Safeway has been a great local grocery store. I really prefer mango Pepsi but I seldom find it on the shelf. I have never seen it in a cube but the 12 pack is scares. It is one of the reasons I go into Safeway. Get it together

The staff are helpful and friendly. They have a well stocked produce section and a locally grown produce section. They have a large deli area and a great selection of prepared dinners. This is a great store for visitors and locals.

One man specifically in the deli was extremely rude and began to talk rudely about me and my friend to another coworker while we were in front of him. Overall we got our food but he was visibly upset that we had gotten there before he could get all of his items out. We apologized and he continued to be rude.

Easy to find and open later than most stores in Sandpoint. Little pricey but can also have some good sales as well.Normally love the Chinese food family dinner, but lately hasn't been as good as in the past.

Has what we want usually. The bakery is almost always out of our favorite jalapeno and cheese bagels, and the wine selection of our go-to Washington Top Box Cabernet Sauvignon was not stocked literal for 3 weeks, or they couldn't keep it stocked for demand. We don't want the Red Blend or the Chardonnay, etc. Otherwise, they have sales on other staples.

One check out lane. You’re supposed to check yourself out.Not a good scenario. Other local markets don’t try to get the customers to work for them free.Also.. 15 items or fewer lane.. only lane open so people with huge carts full were in the lane to check out.. Took forever..Not going back.

The employees are the top employees around. They are most helpful. Very kind. Remember your name. Take the extra time to be a little more personal. Makes you feel like you belong there and it's a grocery store, so that's a crazy feeling to get in your local grocery store

Service overall is good.. deli Service could be better.. they are so focused on their morning chores to stop and see you need something.. waiting 5 to 10 minutes just to get their attention is far to long..

I love this little grocery store. The employees give off a homey neighborly vibe. It's so relieving and comfortable. I feel like less anxiety when I go into this grocery store which is the opposite of what usually happens so I really appreciate them.

Very helpful staff. Though the Deli Department is lacking in customer service. They treat you like it's an imposition to slice meats and cheeses. We have been told that there are meats and cheeses already sliced in the cold cases. That's not what the Customer asked for, though. Is it?Why is it a hassle to have the cheese separated by paper? They slice it and then stuff the bag with a clump of cheese that has all melted together by the time you get home, making it impossible to separate the slices. That's the reason we want the slices separated. We didn't ask for a clump of cheese; we asked for sliced.This happens every single time with the Deli Staff. I really don't understand what the issue is. But it needs addressed, and employees need to be trained on how to work in the Deli. We have had to illicit the help of management just to have our order prepared correctly.

I appreciate our local Safeway, it's clean and well stocked. Staff usually goes above and beyond answering questions and locating not so hidden sale items! Starbucks is a favorite stop, while I shop too. The Pharmacy is an additional bonus!!! My thanks to staff and Store Management alike!!!

The second oldest supermarket in town. With the first long gone now. Always great staff and service, it has a friendly atmosphere to boot.Pretty good selection of everything, large selection of decent wines, they used to be a specialized wine person as well to ask any question you might have. Don't know if they are still there or notOnly place they sometimes fall down is on their fresh produce? Super 1 is better consistently for that. Where they are different is As well as a full deli, they have a hot counter with"Chinese"food as well as standard corn dogs on chicken etc. The hot food is pretty decent, though you may want to check the steamed rice first If you want to make sure it's not crunchy. Consistency of that particular product seems to be an ongoing issue.

All was well up until check out. Then I was asked if I wanted bags. I asked if there was a charge for them, remembering my trip to Germany in 2010. I was told that yes, there was a fee of 8 cents per bag. I looked at my purchases which totalled over $200. I refused the bags. I had recently had spinal fusion surgery, and this massive purchase was for a charity event in Laclede. When I got to the car, I realized my error. As my foolishness in refusing to pay for bags hit me; I began to cry. No help had been offered by the staff. Happily a Good Samaritan lady saw my tears and offered to help me load my car. I am forever grateful to this angelic woman. I will never shop in Washington again.

Sandpoint Idaho is the bestThe people are all so chill and staff are real helpful they stop drop and check the the back to see if they have more stock the store is always clean I can’t say enough pleasant things! I travel to Oregon often And take batches while I’m there for couple months and the people are extremely opposite unhappy stressed out not helpful crowded how to stock just waiting to get off work but otherwise I love Safeway

Employees are very accommodating and friendly. Produce section seems to always be bright and clean when I shop once a week. Butcher is also outstanding of what I prefer for a specific cut of meat. Deli meats do not spoil fast like other store's. Deli personal are always smiling and paying attention to me when I am explaining something. Others I have found do not make eye contact and are doing something else while trying to understand what I wish to order.

Staff here is quite friendly! They helped with any questions I had. The deli staff was amazing! Very chatty which was a plus while waiting for the deli meat was being sliced so I wasn't just awkwardly standing there. Very fresh vegetables selection!

Great place to shop. Amazing prices if you have a club card and it is worth it because of the fresh produce and a wide variety of everything. The deli food is always delicious, and theres a gift and floral area, as well as a Starbucks inside.

Lines are too long. Friendly staff although a bit chatty for my taste. Good sale prices. Adding the self checkout has been a game changer for me. It's quick and easy to grab what I need and get out! :-)

Nice supermarket. Starbucks, bakery, deli, good wine selection, nice floral department. There isn't a great Chinese restaurant in town so many locals get their Chinese takeout from Safeway. Chinese entrees are pretty good, the family meal is a great value. Shopping here can earn you a discount on gas/fuel. Probably the most expensive groceries in Sandpoint but, if you watch the sales, you can get good deals here. Very nice floral department.

Always fast and friendly service, a great selection of fresh produce, a Starbucks inside in case you need a pick me up, and Chinese food at the deli if you are hungry. A wide selection of hot sauces for those "spice lords" out there, try out secret aardvark habanero hot sauce, full of flavor and a medium spice level. Pick yourself up some sour creme and favorite hot sauce and make a spicy cream to top off your tacos with!

They do have some decent deals sometimes. The one thing I hate the most, a lot of sale prices require buying multiples. For example, must buy 4 to get sale price. If you only need 1 or 2, then it's not on sale.

Super unprofessional. Showed up with girlfriend and secret shopper was staring at her with bathing suit on. I said something and he didn’t react. Came back in 20 mins later for forks and lady followed me through store I did nothing wrong. Just a pervy guy who got upset cause I stood up for me and my girl this place is horrible do not come here if you don’t have to

I would love to say how terrific this store is...but I can’t. I am a believer that the employees make up a store, and I have to say there are less than a handful of employees here at the Sandpoint Safeway that I find truly remarkable! The deli employees are the absolute worst, they have no idea what it means to put your customers first and half the time you have to shout out to get anyone to help you, they look right through you. Someone really needs to get some customer service trainers in here to spruce things up.

I bought a frappuccino at the Starbucks counter inside Safeway. The Starbucks manager waited on me, the drink was fabulous and the service was better.
