We recently had the pleasure of staying at the High Country Inn in Stanley, and it was an exceptional experience! The hotel was spotlessly clean, providing a very comfortable, hygienic and cozyenvironment throughout our stay. The staff were beyond friendly, always greeting us with a smile and eager to help with any requests, making us feel warmly welcomed. The service was outstanding, with attention to detail that made our stay smooth and enjoyable. And the breakfast? Absolutely great! A delicious start to the day with a wide variety of options to choose from. We highly recommend the High Country Hotel to anyone visiting Stanley. It's a true 5-star experience!

All the staff were so kind and helpful! Our room was very clean and the perfect set up for two people. The location was walkable to everything we did and the views were incredible. We followed all the staff’s recommendations and everything was lovely! We will absolutely be back in the summer and will be staying there again! Thank you for the most wonderful stay!!!

I was at the Stanley High Country Inn Saturday, April 27th. I loved the Winter room for its spacious and relaxing feel. The staff were so sweet and punctual if an issue arose.I have stayed there before and was not disappointed then and now.Highly recommend staying there if planning a trip to Stanley.

Stayed two nights at the Stanley High Country Inn during late April shoulder season and truly enjoyed our stay. Fast and efficient check-in process; cozy and clean room with a balcony and great view of the mountains, starry skies. Got some perfect tips from front desk on local hikes and hot springs. Would love to come back when the kitchen is open.

This was an awesome place to stay during our short visit to Stanley! Everyone was extremely kind and very accommodating. We got there much later then originally anticipated but they were still able to get our room keys and directions to our room. The room itself was comfortable, clean, and warm. Also, the owner was one of the kindest businesses owners I've personally interacted with. All in all, my next visit to Stanley will 100% be staying here!

I'm in love with the High Country Inn and I want the world to know it!The brunch servers, Tara and Lara, make the experience so warm and lovely. It can be -20 outside, but their laughter, smiles, and clear joy make the brunch restaurant so welcoming. And best chai latte EVER. Seriously, in little Stanley. Also, the food is amazing. It would probably be my favorite restaurant in any big city. The room was a perfect home away from home, and you can't beat waking up to a view of the Sawtooths.

I stayed here for the month of January 2024, in Cabin 108, and had an absolutely wonderful time. Diana and her husband Ben, and all of the staff are exceptional and eager to assist to ensure your comfort. The cabin was lovely, clean, and functional. Kitchen, washer/dryer, wood-burning fireplace, etc. I worked remotely and no issues at all with wireless internet or VPN connection - flawless. Teams, Zoom, Outlook, etc. all worked flawlessly. Brunch was spectacular and I had the opportunity to try most things on the menu. Yes, they have an espresso machine! Big thanks to Tara, Lara, and TJ! And, I think Tara's brother was back there working the kitchen as well. All of the local folks are terrific. Plenty of support renting gear, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, hiking, etc. Oh, and the Elk and hot springs! Herds of Elk just wander into town. And, the PEACE and SILENCE out on the trails - nothing like it! Grocery store and gas station have everything you need, and there are a handful of lovely small restaurants as well, my favorite being the Stanley Supper Club. A time I will not soon forget, if ever. Big THANK YOU to Diana and Stanley High Country Inn!

Stanley High Country Inn is amazing. You couldn't ask for a better location. ( the view is awesome) the store, restaurants, gas station are within a stone's throw away. Whether you're boating , fishing, hiking, biking, etc, are within minutes aways.Booking the reservation with Teresa was a breeze and a pleasure to meet in person, she made sure my wife, my sister and myself had all that we needed. Check-in was a snap, Noel made the process so easy, she was very polite and knowledgeable, such a joy to meet, Noel even offered to schedule some private jacuzzi time for my wife and I. The cabin we rented was nice and quiet, everything you could want including a cozy wood burning fireplace. The free beverages in the lobby is a nice touch as well, way to go Stanley High Country Inn.Overall this was a great stay, we will be going back before the end of the year. An absolute 5 star rating....Best wishes and Blessings,Keith,Twin Falls, IdahoRooms: Very quiet, plenty extra towels and bedding, very clean and well kept.Nearby activities: Redfish lake, Stanley lake and a few other fishing holes, plenty of biking and hiking opportunities and don't forget to look in to some four wheeling.Safety: Safe location,Walkability: You can walk to restaurantsFood & drinks: Free beverages in the lobby was a nice gesture.

What an amazing establishment! We used to stay at Red Fish Lake Lodge every year but this year we waited too late to book and it was full. We decided on giving the Stanley High Country Inn a try and it did not disappoint. It's just a few short miles from Red Fish Lake in downtown Stanley. They have a complimentary shuttle to the lake. The rooms are generous. The bathroom in our suite was amazing with a double shower and soaking tub. The Inn has a hot tub that you can reserve daily, free fountain drinks, ice, the list goes on and on. Everything is within walking distance and the staff is so courteous and friendly. We found our new favorite spot. We will be back next year!

Edit: Finally got a partial refund, in the amount stated in the cancellation policy, on the room. It took over a month to get the refund. I had really given up on seeing any money back. I think the refund time frame should be listed in the policy to avoid low ratings. Original: Booked a room for 1 night. Travel plans were cancelled due to an unexpected event. Called to cancel already knowing that their cancellation policy is predatory. I checked every day to see if the room was rebooked and 3 days before the planned stay the room showed as re-booked. Yet my credit card was still charged the full amount of the room ($153+). Policy states if room is booked by someone else, refund minus a fee of 10% will be given. My card was not refunded at all. So either they got paid twice for the room or they pulled the room from the listing early because they already had my money. Either way I personally consider this to be a dishonest and predatory way of doing business.

