The customer service here was good, but the is the only thing this place has going for it. The first thing we noticed when we got into our room was how bad it smelled. The next thing was that the portable AC unit wasn't working. They did immediately come fix it, but it quit working again a couple hours later while we were sleeping, and it ended up getting very hot in the room. The cold water didn't work in our room it was either very hot or mildly hot. Worse of all, though, was I woke up covered in bed bug bites. The lady at the front was really nice, so I kind of feel bad leaving a review like this, but the place is a dump, and I would never stay there again and recommend you don't either.

I've stayed at ALOT of hotels, and this rates one of the lowest. The room was clean but dated. Sink had some lil specks of dirt in it. Carpet looked like my grandma from the 70's. Walls super thin!! A couple was fighting and yelling next to us, and we could hear it so loudly and clear that we had to ask them to knock it off or the police would be called. It was that bad! Would I stay here again? If there was no other option. I would look in Lava Hot Springs or Montpellier instead if you want to go cheap but not here.

Great place! Debbie - the manager - is super nice! And her dog is adorable. It was clean and quiet. Water pressure is amazing as well! Within walking distance from many places

Rates are reasonable and Deb was a lot of fun. Very nice and accommodating. However, the wifi did not work and the beds were super stiff. Great water pressure in the shower and very clean rooms. We even found a dryer sheet in the bed which made us feel like they were freshly laundered. I’d recommend for an overnight stay, but maybe nothing extended.

Debbie the manager at the front desk is amazing. The rooms we're clean and comfortable. When ever we needed any thing Debbie's daughter without hesitation got it for us right away. This was our second year we stayed, will return next year.

The lobby smelled like piss, the room had a funky smell, and the pricing was going to be more then the posted amount on line but they dropped the price for a discount which is why the 3 star. The water pressure is awesome in room 18. Air conditioner took a while to cool room off for the night. TV is small but it worked for our situation. The room was clean but I was concerned about the carpet and did not want to walk on it bare foot.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Was super impressed with this place... Smelled really nice when we walked in... Bed was very comfortable as well as the pillows... Very clean.. only negative I can say and really they can not do anything about is you can hear other people closing their doors... It is an older place but has been kept up so very nice! Them accepting dogs was why we picked this place... I would stay here again even if we didn't have our dogs with us. 😊

I am dropping four stars on this place although I know a lot of people aren't going to... My son and I were on a trip from Jackson hole area down to Utah and it was dark and we didn't want to try to get all the way over to Lava Hot Springs,,when all we needed was a quick spot to stay overnight... The furnishings are older.. Like 70s-80s...the TV wasn't a flat screen but it had an adapter so you can watch cable on the little CRT... The bathroom was spotlessly clean... They let us keep our pet there. The owners were also kind enough to look out for us when we were late getting there..and they put us in a room away from the construction crews that were staying there overnight so we had lots of quiet.. I'm going to say for the price I have no complaints at all..

Shouldn't expect much from cheap motels! Plus: (apart from the price) beds plenty comfortable, had a small mini fridge so we could freeze ice packs and that's always good.Minus: room stank of stale old cigarette smoke (likely very old carpets). The microwave seemed unsafe, it got very hot after use. There was also a very loud man next door who kept shouting at the woman/people he was with, they played loud music from the truck while parked and stood outside in the morning hawking and spitting on the ground - not the motel's fault there really but... ew.

This is a great roadside Motel. The sheets and pillowcases were clean and didn't smell old. Could have used a little more blankets but I always travel with my own. For 50 bucks a night you cannot beat it. I also appreciate a motel over the hotel. I parked right in front of my door. so if you're going to be in this area and you're not super pretentious this is a great lodging choice.

Have you ever walked into a hotel room and thought, "it smells really nice in here." Well these rooms are clean and well kept. The staff are friendly folk. Overall, a great experience.

We always stay at the JR when we come to Soda Springs. Good prices for a good room. They even have air conditioning now which is new in the last few years. Friendly staff, clean low cost alternative for lodging in this area.

Stayed for a few hrs then checked out. Neighbors seem to live on property and are loud and disrespectful. Lots of clutter left out by office door didn't feel my truck and trailer would be safe there. Hotel room was dirty out dated didn't dare to sleep in the sheets

Friendly staff. I was very satisfied with the room. The beds are clean, restrooms well maintained, basic microwave mini fridge and coffee pot. I would recommend this place to anyone. Pet friendly and they have a nice common area as well. Not too far from the geyser either.

We stayed at the JR Inn on the Sunday prior to the eclipse. The room was clean, liens clean and the owner was GREAT. My reason for 4 stars was the fact that the owner had rooms available, but DID not up his price. A big city 4 star it is not. But at the price , it ranks up high on the best for the cost. Great place with the owner there

Debbie and her crew are terrific! The motel rooms are clean, beds comfortable, and they go the extra mile to make sure their guests are taken care of.

Expensive, bed bugs, and I think is because the carpet, if you walk barefoot and climb up to the bed, that may be the reason of the bed bugs, and because they don't wash them everyday? The fridge was making a lot of noise and I had to disconnect in the middle of the night... why other people rate it with 5? We need to know for us to travel a lot...

Simple. Clean. No hassle. Straight forward. We booked the triple room, unavailable, we were given 2 adjoining rooms, same price.Dated and somewhat rundown.

This is your average small town non-chain hotel/motel... Let's be real, this isn't a high end place but it has everything you need for good stay... clean rooms, comfortable beds, cable, HD TV w/ USB, and it's quite. It's also a perfect road trip stop along Highway 30.As with all places like this, your experience will depend on your expectations... be real about where you are and you will find a hidden gem.

If you're looking to stay in the Ritz, you're in the wrong place. But if you want good value, a comfortable bed, and good small town service, then go to JR Inn.We come for the car show in soda springs every year, and every year we stay at JR Inn.

The hotel room we stayed in smelled funny, like mild dew or something. But we needed a place to stay in a pinch and the had rooms. The people that worked there was nice and friendly and even had a dog that would wonder around and say hi to everyone.

No AC, but very antique, old school, road trip vibe. Drive in movie theater with new release films playing right across the street. Great price! ($60) for the stay. Lots of water pressure creates a unique shower experience LOL!

The owner is so friendly. I loved the atmosphere and the placing of the motel. My husband stays here when he's in town to work at the shop, which is local.
