Excellent food & surprisingly upscale and refined cuisine for a rustic lodge! At dinner we started with the heirloom tomato & burrata salad which was amazing. Entrees (gnocchi and pork red curry) were excellent and so was the Basque cake we had for dessert. For breakfast we had the French toast, biscuits and gravy, and croque madame and all three were great. Excellent servers both meals! Highly recommend. Only feedback is the pork red curry could have used a more generous serving of the sauce. There was barley any and it was delicious.

Stayed at the lodge for the past 4 days and ate dinner and breakfast each day at Limbert's.Every meal was fantastic! I've traveled all over and was surprised to find some unique delicious flavors in food such as their Local Mushroom Tart appetizer.

I just love this place, got a nice table with a view of the lake while enjoying a delicious dinner. Our server was very friendly and helpful in answering our questions to accommodate a restricted diet. My daughter has to eat GF and she claims this lettuce wrapped cheeseburger is the best burger she has ever had.

Ethan and Asher were both gems. We came in after a hike to have a cocktail and ended up hanging with them at the bar for a while. Music taste - PRIME. This bar is a whole vibe.

The food, the ambitious, the surrounding, everything is top notch. We visited during the busy week 4th July, but from receptionist to server everyone put sincere efforts in understanding our dietary restrictions and curated such yummilicious vegetarian delicacies considering our dietary needs.we ordered 5 dishes. A bit pricey but worth the money spent. We would definitely be returning for more such experiences.

Redfish Lake is amazing; the Lodge is amazing. But the dinner experience tonight was far less-so...several menu items were ‘sold out’…servers were overworked (on a slow night)…food was mediocre-at-best…and service fell far short of expectations. We were were looking for a special night and Limberts was underwhelming/disappointing. Bummer for us.

Loved the atmosphere and view here of the lake. We were here in July so it was quite busy but we were able to get seats pretty quickly regardless. We had the local mushroom tart, brussels, ricotta gnocchi, and the wagyu sirloin. The sirloin wasn't as good as everything else but I was not disappointed.I highly recommend the mushroom tart, brussels, ricotta gnocchi

I visited with my fiance last summer, and we loved it so much, we came back this year! We had a small wedding elopement (10 guests) and chose to do our reception dinner at Limbert's. We are so glad we did! The food was delicious, the setting is cozy and beautiful, the service was amazing, and our guests loved it! They were very accommodating, as one of our guests had Celiac's and they were able to do a Celiac-safe dish for her. The bar that is attached to the restaurant is also great! We hung out there after dinner, and everyone had such a fun time! It's right on the lake, so we were able to enjoy mountain/lake views as well. It's a cozy spot for a date night or family dinner!

Stanley has very few choices of restaurants to chose from. Folks at Limbert really care about what they cook and serve. Delicious food and very hospitable staff. I tried the trout and it was fantastic. Highly recommend if you are in the area

We love our annual trip to Redfish lodge over the long Labor Day weekend every year. Limbert's is something we have always looked forward to, so this review is painful but only to let them know that something needs to change. Let me start by saying the food was great. We at 2 times for breakfast 3 times for lunch and 3 dinners and the food was great!! The issue starts at the hostess....she is never at the podium....for huge chunks of time we would be waiting 10-20 minutes each time as we watched her stand in the waitress area....EVEN MAKING EYE CONTACT...we decided she would rather be waitressing....when she finally did come to seat us it was never welcoming or friendly. Once seated our water glasses were filled but once the order was in there were no refills until the meal came and we could ask for a refill....after that, not another refill until after the bill came. Even the Tuesday AFTER the long weekend the service was just as bad if not worse. Again, the food was delicious as always..but I will consider driving into Stanley just to have someone welcome me to the restaurant and stop by now and then to refill my drink.

I've eaten here quite a few times with my family. We've mainly only gone for breakfast, but that is, in my bias opinion, the best time to go. My favorite is their french toast(UGH so good). The restaurant itself is so cute and rustic, and a great cozy place to sit down for a meal. I've never had a waiter or waitress that wasn't friendly and warm. You can tell they really care about each customer's experience. And wow - has it always been a good experience at Limbert's.

The Redfish Staff truly outdid itself this year. We participated in the prix fixe dinner with wine tasting this past Friday 10/9/20 and it was some of the best food I've ever , EVER had. I've been coming to the Lodge for 25 years and each year things continue to improve, if that's even possible. Maggie, Kelly, TJ, Gabby, McCall & the entire staff are such a joy to see. Cheers to the Restaurant Manager, Mike Fuller, for another incredible year of amazing food and service. Love y'all!

