We loved our stay in these charming cabins. The location is breathtaking, they sit along the stunning salmon river. The location sells it alone! The cabins are simple but very clean with comfortable beds, microwave, closet, mini fridge, regular coffee maker, and standing shower. Great service, happy to help with anything you need. Even if you don’t get a cabin along the river, there is a sitting area along the river that you can sit and enjoy! Definitely stay here instead of other busy areas if you want to get away and be alone to relax.

The view on the river is great. The outlets did not hold the plugs well, and a couple of other minor things. Nothing too serious. But, due the nightly rate, the first-world issues become more prevalent.Rooms: Various plugs did not affix to the outlets, GFI in bathroom was not secure to the wall box.Maybe some coffee creamer ?The bed was comfortable. :)

Would be good for a single traveler or a couple that doesn't mind staying in what resembles a prison cell. We were traveling with our 18 month old. My husband paid before looking in the room. He dropped our stuff in the door, and we had a quick look at the room, then we left to get some lunch. As we sat and ate we decided this would not be a good stay for us... mainly because it doesn't have a bath tub, therefore we would not be able to give our daughter her nightly routine. But also because it felt like a dungeon (not kidding). Would have been less stars but they did give us a 40% refund after our stuff was in the room for 1 1/2 hours. Ended up staying at the main hub and that was great for us!

5 stars isn't enough. They are very cute and quaint cabins in an amazing setting and beautiful scenery! But let's talk about something even better and that is world class customer service. We had a vehicle breakdown and they're typical checkout time is 11:00 a.m. we had to wait for a tow truck more than two and a half hours away, so they extended our checkout time. The manager on duty let us borrow her personal vehicle to go get food and supplies so we could make breakfast in the cabin while we waited for the tow truck driver. To say that she was helpful is an understatement. Absolutely amazing and very nice people.

Booked the cabins because my group was coming out of the wilderness from a backpacking trip and wanted showers. There were 4 of us and we told them we were arriving late. Arrived at 10:30 pm. Checked in. Didn't have enough towels. Asked for more and they still brought the wrong amount. Not the biggest deal I though. Then one in our group went to shower, only to find the shower not draining, filling to her mid calf, above the shower door, in less than a minute. She turned it off, let it drain, and though to finish as much as she can of her shower in the sink. Welp, you guessed it. Sink wouldn't drain. It took 3 hours for all 4 of us to get clean because nothing would drain, except for the toilet (luckily). It's the last think anyone wants when they're dirty from backpacking. Since it was late and they were at capacity, we thought we'd broach the issue with management tomorrow. We were gonna be in town one more day, so our group thought potentially we could ask if the problem could be fixed since the room was free that night, and we wouldn't have to move our bags. When I asked management if this was a possibility, he shrugged his shoulders and said on no, the plumbing is bad in 10. I can move you to 9 though.Basically, they sold us that room at full price even though they knew the plumbing was bad and the quality of the room was unlivable. And they tried to send us to cabin 9, which is attached to cabin 10, and might have the same plumbing issue that they refuse to fix!Buyer beware! Don't let them dupe you into paying full price for a room that doesn't work! Would not recommend.I like the charm of old, rustic cabins, but there were legitimate upkeep problems (plumbing included) here, and the inside of cabin 10 is falling into disrepair.PS: maybe keep some Drano on hand.

Amazing place to stay for a few days! Cabins are older but everything was comfortable. No TV but that was a good thing for us, spent the evening outside by the river. Be prepared to play a lot of fetch with their dog too! Only issue was bugs got into the room at night, mostly the annoying but harmless stoneflies. Would stay there again

I read the bad reviews and can't help but smh. Really people? Educate yourself with what an establishment does and doesn't offer for amenities. Still not sure, call before booking and ask. This place made our short last minute trip to Stanley so memorable and every time we want to go glamping in Stanley, we will look here first. Wish we had more than two days. The "backyard" of the cabins is about as nice as you can hope for at this price range, right on Salmon, you can hear it from the room with the windows open, bbqs, amazing views, quiet, everyone was really nice. The funny thing is, the owner has a dog named Titus, a sweet well trained puppy, chocolate lab, will come ask you to play fetch with him, great wide receiver that can make that over the shoulder catch in the corner of the end zone - if you've never owned a well trained pup and always wanted to know what's like to play fetch with one, well, it's one of the amenities that comes with the place ; )

(1) Our room was not ready at 3 o’clock for check-in.(2) there was poop on the other side of the toilet seat, and hair on the floor of the shower.(3)There’s no curtain over the window of the door that if anybody could walk up would see right into the bed.(4) Had to go beg for toilet paper because only a quarter of a roll was left in the room.(5) There’s no TV in the room. Which would’ve been fine if we were given a heads up to that. We literally brought nothing to read and only had our cell phones. I know we’re not there for the entertainment or the TV but after a 8 mile hike you just wish you could come back to your place and have something. You can only sit and stare at the river for so long.(6) there is no AC in the room. Which is fine. But there is also no fan, which in my opinion is an excusable. It was in the upper 90s when we stayed. It was miserable till 10 o’clock at night.Honestly it just felt creepy there. Anyone of these issues I could’ve dealt with. But the combination of all of them is like WOW. It’s too bad , this place has a lot of potential. It would probably be cheap and easy to fix all these issues. But I get the feeling the owners are cheapskates, and don’t really care to fix it. We will never make the mistake of staying there again.

