whether you want to stay or drop by and hang out by the lake, this is a really gorgeous and fun spot to be at. every member of staff was so sweet and nice and you could tell they loved it there too. doesn't feel like a business at all, just cozy and homey and everyone is happy to share it together. i'll come back when i can stand the commute again!!!

Beautiful location with a true dedication to preserving the rustic feel of a mountain cabin getaway. It would have been without a doubt in the cards for us to be repeat visitors, however, we had a HORRIBLE second night of our visit. We stayed in the main lodge which had reasonable accommodations and rooms that were well suited for the adventurer looking to spend their days outdoors and just have somewhere to rest their head at night. On the second night, however, my husband and I were woken up by loud teenagers/young adults (some of whom were staff) in the room to our right (Room 17) and yelling down the hall between 11:00 pm - 12:00 am. The room next us had 4 people who were loudly talking and would not tone down their voices despite knocking on the shared wall and the quiet hours curfew. They kept on for the rest of the evening until ~12:30 am. My husband had to get out of bed due to the yelling down the hall and ask the group of young adults to quiet down and respect the other guests staying at the resort. The worst part was that there is no one on call or at the front desk to help assist in dealing with these issues late at night + the fact that those contributing to the noise were staff that worked at the resort. Extremely disappointed in the latter half our stay here and the lack of care by the front desk the next morning when we recounted our experience from the night before upon checkout. If you do end up staying at this resort, avoid the main lodge at all costs. Do yourself a favor and rent the cabin without shared walls.

Beautiful lakeside setting in a rustic lodge setting. We came for dinner. The trout was excellent and so was the burger. This is end of season but reservations are always recommended. Great service in a magical setting.Food & drinks: Lamberts Restaurant.

Stunning place. We went for my fiancés sons wedding, the lodge is beautiful and the food is delicious. We didn’t get to stay at their cabins due to being booked but was told they are great.

I had a wonderful 2 night stay here - I stayed in one of the Fishhook cabins - it was clean, rustic and inviting. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom had plenty of towels and other amenities and I enjoyed a nice fire in the stove both nights while reading on the coach. The staff was very friendly and helpful - I will definitely return. Highly recommended!

The staff members (mostly teens and young adults) were courteous and kind! Talking with them was awesome. I agree (with the other posts) regarding the surrounding beauty and opportunities so readily available (rent boats, bikes, horses, swim, fish, hike). It’s a pristine place of beauty and peace! Good food inside and out.Kitchen and dining room on main floor with rooms upstairs. Surprised that there were no smoke detectors in the rooms, hallways… The building was built in 1929. A fire would be disastrous for both guests and workers! We stayed in room 18 on our first night and were awakened to a mouse chewing the plastic bag in the suit case (containing shampoo and conditioner) It chewed three holes through it (strangely enough). We got out of bed and zipped our suitcases up. The following morning there were mouse droppings on the white duvet cover. We mentioned this to the housekeepers the next morning and they sweetly apologized) I noticed a previous post about this same room and problem, which looks like an ongoing issue that really does need addressed for obvious reasons. Mice carry diseases. The bed was very comfortable, but not so nice when sleeping with rodents!! This was mice not bat poop. Didn’t get as much sleep as we hoped to because of this problem. The second night we moved to room 12 on the front side of the lodge. It was larger and beautifully decorated and also had a comfortable bed. We had no mice this night. The second floor is also shared by several of the employees (the room next to 12 was one). At 10:30pm their music continued to blast. We knocked on the door, and no one answered, but they turned the music down a bit. We felt we had no one to call for assistance. All the kids who work there are friends and we were unaware of who their supervisors were or how to contact them. No information or paperwork given regarding who to call if we needed assistance. Each room has its own sink and restrooms are shared (men and women’s).They were clean and comfortable and had great showers (which had locking doors). The only problem was the fan above the toilets (it was deafening)! (No idea of who to call about the problem either)The Adirondack chairs provided to the guests faced the lake and towering jagged peaks. Here guests relaxed and watched children play on the lawn and Sandy beach out front. The ropes under the chairs needed adjusting as most sagged in the middle especially deep.(Just trying to point out the good with the bad)I’ve added pictures of the rooms and bathroom. Room 18 is the log room.

We took the tour of the lake on the pontoon boat and it was really a great experience. We learned a lot about the area. A lot about nature in the area. How the mountains were made. The great there were a lot of hiking trails. That there were a lot of other lakes around the area. The employees we encountered were excellent and very easy to talk to . One of our favorite parts was that there was a dog beach. My dog absolutely love the beach. She got in the water by herself and she's never done that before. I think it was because she could see all the way to the bottom of the water because the water was so clear. Definitely recommending it for other friends and family.

Not what it used to be. Love the Sawtooth area but will find a different place to stay next time. Disappointed with guest services. We were over-billed for our stay and it was impossible to get an explanation as to why we were billed for certain things. There was a lot of back and forth and the front office staff was not respectful. I left feeling like management gauges their guests for every little thing. Overpriced for what you get. Additionally, the food at the gazebo has changed and it not what it used to be. Overpriced for not good tasting food.Food & drinks: The lodge food is excellent. The Gazebo food is not good.

