and great view of the mountains from the upper level camping area. I'm already planning on returning with my wife.

Stayed in one of their campsites. Was very nice. They have done a great job maintaining the place. Showers and bathrooms clean, everything worked, first rate. It is not a large campground, and I think that made everything better.Nearby activities: Can walk to the river across the highway. Pretty easy walk, listen to the river, feel like you are far away from everything.

8/2023 - Warmly greeted upon arrival by Joe. Great Guy! RV park is nice, clean and well maintained. Lower tier offers a lot of tree coverage. Good wi-fi. Each pad has a picnic table. There is also a Community fire pit with wood supplied by the park.Restrooms and showers available. Both very clean. Laundry machines (2 washers and 2 dryers) also on site. Cost is $2.50 per.Good size dog park with thick grass available but requires leash as there is no fence. We had to move to the upper tier after a couple days. We found this to be more of an open area but with great views of the mountains to the south. Also provided with picnic tables.Unfortunately wi-fi was too weak most of the time in the upper tier. We still enjoyed the upper tier with the added views.Phone Service: If you have T-Mobil, do not expect much if any service until about a mile south of the park.

Wow, wonderful place. I rented room C and it was huge. It came with a little mini kitchen bar area and it is so clean here! I've been traveling for 6 weeks camping and in hotels. This place is like a haven! I will be back, it's that good! The area is Gorgeous. The photos you will get of the Sawtooth mountains in the morning are fantastic.(Remember to bring your own food or the Mercantile/Grocery store in town will rob you blind if you don't).

If you're tent camping & hiking near Stanley and need a place to stay with showers then I don't think you'll find a better place than this! The showers were so nice and the sink in the laundry room was perfect for doing dishes. It was a pleasant surprise to find a big pot of coffee outside in the morning. The tent sites were a little closer than expected but we really just needed somewhere to sleep. If we are ever back in the area, I would want to stay here again!

This is a beautiful campsite amidst a forest of trees and in the mountains. If you want an off-the-beaten path campground, this is a perfect choice. The staff is very nice and helpful. We were only there one night but would consider staying longer in a future visit to enjoy more of the amenities and surroundings. They have 2 washers and dryers which was a welcome surprise. They only charge $3 per load which is nice. They have two showers and toilets. The shower water got hot fairly quickly. The campsites on the back row are up a hill with a beautiful view of the mountains . I don’t believe those have full hook ups.The front row is down by the office and there are more trees. We stayed on site 16. Kind of odd that it has a cabin in front of it but we are in a van and we could go back far into the site so it didn’t bother us.I think next time I’d book a spot in the back for the Mountain View .

Super friendly and helpful staff. The location was very convenient to all that Stanley has to offer. It is a great starting point to more of what the Sawtooth National park is known for! We stayed for two nights as we explored and planned our next stop at Pettit lake. Also, the bathrooms have nice showers and are very well kept. The store was nice too.

We stayed in a small pop-up for 4 nights in site #12. The spot was perfectly flat with lots of shade. We did not connect to water nor sewage because we didn't need it. Bathrooms and showers were always clean. The owners, Joe and Lindsey, were great. Shannon was always working hard. The community fire pit was great. We can't wait to visit again!

We stayed for a couple of days and had a wonderful time. We had full hook-ups and used the group fire ring. The owners and staff are very friendly and welcoming and they keep that camp in tip-top shape. They also provide the wood for the group fire ring. The location is also perfect - we rode our bikes into Stanley Lake as well as into the town of Stanley. We definitely plan on returning. It was also a nice treat that they put out coffee on the porch.

Very nice RV park, quiet, even with kids plying. We stayed in spot #9. The spot was level and fit our 35’ class A just fine, along with our Jeep parked in front of it. Spot was easy to back in and pull out. We had plenty of shade and we’re directly across from the community fire pit. Even with being across from the fire pit it was still quiet when people were at the fire pit. The private showers, bathroom and laundry room were all very clean. Staff was very courteous and informative. We walked to the upper area, and the views of the Sawtooth mountains are unbelievable up there. Next time we will reserve a spot up there. Also viewing the stars up there would be great. We will return for sure.

Great location between town and Stanley lake. We stayed in the A-frame cabin which proved to be clean and cozy. The owners were very welcoming and even offered to bring us more firewood. Free coffee in the morning was a nice bonus too. Bathrooms are shared but kept clean, and the water is hot.

