What can we not say about this delightful place right on the Salmon River in Stanley? The rooms lovely and clean. We'll certainly go there again. Stanley in the winter is fabulous. We saw over a hundred head of elk! Snow on the Sawtooth fantastic and elk by the road laying near the old hot springs between upper and lower Stanley. Elk on the far side of the river picture from our balcony. We prepared a wonderful dinner in the very adequate kitchen nook. Cooked the chicken on the barbeque on the deck. Just wished we could have stayed a whole lot longer!Only problem was the parking on the ice and getting into our rooms in fear of falling. Had elderly guests with us. Workers at the establishment helped us load our suitcases which was much appreciated and unexpected. Everyone we met were friendly and helpful!

This was my husband and I’s favorite place to stay during our Idaho trip! The lady who checked us in was very friendly and helpful. She gave us a great print out guide with lots of info on things to do for the season. We ended up doing one of the recommended hikes and it was great. Room was clean and spacious. The fully stocked kitchenette was a huge plus. We used the propane grill to cook up some hot dogs and veggies. We saw elk and pronghorns up on ridge from the back patio! Pricing was fair. Can’t say enough good things about this spot and we would love to stay again for our next visit!

5 stars ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️For sure! The place was so clean and comfortable. The staff are communicative. It was such a nourishing stay, the kitchen is stocked with everything you need simply, the view of the river is stunning, the bed so cozy with a fire place. We were truly grateful and in love with our stay here.

Had a really nice long weekend trip to Stanley in December. We stayed in the king suite and it had everything you would need for a vacation. The kitchenette was fully stocked with utensils and cooking ware. It was quiet from it being off season, we had the entire building to ourselves one or two nights. Definitely would stay here again. Loved the sound of the rushing water.Rooms: Cozy but with modern amenities. Bed was extremely comfortableNearby activities: Hot springs, hiking, free pool at the saloonWalkability: Walk to stores was 10 minutes or lessFood & drinks: The mountain village was the only restaurant open but it was delicious for all our dinners

Stanley ID is Paradise. If you want peace and quiet and a place to relax away from people. This is the place. Our room was practically on the river. The back deck was a great place to just sit and relax, listen to the water ripples on the river and the see the sun glistening off the water. The room was clean and the nice little kitchen was great to prepare some of our own food.

We stayed 2 nights in Room 7. It was a cozy room with a comfy bed and electric fireplace. It was so peaceful there and the view from our deck was lovely. One morning we had a flock of geese fly by. The little kitchenette was handy with everything we'd need. We had dinner one night at the Lodge and it was fabulous. The staff was wonderful. We couldn't have asked for a better time.

It was cozy for the most part..however we did have someone just walk into our room without knocking one night claiming her room was flooding and couldn't get ahold of management even though it was around 6pm. The water was sort of "slimey", so we didn't want to shower. And its not very kid friendly. I wouldn't say don't stay there but if you have little ones, an airbnb might be a better option

We just stayed 3 nights at the Redfish Riverside Inn on the Salmon River in downtown Stanley and it was terrific. The deck overlooking the river was a great place to relax, take in the view and converse with other travelers. The beds were comfy and the small kitchenette was very convenient. Everything you need for a great stay. Stanley Bakery and Sawtooth Lucies were both good spots for local food and of course the lodge at Redfish Lake (sister property) had great food as well and you have to see Redfish Lake if you are coming to this area. Highly recommended and would stay here again for sure.

Spectacular! The deck off the room is right on the Salmon River so that’s gorgeous and worth everything. The sound is beautiful and relaxing. The rooms are clean and the beds are very comfy. nice The staff are so nice. I’ve been three times so far and I’ll probably go back. The Sawtooth Mountains are awe inspiring and the views and Lakes are everywhere.

What an awesome place. My room was huge, comfortable and very cozy. Everything was extremely clean and all the amenities were there. The best part was walking out the back door and sitting down on the deck overlooking the river. Perfect spot. Hint, if you have trouble sleeping while traveling, crack the rear window and the sounds of the river will make for a deep sleep!

The most wonderful place to stay!! Had breakfast on the deck with our new friends, the cows. Beautiful rooms and views and super friendly staff! Really cool to stay on the river and drive over to the lodge for hiking, canoeing, pontoon boat ride, and a really good dinner! Even though it’s on the highway, once you park in the driveway, you’re transported to a world in itself. My only regret is that we spent all our time on the deck FaceTiming the views to family back home that we didn’t take any pictures ourselves!!Rooms: Wonderful rooms that are spacious, but cozy. Modern bathrooms with a lot of hot water.Nearby activities: Great hiking and easy drive to Stanley lake. The lodge has everything you’d ever want! And really nice to get away back to the lodge for a quiet sleep and morning breakfast.Noteworthy details: Words cannot describe how wonderful the back deck on the river with pasture and hills across is. It’s an amazing treasure of a find!

What an incredible place to stay ! The river and mountain views will stay with me for always. Room was large, very comfy bed, great bathroom and service was very friendly and attentive. I can't recommend this slice of heaven in the small town of Stanley. Some might say the Lake is where to stay but I will disagree as for one in winter they are closed at the Lodge and secondly the ever flowing river will sell me every time, I hope to return!

