Great dry campground. Plenty of space and lots of trees between spots. Feels very private. Each spot has a trailer spot and a tent pad. There are flushing toilets throughout the grounds and potable water spigots as well. I don't think any of the spots are directly on the lake but a short walk, quick bike ride or car ride down to the day use area is easy access to the water, very close. Red Fish Lake itself is awesome. Super clear water and gorgeous views of the sawtooths. Another nice thing is there are hiking / mountain biking trails throughout the campground. The town of Stanley is about a 10 min or so drive away that has some restaurants, a small mercantile and a gas station. Red Fish Lake Lodge is also a short bike / car ride away and they have aquatic rentals and a bar there along with a nice beach area. All in all, very nice campground and awesome lake. We will probably go back next year.

This campground is one of the most beautiful campgrounds you'll find; well maintained, clean, spacious with partial shade or full shade, the camp hosts, the Edmunds are doing a fabulous job at maintaining it! We were there over Memorial weekend, had spot#63 C loop and had a fantastic time!

This campground has very nice plots to rent with excellent facilities! It is a stones throw from the Goat Trail which has views that are totally worth the intense hike up to Goat Lake.

Nice and convenient to red fish lake. Too many inconsiderate generator users for my taste. What ever happened to piece and quiet in the outdoors? Replaced by people sitting in their campers watching TV with their generator blasting the neighbors.

06/27/21 I have changed my rating. I am filing a comaint against the campground concessionaire after our visit last week. This is a great Campground. The Campground hosts are phenomenal. Lots of Wildlife very accustomed to humans that will walk right into your camp. Keep your food picked up and put away. Beautiful views of the Saw tooth mountains and redfish Lake. Walking distance to the lodge. I'm giving this a three solely based on the parking issues and the forest Service as well as the campground concessionaire they make extra parking very difficult and having extra vehicles or people who come and go throughout a long-stay everyone has to be documented in accounted for. I get that they have to account for people but they make it very difficult for their Campground host to keep track with all the paperwork that's required of them. We have come up with a solution with the spreadsheet so that they know who all is in our group and what areas are we parking in so they know whose cars are who s. It is ridiculous that you pay $8 a day to park the car in the campground and then drive three blocks down 2 North Point Beach where you have to pay another $8 to park there or if you go to Point Beach you have to pay a another $8 to park there. The Operators at Redfish Lake Lodge are phenomenal.

Good base for day hikes. We hiked the Yellow Belly trail. It was hot for the time of year and dusty. But great views. It was busy in the camp ground. We left right before the loop was closed for the season.

Glacier view is the best camp if your not looking for a beach next to you. Short walk to everything redfish. Never like leaving!

Happy 2024. Glacierview CG will be opening by early June, due to remodeling of North Shore Picnic Area and the entrance to Glacierview. Please folks remember, this campground is 100 percent reservations and has very few cancellations and is extremely busy all year. Be respectful of guests and do not troll for sites that might come available. 2 very experienced, wonderful hosts will assist you and let you know whats available and when. Have an awesome summer and enjoy Redfish Lake

🏞️My family has been coming here every summer for the past 30 years and it is always been a good experience. The camping sites are spacious and well taken care of and there is plenty of room for anything you would like to do. The camping sites are on loops and it provides great circuits for the kids to ride their bikes or scooters or whatever around on. The sites are pet friendly. There are tons of hikes within a quick jaunt and the lake is perfect for playing in or water sports. Definitely one of my favorite traditions and one I hope to continue for a long time .

Red fish lake is such a beautiful place and we loved staying at this campground! We stayed in the C loop August 2018 and it was still an easy walk to the closest beach (which we swam at daily) or the lodge/beach (which we bought ice cream cones from daily). The loops were quiet from traffic and our daughter was able to ride her scooter around and walk to the tot lot easily. Sites are extremely difficult to get-I spent 3 weeks straight logging in every morning at the right time before I was able to get us a spot but it was worth the hassle!

I love this place but the campground is starting to look shabby. The bathrooms especially are looking ratty. The paint is peeling, there were spider webs in the corners and some of the wood has started to rot. It's too bad, with the campground always full I would expect the forest service to do at least a minimal amount of maintenance.

This campground is down a well maintained dirt road. Saw several black tail bucks and does and several flocks of Turkey on the way to the camp. Good views but we arrived late and had a hard time finding a place that was somewhat level. I like the proximity to the visitor center and the scenic drive. It made for a relaxing visit to great basin national park. The camp has water spikets that are spaced around the camp but they are not threaded.

We loved our time at Glacier View and are going back again. The site was clean, well shaded, nice bathrooms, and friendly hosts (2015). It is tough to reserve a spot as they go the day they are available 6 months early. Close to Redfish Lake, and a good spot to float the "river" between the 2 lakes, getting out close to the Glacier View campground.

This area in Sawtooth is so so so beautiful. The reason I am giving 4 stars is only because there are other campsites in this area offering better views/ access to the lake. Stand alone, this is still a very well maintained campsite and Wally the campsite host was very friendly! It’s a great place to enjoy the natural beauty.

We love Glacier View Campground! It is close to the lake and if you get a site on the outside, it's pretty secluded. Bathrooms could be spiffed up a little, but nice to have flushing toilets. Camp host is great!!

My husband and I had a prepaid reservation here last summer. We drove in, checked in with the host--both making small talk with him--and began setting up camp at our assigned site. I went to the bathroom for a few minutes while my husband continued setting up the tent. While I was gone, the camp host drove by and began questioning my husband about what he was doing here and asking him if he paid for the campsite. My husband is dark skinned and it seemed that the host thought he was out of place. I returned to the campsite, the host saw me (I'm white), said "oh, that's right you checked in" and drove away. Not a good feeling. We had a much better time at the Sunny Gulch campground 10 minutes north.

If you're one of the lucky ones who is able to beat the Bots and reserve a spot, good for you. Having two people online and watching the official clock hit 10 am and submitting two separate requests apparently isn't enough to reserve a spot. Horrible booking system.
