They don't respect peoples sleep at all. Even if you have the DND sign on your door or even if you tell them you work nights they are still inconsiderate and super disrespectful of peoples privacy while they sleep. The amount you pay to stay there should be enough for them to be courteous I wouldn't recommend staying here if you can find something else. And it's not a clean environment either

Easily the worst hostel I've ever stayed in. I was in a basement room, and the entire basement smelled terrible. The showers/bathrooms weren't clean at all, and I found it hard to generally feel clean in this place. It was loud at night, and loud at 5am. The place sucks, it's not clean, and in a terrible location. There's basically nothing nearby except for mining operations. You're much better off sleeping in your car for free in some BLM or national forest land.

Our greatest fear after reading other reviews was that the motel will be very loud. Staff assured us that even if the miners, who are currently staying there, will get loud, we only need to call the reception and they will fix it. We stayed at this motel for five days and I can honestly say that there was no partying or anything like that. Like clockwork at about 9 pm, everyone would go to sleep. The problem is, that the walls are really paper thin. So even though, they tried to be quiet, I always woke up with them, when they were getting ready to go to work at 5:30 am. You could easily hear them get up from the bed, walk to the bathroom and everything else. There is an option to stay at the basement room with shared bathroom, which is the cheapest option and the walls there seem to be thicker. However, rooms are really tiny and claustrophobic. What we really liked is the staff. We haven't had a lovelier service anywhere we stayed. So, thank you for taking care of us!

Stayed Summer of 2021.It was easy to find, we got in late at night and the staff was nice. The rooms we stayed in were in the basement with shared bathrooms at the end of the hall. I believe it was two bedrooms to each bathroom, with towels provided. Clean enough and quiet, we felt safe. Very cute place I loved it.

We stayed in the deluxe room that had 4 beds. It was very clean. The front staff was super friendly and helpful. Small little cute town. All the local food was great saw the geyser go off just down the street and had some of the free carbonated water in the park.I would recommend this place has a great cabin feel to it.Only thing is once you get there the heating takes a moment to start up, but they have space heaters in the mean time. One TV did not work in one of the rooms or we couldn’t figure it out. Anyway 10/10 recommend. It is near the train per other reviews but we were not bothered by it and slept just fine.

My boyfriend and I decided to stay here because the price was super reasonable. The bed is fairly comfortable. The pillows aren't great. The bathroom is nice size and sink is nice. Everything kept clean. Now for my thoughts on the place...When we arrived we had some food we decided to try and store in the mini fridge. It smelled like maggots or something died in there. The heater doesn't work. The walls are paper thin. Our first night our neighbor sat and talked on his phone almost the entire night. Then his alarm went off around 3:00am.The second night we stayed around 2:00am a group a men got into a fight and were shouting. They didn't stop fighting until around 2:30am. Woke my boyfriend up and he was super upset because he couldn't fall back a sleep. I felt bad for him because he spent so much money for this trip for a mini vacation just the two of us and it felt like a waste of money with how loud the other guests are and not getting much sleep. When my boyfriend went to alert the staff about the fight no one was there to report to.I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Unless you are just passing through and need quick place to rest for a cheap price.

To start off, they said that it was a newly renovated space, but it wasn’t. The whole lobby was torn apart and they were still renovating and doing construction (They started at 7am). Our room smelled like septic and they tried to use a wall plug-in to cover it up. and I know it’s not their fault but there was someone who, it sounded like, was moving the bed around till 3 o’clock in the morning and another person-maybe the same one, who was watching tv till 3-4am. The walls are thin. My husband could recognize what show he was watching (The Ranch).Best part of our stay was going to the little theater and seeing a movie there.

Wow, the inside of this place is maintained to the highest of standards. Everything is tastefully placed, it smells clean and fresh, it looks brand new. The interior is classic wood panel that was installed decades ago, but looks absolutely brand new.I am seriously blown away by how flawless everything inside my room is. Definitely staying here next time I'm in Soda.Thank you Caribou.

We booked the night some hours before we went there. The stuff was nice and drove out for us. I wanted to change the room we’re supposed to be in because our neighbor was snorting really loud. She was super nice and gave us the farthest room. If we would want to have our privat shower we would have to pay more, which we didn’t do. So the bathrooms which were available were both filled and gross. It was also not the cleanest but fine for the price. The room we slept in was clean, small but cozy, all we needed. Also a small fridge and a tv was there. In another room you could do your laundry if wanted.Thank you for having us!We would come again for that price.

The staff was beyond helpful & friendly. The room was clean. We won’t stay here again though. The property was filthy (bottle caps, cigarette buds & weeds). The walls are paper thin. It was miserable. You could hear entire conversations through the floor and walls. I had to go buy earplugs in order to sleep through the night because there were rooms that were loud all night long. The biggest issue for me was the fact that I hung the DND sign on our door handle and when we came back to the motel, after being out, our room had been “cleaned”. I couldn’t believe they would go into our room even though I hung the DND sign. This motel has SO much potential. Until then, we’ll stay elsewhere.

Super loud. The room was small but the beds were comfortable. That was really the only good thing. The walls were paper thin and each room has a screen door that slams shut. Doors were slamming, kids were shouting, people were outside drinking all night, it was insane. Maybe would work if you're fine only sleeping from midnight to about 3:30am but if you want more rest than that find somewhere else. I wouldn't recommend it.

Excellent price to value! I liked the hostel-ish style share setup; all shared spaces were clean and managed nicely. Perfect for staying on budget passing through the area.Minor changes for big improvement to the place would be adding hooks on the bathroom and bedroom walls to hang things, maybe a little shelf in the bathroom for setting toiletries.