My husband and I are often last minute travelers due to work schedules, so it’s incredible that we were able to book a riverside room here so last minute- there’s a reason this place had no vacancies when we visited! It’s right on the Salmon river, you have a porch with chairs to hang out on and just the most incredible views. If you stay here, make the most of your life by booking multiple nights, you won’t regret it.

Beautiful location right on the water! The rooms were nice and clean. We had everything we needed in there for us in the kitchenette. Beds and pillows were amazing too! The bathroom was very clean even better than hiltons I’ve stayed at! The staff was friendly parking easy and convenient. This is great place is great for couples small families a groups and even solo getaways. Dinner and breakfast on the patio deck is so beautiful and relaxing. The property owners have really thought of everything to ensure guests have everything they could want. They have a bbq available for guests to use. Lounge chairs with fresh blankets to use specially for outside at night. Really a great stay things are simple and humble and makes you feel like you’re at grandmas cool little cabin. I would definitely come back and bring my own guests here. This would be a great place to rent a few or all the rooms for a family reunion or wedding too!Rooms: Clean and comfortable!

This Inn has rooms with direct access to a deck that looks directly over the beautiful Salmon River. We loved sitting on the deck drinking coffee, listening to the flow of the river and watching the wildlife. The rooms are clean and large with kitchenettes for those who want to make a quick meal before venturing out to snowshoe, snowmobiling or hiking. We also enjoyed the location as it was near the Mountain Village Resort where they serve prime rib on Thursday and Friday nights. We were very happy with our stay and the supporting staff. Definitely deserves 5 Stars!

Visited this past weekend and stayed here. It was the perfect little getaway! It was so cute and welcoming. Had comfortable beds, nice accommodations. The only negative is no air conditioning, but we opened the front window and back door and it cooled down quite nice. The best part was the view of the mountains and the amazing sunset we had. The River 1 shop is right across the street where we could get great coffee and pastries, and do a little shopping. We also walked across the street to the office area where we could sit by the river and have a glass of wine. We absolutely loved our stay and would highly recommend.

Place was absolutely wonderful. Room was very clean and you can’t beat the views. (We stayed riverside) We loved just chillin on the deck listening to the river flow by with an adult beverage in hand. We were also lucky enough to see a heard of elk and a coyote across the river. I can’t comment on the service because the office was closed but our key was in an envelope taped to the door with a phone number to call if there were any issues. It is the off-season in Stanley so this isn’t a surprise. Also there are only a few restaurants open this time of year not a bad thing just be prepared. We are definitely going to make this a yearly trip. Great place to decompress from the weekly grind and recharge the batteries.Rooms: Very cozy and if we were there longer could have easily brought food to cook if you didn’t want to go out. Beds were comfortable and had plenty of blankets. Gets really chilly during the winter in Stanley so that is a plus. They also provide you with blankets to sit out on your patio to watch and listen to the river.Walkability: Easy walk to the small grocery store or to the local restaurants

The view was stunning! We slept with the window open to hear the river all night… it was so refreshing! The beds and pillows are clean and very comfortable. The little kitchenette was handy and we BBQ’d steaks out on the grill provided by hotel. Front desk gal was very kind and made us feel welcome. I highly recommend this place!

This place was better than I expected. Very very comfy and cozy. I slept wonderfully listening to the rolling water of the salmon river every night! The river is literally right behind the back balcony or porch. We were upstairs and had an incredible view of the river, the mountains and even a couple of elk that came down to drink water from the river. We reserved a room with two Queen beds and a room with a king. Both rooms were great, but the king room was extra special for my wife and I. We loved it. I would have even enjoyed sleeping on the balcony! Hahahahahaha! When I first called to ask a few questions regarding making reservations there, the wonderful lady that helped me went above and beyond what I was expecting. I booked a room immediately. Later on that day, I booked a second room. The pricing was way better than I expected. The service was way better than I expected. The rooms were way better than I expected. And the view was beautiful! I promise that I will be back again! It was a beautiful winter and our first time in Stanley

We were here the end of April. The views from the back balcony are stunning over looking the river. But the views of the snow capped Sawtooth mountains as you come out the front door are jaw dropping and breath taking! The room was cozy, bed comfy, loved the assortment of different firmness of pillows. The kitchen was well stocked. My only suggestion is to get a room on the top floor, we could hear our upstairs neighbors walking around until late and early in the morning.

I stay here every year for my annual girls hiking trip. I love the kitchenette that comes in the rooms. I’ve stayed in a variety of rooms and they are all very comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel. The views of the river from the back deck is super relaxing. This year we tried the rooms across the street. The balcony off the back has pretty good views of the Sawtooths and good for sunsets!

Stayed here in January 2023. Absolutely loved it. If you’re traveling to the Stanley area - it’s a must stay. The river in back and the patio were the icing on the cake. The room was spotless, and the fully equipped kitchen was a huge plus. It was a very affordable option, and I can’t understate how beautiful this area is.The staff were so friendly and accommodating. 5/5, we’d stay here again in a heartbeat.