Amazing location 🚣‍♂️🌲 and superb mattresses 🛌... But that's it for $250 a night.- Virtually Non-existent hotel staff: we had a leaking fauset, we looked for the staff to fix it but they were no there was no way to find them; they also gave us only 1 mini soap bar (for 2 people, 5 days), 2 toilet paper rolls and no shampoo.- Old and not in good shape facilities: The cabins are not in good shape any more (old, ripped curtains and mosquito panels, stained furniture, door with a big hole covered with duct tape, etc.)The place can improve a lot, it already has the location.I'm sure there must be better places for that price in Stanley 😕

Stayed here in mid-August. Perfect location. Spent the evening next to the river, watching nighthawks catch bugs over the water. The rooms are a little old, but you don't come to a place like this to sit inside. Don't be a curmudgeon and you'll love this place. I would 100% stay here again.

My grandparents stayed here every year since the 50s. I learned to fish at 6 years old 50 years ago on the river behind the cabins. So it was a blast to bring my sons here this summer. The owner was very helpful in finding us a room each night even when we’d have to switch cabins. The deluxe (tiny houses) are a JOY. #1 is the most amazing view of all the cabins. Sooooo relaxed after 3 or 4 sunrises here. I LOvE that many of the cabins are exactly like they were when I was a small child. I especially loved the views and sitting areas on the river in eve and morning. And my new pal Titus was a treasure. So glad we stayed here for a majority of our time in Stanley. Next time we will make reservations far in advance. The single king room was so spacious and comfortable us 3 on our Zero day after a long 4 day hike. Thanks so much for keeping this place like it’s always been!

Beautiful scenery. Excellent riverfront fishing and relaxing. However, one evening we were unable to sit along the river due multiple people that were not staying at the cabins occupying all the tables, chairs and open area. Apparently they allow LARGE family gatherings and don't require everyone to rent a cabin.

Way over priced for what you are getting. Room 12 hasn't been updated from the late 80's there is a hole in the floor were you can see out to the lawn. Shower leaks all over the floor. Hot water takes an extremes long time to arrive. A fan or something in the room would have been nice to combat the heat.

Beds really uncomfortable. Shower has dirt around the outside of the shower. Neighbors are noisy. Rooms are hot. The views are very nice and ample sitting places. Nice outdoor kitchen area.

Absolutely beautiful cozy cabin, most amazing view when waking up on the river with those incredible mountains so close. The lady that runs it is super nice, & welcoming and does way more then required of her.

Stayed at Redwood Cabins on a short 2 night stay a couple weeks back. What a great little property. Hiking was my main activity and it was so nice to be able to come back and sit along the river at the end of the day. If you are looking at wanting to stay at some posh overpriced resort, drive the 60 min south.....I'm sure Stanley doesn't want you in their town anyway, haha. Understated little cabins in an understated little town. Exactly what I was looking for. Can't wait to get back !

Cute 1950s motor court. Nice management. We found a dirty fridge and someone's shoe under our bed, so housekeeping needs some work. In perhaps the most beautiful place imaginable.

Great cabins and the manager and or owner was very nice, chatty and accommodating. Had full cell phone service (at&t) along with wifi. Clean rooms with a fridge, no TV, and a roaring river in the distance. Would love to come back some day.

Charming. Unpretentious. No TV's. Located right on the bank of the Salmon River. It was a warm evening. A fan would have been nice. Very dog friendly.

This is most definitely a wonderful family getaway to experience crystal clear water and enjoy a fantastic view of Sawtooth Mountains. If you love nature then you need to experience.

Absolute worst customer service experience I have ever had. I literally have never made a Google review (or any review) before, but this was so awful I wanted to warn people! I made a reservation for on a Friday for a room (my reservation was for the next week on the weekend). The following Monday, or 3 days later, my family (who had made a reservation close by for an RV Spot) was sent an email noting that their reservation was cancelled and a refund was issued due to a large, unconfined fire in the area. My husband, who is recovering from COVID and lung issues, agreed that we should not go, especially if the fire was nearby. I emailed The Cabins about my issue. No response. The following day, I called, and spoke to Greg. Greg said he wasnt in the office and would check into it when he got in. He noted he would get back to me to see what he could do - and seemed understanding. I tried to explain that either a refund OR credit would be great. We wanted to visit the cabins, we just didnt have our family to go with, and the fire was a huge concern. I waited all day - no call back or email back.I called Thursday again because I had not heard back and wanted to check on the issue. Greg responded and was immediately hostile with me. It was shocking - he was cutting me off and told me to call back the day after my reservation to see if the room was filled. I let him know that that didnt make sense, as we would need to know before the reservation so we could still come if we were forced to (if we could not get a refund). Greg said he didnt have time to help people like me and that I couldnt expect him to know the answer to this. He said “You cant expect us to fill the room immediately after you book it for so long then cancel last minute”, which clearly showed that he did not see that I only had the room reserved for a whopping 3 days. At this point, his tone was so disrespectful, so I asked to speak to a manager. He noted that he was the manager. Bummer.I knew I was getting nowhere with this. I let Greg know that I would be making a review for the first time ever, due to how incredibly rude he was. He immediately said “whatever” and hung up on me. It is so sad to see a business who only cares about taking peoples money (or atleast with a manager who does), and unable to adjust to any circumstance or even give someone the time of day. I have been in customer service for 3 years… and I know that I could NEVER talk to someone like that or in that tone! A “how dare you” moment.GREG is a horrible manager. I dont hope he is fired, but I do hope that there is someone who can explain to him how to properly talk to customers/people who are paying to keep your business open. Really sad - I was excited for our Redwood Cabins visit and now wouldnt wish my worst enemy to stay there or deal with them.

Great view but no air conditioning and no tv and no phone to call front desk. It was quite over priced considering the room was very small.

Beautiful location right on the Salmon River. Cabins are clean, no frills accommodations. Most with kitchenettes. Come here when staying in Stanley.