We loved staying at the High Country Inn in Stanley! We stayed in one of the Cabinettes that allowed dogs so our pup could join us on vacation. We loved being able to reserve the hot tub for a private soak. The views are un beatable. The cabin was very clean upon arrival and it was lovely to have access to a little kitchen for meals. We could walk right down the road to restaurants and cafes. Highly recommend!

We spent one night here after two nights in Ketchum just to get a bit more of the Sawtooth Range. Teresa was awesome and got us in our room a little early. It was a very nice room! The cafe wasn't open so she made some suggestions and they worked. We signed up for the hot tub, which was lovely, then went and got a pizza from Papa Brunee's and relaxed in front of the TV. Couldn't have been better! Comfy bed. Thank you!

My vehicle was vadilized parked right in front of my pet only room. Was told no camera footage for those rooms. It was locked and the damage was the outside. Scratched and center caps stolen. Manager Jeff said it was my responsibility and if I didn't like the security to stay somewhere else!Did nothing to make me feel like an important customer.I definitely won't be back!It was a 2 night stay to celebrate my birthday!Safety: No security camera for my pet friendly room. Pet policies not monitored. Three dogs without leashes ran tward me and had to guard myself and dog.My van was vandalized with no way to find out who did it.Manager Jeff felt he wasn't responsible and to stay elsewhere if not happy.Very disappointed

I love Stanley. We have been coming twice this summer for years and only for one year during covid did we not get to go. This is my first time staying here and it was definitely worth it. My daughter my two dogs and I stayed in one of the cabins which was fantastic it was a corner cabin it had its own kitchen I had my own bed she had her own bed the bathroom was very nice we had a great cabin. My sister and her husband stayed upstairs and my mom and dad stayed in the Haarrah suite. That was an incredible looking sweet not only is there a jetted tub in there but there's an amazing walk-in shower that is absolutely gorgeous. There is also a king size bed a futon a private balcony it was very nice. Now I have to give major kudos to the owner and her daughter they were incredible! I booked three rooms originally right next to each other but on the second floor and then my dog sitter canceled so I was able to switch into the cabin so that my dogs could come. Then I thought about oh no my mom needs Ada because she has two fake hips so I contacted them again and was able to move her room! They had everything ready for us and the whole place was immaculate. I had contacted them and asked that my mom and dad's room be ready by 1:30 even though check in time is at 3:00 because we were only coming for one night due to my daughter's graduation but really wanted them to get to see the Sawtooth and experience Stanley. So rather than having just my mom and dad's room ready at 1:00 they had all three of our rooms ready! So we were able to check in with no early fee and my mom and them were able to just go relax my sister and her husband were able to go hike and I was able to get my fishing stuff ready. I definitely recommend coming here. The towels are very nice and they have a hot tub that you can sign up for which is also very nice and you can sit in that hot tub for up to an hour with a really nice view. The sweet also has an amazing jetted tub in the most beautiful walk-in shower I've ever seen. This is definitely a place you want to stay. We will definitely be back this summer. Thank you so much again for everything!Rooms: I feel I said plenty about how awesome the rooms are but my having basically had a full kitchen and it was perfect.Nearby activities: You can go hiking on many of the trailheads there are plenty of places to both River fish and Reservoir fish you can go swimming you can go white water rafting this place is absolutely gorgeousWalkability: The walkability is great just make sure that you choose a hike that you're able to accomplish. There are other places that aren't really hiked up there but where you can walk take your dogs and it is actually fantastic. The view is beautiful from just about everywhere.

This is a great place to stay! The winter suite was very spacious, we had family in the adjoining room, so we had a lot of room to mingle. The view was awesome & the staff was friendly & very helpful! We also found a battleship game in the dining area that kept us occupied!Safety: We felt very safe here!

Our favorite spot in Stanley!!! This is our second trip to the area. We chose the cabin instead of the hotel room and loved it!! Spacious, full of amenities, dog friendly, and quiet. Except for our backy dogs.... still puppies in training! Hotel staff is amazing and friendly. They are very accommodating. Couldn't ask for a better spot to sleep. Book ahead they tend to sell out quick. Restaurants and gift shops are walking distance. Plenty of hiking options. Redfish Lake has water craft rentals and a restaurant & guft shop near the marina.

The views are great! The lady manning the front desk was friendly and was a huge help. My girlfriend and I stayed 1 night and felt so welcomed! If you plan to work remotely highly recommend a hotspot.Rooms: The room we were in had a dedicated bathroom with shower. Warm water for how remote the location is!

This was the first time I book this hotel, and it exceeded my expectations. Fully furnished room, cozy space by furniture made from wood, very rustic and bold in mountainous areas. The hotel has a pet friendly room which is great for those who bring their pets out. Very private and quiet. The hotel is located in the heart of Stanley city, so it is very convenient for traveling, eating and refueling. The staff was very helpful in helping me out. Thank you for giving us a great time to rest.@duymongco@1mongolianbbqNearby activities: Sawtooth Traxx, LLC(Rental Snowmobile)Mountain Village Resort RestaurantGas station

Rooms were very nice, cozy, and comfortable. Management was accommodating in helping me arrange for check in when I realized that I would likely not make it in time when office personnel would be there. Pleasant experience before and during the duration of my stay!Walkability: Dining and market within walking distance, made it nice not to have to drive everywhere.