The Lodge (3.5 hour drive northeast from Boise) is the ORIGINAL building from the 1800's which serviced outdoors people traveling in the Sawtooth Mountains. While there have been modern features added, such as electricity, a sink in the rooms, and nice community restroom/showers (think of your favorite gym), cell service in the entire area is basically none existent. There is wifi. The restaurant and bar are world class. It's kinda liked chillin on a cruise ship.Several awesome cabins have been added. The Lodge is a jumping off point for many back packers entering the Sawtooth Mountains Wilderness Areas, which are pretty much next to the facility.

Very, relaxing and quite place to regroup. The morning coffee at the lake is wonderful. The staff is so accommodating and nice. Brought me plenty of wood for my fire. The trails the walks very nice. I would recommend to put some type of in the tube or a safty bar. 🤔 I almost slipped in the tube, Thankfully I did not.; other than that everything was perfect, see you next year

Redfish Lake is my #1 place to be a “repeat offender” as Matt the bartender calls me. This is the chillest, nicest, most scenic place within an 8-hour circle of Salt Lake City, my digs. The people are not only the nicest folks you’ll meet, but are a well-oiled machine in delivering a resort-level experience with a 1929 feel, but in colour! Very reasonably priced. This is my happy space in my mind and once a year I get to live it. Come here because you want to unplug, and enjoy it. Throw the cellphone away and leave it in the car. You wont need it.Nearby activities: Tired of every watercraft imaginable, then rent a bike, or grab a horse ride, or put on your shoes and take any of a dozen hikes at all levels of energy/skill levels. The prototype for heaven got made here, then we screwed it up. It’s still preserved here.Walkability: I have to walk a whole 100 ft to get to the dock where I can rent any water-based object in existance.Food & drinks: What I consider a 4-star restaurant in the 1929 lodge, and a bar/grille on the sand outside. A little country store to the side for food and sundries. I get my year’s supply of gourmet marshmallows there. The bar tendies are awesome as well as the drinks.

I wish Google would allow half stars, because it was more of a 3.5, but 🤷🏻♀️. Anyway, my husband and I were thrilled that we were able to book a room last minute, because we had been trying to book a stay here for months. The location is great, close enough to the main roads, so it’s easy to get to, but set back enough that it’s nice and quiet. It’s also a quick drive into Stanley so that if you’d like to go to other restaurants or to the grocery store, it’s a quick trip. The lake and surrounding mountains are beautiful…! Such an amazing backdrop. The restaurant in the lodge was delicious, and the staff was great. The reason for the less than perfect review is that I’m reviewing the lodge itself, and it was quite underwhelming. We stayed in a Lake Suite, in the middle unit, so no porch, but that was okay since it was too cold to spend a lot of time sitting outside anyway. I’ll just put it out there… the rooms need some sprucing up. A coat of paint, and some new carpets, linens, and curtains would go a long way. The room felt dark and dingy, and the bed in our room was terrible!I hate to say it, but unless they upgrade the rooms, we probably won’t stay at the lodge again, but we’ll definitely go back to Stanley and the National park.

We just recently had the pleasure of staying at Redfish lake lodge May 31 2023 in one of the cabins for three days. My father who is 92 years young truly enjoys his time at Redfish lake lodge. Staff and and food was absolutely wonderful as always! This is our family’s go to place to unplug and relax. Thank you all for making our stay special and making us feel like part of the Redfish lake lodge family as you do every year! Thanks again,John EgglerUS Navy Chief RetiredFood & drinks: The sunset Cruze is worth the trip alone yet all the food at lamberts is wonderful and the root beer floats are the best I have ever experienced.

📢 Disappointed at Redfish Lake General Store 😔I can't help but express my deep disappointment regarding the changes at my beloved General store at Redfish Lake. For the past 35 years, my family and I have cherished our camping trips here, but we've witnessed a truly saddening decline in the store's values.Once a haven for affordable and delightful kids' toys and clothes, and souvenirs for the whole family the store now seems to cater exclusively to wealthy tourists seeking high-end merchandise. It's disheartening to see them prioritize profits over the average family like ours.Gone are the days when we could find something for everyone in our family without breaking the bank. Instead, we're faced with astronomical prices for basic souvenirs. A light knitted sweater that just reads "redfish lake" and it exceeds $90? Thats just one example of many. It's beyond what an average family can afford! What pains me the most is that the store's selection has dwindled down to only a hat or a magnet being within our budget range to remember our annual camping vacation. It's outrageous! We used to find joy in discovering unique and affordable treasures for our loved ones, but now it feels like they're catering solely to the transient tourists who stay for just one evening for music on the lawn at the Lodge.Redfish Lake General Store, you've lost touch with the community that supported you all these years. We hoped you would preserve the spirit of accessibility and family-friendly offerings, but it seems your focus has shifted. We yearn for the days when the store was a place of joy and affordability for all.

We rented a pontoon boat from the marina. We were really disappointed in the condition of the boat. It was filthy! Seats were dirty with paw prints all over the place and floors were sticky and really dirty. We were the first rental of the day! The guy who went through procedures at the start of the day seemed like he wanted to be anywhere but helping us. The guy who was at the dock at the end of the rental maybe said 3 words to us. Both guys made use pretty uncomfortable during the whole process. Redfish lake is a beautiful lake and seeing from the water was amazing, we just wish the rental experience was enjoyable.

We stayed in Fishhook Cabin #34 and enjoyed every minute. Cabin was equipped just as stated. No cooking on premises. Short walk to the lake, parking for two vehicles at cabin, and beautifully set just off the creek.Walkability: All amenities within 5 minute walk.Food & drinks: Limbert’s is truly exceptional for breakfast and dinner.