The park has new owners and they are wonderful from the moment you pull into the driveway. We were in spot number 10 which is a nice spot with a picnic table, shaded trees and a limited view of the sawtooth mountains. If you have a rig that’s on the smaller side, the upper level has great views of the sawtooth mountains. There are only a few spots for larger RVs and there is a little bit of a hill that you would have to maneuver. There is a communal fire ring which the wood is supplied by the owners. The laundry room has two washers and two dryers which laundry room was very clean. You can pay for the laundry with cash Venmo or a card you have to bring into the office. The bathrooms were also very clean. The owners could be seen maintaining the park all day long and we’re always eager to have a conversation and get to know their patrons. This park is about a half a mile to the entrance to Stanley Lake which is a really nice bike ride from the park on a little dirt path and follow the road to Stanley Lake which is paved and very lightly traveled down to the shore. It’s about 3 miles out of town which is very small and the shopping is limited and expensive. So if you’re headed into Stanley make sure that you stock up on what you need. However there is a market/gas station that has everything. The people in Stanley are super friendly. Don’t forget to visit the old ghost Mining town and also the Hot Springs. In case you didn’t know Stanley is one of the areas in the world known for its dark zone. My recommendation would be to take your car or truck down to Stanley lake at around midnight and you’ll see the most amazing stars shining so brightly that you’ve ever seen. This park is a great choice if you’re visiting Stanley and I wouldn’t stay anywhere else.

We stayed at the Whispering Pines A-Frame Cabin for a wonderful week in The Stanley Area. This excellent campground provided the perfect basecamp to explore the gorgeous Sawtooth Mountains. Clean grounds, showers and restrooms were way above average. Joe and Linsey the hosts were tops. A week was way too short.

Very nice campground and owners are very helpful and friendly. We have a 43 foot 5th wheel so we were at max length for the campground. We had no problem getting into our site. Great location for exploring the area, lots of hiking all around. Owners went out of their way to help us with a mechanical issue on our rig. Without their help we would have been in a difficult situation. Very dog friendly. Highly recommend.

I loved this private campground for our 5th Wheel; it's located right under the great Sawtooth Mountains. It's the most modern place I've ever seen with thoughtful design, layout and signage. Gorgeous bathrooms and super nice laundry. Very friendly and helpful owners -- Joe and his wife. Fabulous location, too!

This was an excellent place to stay in Stanley. Our RV site had a view of the Sawtooths and we had plenty of room to spread out. The bathrooms and showers were updated with modern decor, extremely clean, and easily accessible. The check in process was a breeze, and the camp store had a few items for purchase such as drinks, ice cream, and ice. The staff were friendly and they offer complimentary coffee every morning. Although not needed as we were enjoying our time away from the city, there was wifi and cell service available. You can be at Stanley lake in just a few minutes and in downtown Stanley about the same in the opposite direction. We will absolutely be back.

We were fortunate enough to rent the 3 tent spots that Stanley RV + Camp has available this last week. The staff/owners, the bathrooms and shower facilities, the tent area, and the entire property is top notch. We were so pleased with every little thing. Not one complaint from anyone in our party. We will choose this place time and time again for our trips to the Sawtooth area. Thank you so much!

We had the best time exploring Stanley, Stanley lake and Redfish lake on our way to Coeur d Alene andSandpoint. Joe and his wife were awesome host and worked hard to make the camp grounds clean and perfectly maintained. We had an issue with our sewer line and Joe was there within minutes of us calling him, fixing the issue himself. We understand things happen that are outside the control of the staff and were just happy they fixed it right away. But Joe went above and beyond, refunding part of our stay and also fixing a valve on my trailer while he was fixing the sewer line, who does that!? . Really unexpected service in this day of age. If you are looking for a place to stay in Stanley, be sure to book at this campground. We travel in our rv a lot and visit a lot of camp grounds, this is one of those you don't want to have to leave. Thank you guys for making our stay in Stanley top notch! We loved it.

Not sure how to describe my experience except "5 stars". I was in a tent site and the shade, plus the picnic table and electric, gas grill available for use and most of all the clean bathrooms, showers and laundry room close by were a huge plus. Just a few miles outside of Stanley, so if you needed a meal from a restaurant, or supplies from the village, all was a short drive away. Joe was awesome, the emails I received were helpful and friendly, showing me that he cared about my experience and wanted it to be positive. I cannot say enough good things.