The price is good, but sadly that’s the only thing that’s good. The walls are some of the thinnest I’ve ever experienced. I could hear every word of the person next door, until 3AM. The heat did not work. There were no light bulbs in the bathroom so I took a shower in the dark. The building is very old and creaky. As a super budget option, it could be great for some.

I had a great stay here. It was nice and quiet, if a bit too warm. We ended up turning the radiator off and opening up the window, even though it was around 10 degrees Fahrenheit outside. The room was cozy, if a bit dated, and my only complaint would have to be the shower/tub that was built for stick figures. It was quite a bit skinny in there. Other tthan that, the staff were all super nice, and the bed was pretty comfy. It was so quiet, too. It was relaxing.

Nutshell review - No A/C which made the room uncomfortable at best. I would not stay here again.Full review - Starting with the good stuff. Friendly staff and they called to let us know we had left our daughter's bow. We weren't able to make it during check in hours, so they put our key in the room. Now the not so good. The beds were comfy, pillows were not. Also, there was soap left in the shower... which made me wonder if the shower (and everything else) had been cleaned between guests. Since there was no air conditioning, you leave the window open with a box fan. There is on or off with the fan. Because the window was open, you had light coming through plus the noise of the highway. I hardly slept. We paid for 2 nights. You know it's bad when you only stay 1, and pay for another night at a different place.I didn't realize that checking to see if there was A/C was a thing. Now I do.

Zero stars! Filthy, the property isn't taken care of, and extremely small rooms and bathroom. There were groups of people sitting on chairs around the parking lot in a manner my kids didn't feel safe getting out of the car. The front desk employee refused to refund the room, despite the fact we were there minutes and literally walked in and walked out of room. Would not recommend!

NO AC! Poor customer service. The people directly above our room (32) was blasting the TV at full volume all night. It echoed into our room as if it were our TV that was on, and prevented me from being able to sleep. I called hospitality and they did not resolve it even though they said they would. The walls are paper thin, and it is the noisiest hotel/motel I have ever stayed at. I would never recommend this place to anyone!!!!! AVOID! AVOID! AVOID!(Note we stayed here with lots of family, and we all took up several rooms)

Better than you'd expect from exterior appearance. Old facility with some modernization. Clean and comfortable. SMALL bathroom. If you are more than medium sized you might not fit. More tv channels than most. Clerk, Joy is super nice. Best rates in town. Nothing fancy but gets the job done.

So I got the advertised price which was for dorm style rooms. Private bedrooms with shared baths. Check in lady was helpful. All cool. From the loud music reverberating this small below ground room without any air circulation to the running water in the pipes directly above my head to the rude wake up at 3am from some dude on his phone smoking a cigarette which the smell permeated my room in a matter of minutes. It was a rough night sleep. There is also no heating or cooling except the fan and space heater in the room.

When I reserved a room, that room was$45 , when I arrived, I was told that room is in the basement, and I had to share to the bathroom, then was offered a room I thought I was going to get, for $80 , a queen bed, and not much more, but reviewing my Bill, I was charged much more, not only for the room, but two days later, they charged my credit card for smoking in the room, I don't smoke,, they not only got twice as much when I signed in, but charged me for the smoking two days later. Be careful when you reserve a room with these people!!!!; And check your statement two days later , unbelievable!!!!!!

Very basic, clean accomodations. Two queen beds, bedstand, TV, small fridge and awesome air conditioner. Bathroom had very nice tiny sink and full size bath with shower. Everything very clean. My only dings ... There was no desk to work at and the walls did not prevent me from hearing all conversations in the adjoining room. I just turned up the volume on the TV untill I couldn't hear anything. 😉 I paid an extra $15 over the booking agency pricing to get the AC. IT WAS WORTH EVERY PENNY!!!

A retro-quality experience. Built in 1949, I can't compare this to modern hotels. We stayed in room 30, in the building on the left of the parking lot. A very simple, small room. Knotty pine used throughout. With both a double and a queen bed, the room was tight. Unfortunately, the mini refrigerator didn't work. I verified the power was on. We couldn't figure out if the unit over the bed was an air conditioner or a heater, or how to turn it on. I went to the front desk on a late Friday afternoon for help but no one was there. So we opened the windows and used the fan found in the closet. The bathroom was also simple. A single light over a small mirror. A 1940's era sink that constantly dripped hot water but when turned on, only gave a very small volume of hot water. The shower pressure on the other hand would have been useful to power wash my car.We wanted to check out and pay using a different card at 8:25 am on Memorial Day. A sign informed us the desk had been closed all day Sunday and would reopen at 8:30. At 8:35 we went to breakfast instead and returned to pay later.I saw one of the rooms on the first floor of the main building and it was roomier. For the price, I'd recommend two rooms rather than one room with two beds.If they hauled the broken concrete away from the back of the parking lot, gave the hotel got a much needed paint job, and added a few plants to fill the empty dirt outside the rooms, it might qualify as quaint.

Good prices, very homie, always clean, friendly employees and quiet. I absolutely LOVE this place! It's a personal favorite get away spot for me! Have been here a handful of times and I definitely plan on continuing to stay here anytime I need a one night get away. Also has pretty cool history behind it as well!Definitely recommend this place!

A rustic, dated, unpleasant experience. No air conditioning, spotty room service, and very tight quarters. They do have a box fan if you get too hot. Knotty pine walls. Good luck fitting under the shower head if you're over 5'9.

The owners were very nice and helpful. The location is perfect next to restaurants etc. The rooms are rustic and cool. Very clean and quiet. They will also let you cancel reservation if hunting trip is shortened because of getting game.

They didn't change the sheets in my room or my buddies. Infact, they forgot to clean his room all together. Light switch is connected to the fridge. Loads of hairs in the bed. Only a bar of soap is available and feels like plastic