The food is more than excellent. Fine dining in the middle of the mountains. Everything on the menu is sourced in Idaho and sustainable. Chef’s are highly talented and have created a delicious menu for everyone. We had the lamb and the pasta dishes, superb! Staff friendly and right on the spot. If you haven’t been I highly recommend this restaurant. And you can’t beat the view either!

Hello! This is a bit of a non-traditional review because I currently work as a server for Limbert’s. That being said, I can tell you with every ounce of honesty how amazing this place is. Allow me to share with you why I feel this way.For one, Limbert’s is literally in the middle of the mountains. Sourcing food isn’t exactly hard in general, but when a restaurant is lead by chefs who insist upon filling their menu with locally acquired product, it certainly is no easy task. Kelley and TJ have reached out to establish many relationships with local farmers and purveyors over the last few years, and the quality of ingredients definitely gleams throughout their dishes because of these efforts. Delicious fresh food can only come to fruition with delicious fresh ingredients: Little Cow Mountain Farms Chicken, Ohana No Till Farm Greens, Ballard Farms Cheeses, Eggs from McIntyre Farm, pastry’s crafted with flour made from Gaston’s Bakery...to name a few.Secondly, shoutout to the cooks! To have a kitchen staff return every year to get more and more fine-tuned in their craft is nothing short of amazing! Most, if not all, of the cooks started in the dish pit. But with dedication, they’ve come so incredibly far. Let me tell you: To go from dish to working the line is no easy feat. They’ve learned how to prepare freshly made pastas, every dressing and sauce at Limbert’s is crafted from scratch, and every lemon and lime squeezed fresh. Every piece of ham chopped by hand. Every fish filleted and deboned. Every French fry hand-cut, blanched, and fried. Every chicken cured for days. Every vegetable deemed worthy, washed, and prepared by hand. And at the end of the day, every corner of the kitchen is cleaned and ready for the next day’s service. Seriously, they care about their craft with every stroke of the knife and every pinch of salt, and it shows. The folks in the kitchen are superhero’s, they never cut corners, they put so much diligent work into every dish, and I’ve never seen anything like it.Lastly, some recommendations. Because the dishes created with these amazing ingredients and with the dedication of the people making them are truly phenomenal, I encourage you to come taste for yourself. Come in for breakfast and treat yourself to some Huevos Rancheros made with local huevos or Eggs Benedict made with freshly made hollandaise sauce. Enjoy that with a side of freshly squeezed orange juice or a vanilla latte made with real vanilla and beans roasted right out of Boise! Or come in for dinner and try the hand-rolled gnocchi with a garlic-cured egg and mushroom chicharrones. Or perhaps the spicy curry with braised lamb and thai eggplants? A cesar salad made with beets and a pepita/cashew butter? Or even a burger! It doesn’t matter what you get, it’s truly all so delicious. I would never expect this quality to come from a resort in the middle of the mountains, but alas, here we are! (The service isn’t bad either 😉)Again, not exactly traditional, but I wanted to share some knowledge that isn’t typically acquired when scrolling through the reviews of a restaurant you’ve never been to. I work here, and I am beyond proud of the product we put out, and couldn’t help but share! Cheers!

I’ve eaten here several times and it never disappoints! Prices are reasonable, and the food is exceptional. The presentation is immaculate and the view from the lodge is spectacular. The staff are incredibly friendly and know the menu and area very well. Their breakfast menu is my personal favorite with their French toast and Eggs Benedict. I would highly recommend eating here if you can

Extremely friendly from hostess to waitress as well as other patrons. Corn bread is to die for, lamb curry, steak, and s'mores were also amazing. Very pleased with such an amazing dining experience after a day running around in the woods!

Always such a great experience here in the red fish lake lodge. We had the bartender, Sky, working hard one evening with all the drinks we were ordering, but he gave us excellent service and the cocktails were just too good. We couldn’t get enough of his craftwork cocktails so we will definitely be back.

We had the WORST service we've ever had at a restaurant at this place. I was soooo excited to eat here and the service was horrible. The food was WAY undercooked. My husband got biscuits and gravy and had undercooked biscuits. I got an omelette and it was completely uncooked inside. SO expensive for the terrible experience. Our server NEVER checked on us. We had to flag down people every time we needed anything. So disappointing. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Spent a lot of our elopement time here, ranging from the appetizer cruise on the lake, to our elopement night dinner with family. If you have any dietary restrictions, they will gladly make it work for you. We will be coming back here many times in the future!

Awful service. Our waiter disappeared and did not reappear again until an hour later when I requested the check. While you might suggest that guests should just go with the flow (the waiters are youngsters on summer break!), that is an unacceptable excuse--and management is the real party failing guests if that is the case.

Delicious food, amazing location and a must visit when in Sawtooths. FYI there is no air conditioning so on Hot Evenings plan on visiting later when it cools down.