Our stay at Stanley RV was amazing and something I will never forget! It was our first trip with our new A-frame camper and we traveled all the way from Northern California to come explore Stanley, with my Boise family. The campground had everything we needed and more! Joe and Lindsey are amazing hosts and are extremely accommodating! It is located in the most beautiful setting with bright pink sunsets and bright moon rises. (We had a full moon when we were there but I can imagine the starry nights are incredible!) There was a river/stream across the road that was a great way to cool off and relax or go fly fishing. The campground was very well maintained and the bathrooms/showers were the nicest I have ever seen while camping! They were very clean and they sanitized them multiple times a day They also have laundry rooms and a community fire pit. The front office had ice available when needed and freshly brewed coffee every morning along with some other essentials such as ice cream and beer. You really couldn't ask for anything more! It is just a short drive to Stanley Lake and a short drive the other direction to Redfish Lake and town. It is a great location and made for an awesome vacation with family. I can't wait to go back! I highly recommend this place.

The owners are wonderful. The camp is cozy and clean, busy, not overbooked. The place is well run. And CLEAN. I watched as the friendly lady cleaned carefully each morning and during the day. Never saw a mess of any kind. It's in a great location a bit out of town and that is GOOD. Beautiful country, a great place to stay, tent camping, small and larger travel trailers. Electric, water and power worked fine. They have worked hard to make this place just the best, fixed all kind of stuff in their ongoing remodel. Ice cream and breakfast if you want it. I could not have been happier.

One of the best RV parks we’ve stayed at. Not only do you have incredible views of the sawtooth around you the RV park is also taken care of incredibly well. The husband and wife duo that purchased the RV park a few years back have clearly put so much love and work into making your stay an enjoyable one. We arrived for Fathers Day weekend and were slightly nervous about what to expect since the park was at full capacity. All guests that stayed were incredibly respectful but what made the difference were the facilities for guests, not only were they kept so clean (bathrooms and showers) they were so well decorated! The check in office was also fully stocked with snacks, beer, and gifts for purchase. We learned that all the merchandise was actually designed by the wife who was also responsible for the very HGTV worthy decor throughout base. We can’t wait to make a trip back and recommend to anyone strolling through Stanley.

Wonderful camp ground! The owners were very friendly and helpful without being intrusive. Camp sites are good sized, and spaced out very nicely. Communal fire pit with wood provided was a nice touch, as was the coffee offered up every morning. The surrounding valley is stunningly beautiful, and the camp ground is close to anything one could want. We loved it!!

This is probably the best RV campground I have ever been to. Bathroom/shower facilities were incredibly clean and accommodating. They have washers and dryers for use, a common area with a fire pit, and a perfect grassy area to set up some cornhole. The location is also very convenient. Less than a half mile from Stanley Lake Rd. means you’re only a few minutes away from kayaking and mountain bike trails. I highly recommend staying here!

These folks went out of their way to make sure our stay was great! We were meeting friends who had two sites far from ours. No problem..we can walk back and forth. But without us even asking, Lindsey on Memorial Day weekend with an almost full camp, made magical changes and we were all able to camp adjacent to each other. Perfect. The bathrooms and showers were plentiful and spotless. Wonderful.

Very nice campground. Owners are pleasant and accommodating. Beautiful surroundings and close to Stanley for meals, fuel and groceries as well as fishing and ATV rental. We had a mechanical issue with the motorhome and Joe was kind enough to loan me tools I did not have so that I was able to correct the problem. I highly recommend this campground if you're passing thru Stanley.

Stanley RV was an excellent base for a week of working remotely. Everything was kept very clean and lots of nice updates. We got really good Verizon and Google Fi reception at a spot on the upper hill. The owners and the staff were all very friendly and were always checking to make sure we were having a good stay. The location was awesome for doing some biking & hitting up hot springs. I would love to come back and stay in one of the cabins.

Bathrooms were really clean. Coffee was fantastic. Close to Stanley lake where the fishing was great. The only downfall was they did not enforce the leash rule. Dogs ran loose and barked quite a bit...it was disappointing that no one gently enforced this. We had dogs running through our site on multiple occasions. Staff was super kind and hard working.
