Absolutely amazing location with really comfortable and well maintained bungalows. It was an easy walk to the Dover City beach and a quick drive to Sandpoint for shopping and restaurants. A quiet and restful vacation. We will absolutely be coming back!

We stayed at #6, coast a while for a long weekend! Came from California, and the location was absolutely perfect! It is perfect for two people! Right on the lake, next to the gym, market, tennis courts, restaurant, and the boat/jet ski rental place. Was SOOO easy to get straight to the house after a late night arrival. I felt safe, very nice people everywhere and would absolutely come back again! They Have a beautiful picnic area on the lake for Dover bay resort guests, and a kid playground by the lake! Wish I would have brought the kids! A very very kid friendly place! the only downfall was, for the coffee drinkers, they have a coffee pot with pods of coffee for a cup or two. So if you need the coffee, bring a bag of ground coffee, they have the filters!!!!!Will def be coming back with the kids!!!!

We love the resort. We have stayed at this resort many times. Was very disappointed that dogs are no longer allowed on the outside patio. Per the manager some irresponsible dog owners could not control their pets and innocent people were hsrmed. The convenience was huge reason that we vacationed here. We will of courseStill vacation here, we just won't be eating at the restaurant.

Nice view, quiet and peaceful with a great sunset! Make sure to book the cabin that has a lake view or the sunset view, otherwise it’s a waste of money!

Came here in July ‘19 with my family and another couple- stayed in the cabins (which were beautifully finished) however it was one thing after another that all started with a blatant lie.Construction was going entire time, dust flying everywhere, construction workers yelling, ‘chugging’ beers in a circle right outside our unit, smashing the ‘empties’ on the asphalt by our cars, starting a cement pour for house foundation at 5pm. Driving far too fast where young families are ‘vacationing’. Pool was shut down for thunder/lightening when there was beautiful skies for hours, lights flickering on and off, no internet or WiFi, place was a complete joke.Close to $500 per night for this??!!Thanks for the note and the 200 pack of earplugs- where is the refund/credit??!!

I think this is our 4th or 5th time staying here. We have enjoyed nearly every season in this area and love it. Close to the water, quiet, warm community and lots of fun for the dogs too. We enjoy it a great deal.

We came in to pay a day pass for the hot tub and the staff was super rude immediately when we walked in the door saying they didn’t even know if they would give us one and we were accused of breaking the rules even though we came in to give them our money for a day pass and came with a home owner. They told us “you can just leave if you’re gonna look at me like that” after rudely asking how old we even were. Made us extremely uncomfortable as they laughed at us on our way out. Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced.

What a beautiful community! We did not book through Dover Bay, but made the mistake of booking through vacasa... don’t make the same mistake we did! There are so many more options available if you book direct, plus additional discounts that are available (military) that aren’t available through vacasa. Plus, If you book through vacasa there is no access to the pool, unless you pay. Storing a boat is more expensive if you don’t book direct either. Enough about that!My first experience with Dover Bay was when I called to Inquire about boat storage. I spoke with Patty, who was SO nice. Very helpful and very professional. She was the one that informed me about th e benefits of booming direct through Dover bay. When we finally got here for our reservation, Patty was just as wonderful in person. We actually referred to her as our friend Patty, she was so nice and professional! The grounds are beautiful, there is construction going on, but they don’t typically start until 8ish. The lake is beautiful, this is a sleepy lakeside resort. The little Marina Mart has most things available that you may have forgotten to pack from home! The little restaurant in the community is great. We had Colin as our server and he was awesome. The area is very clean, our cabin was clean and this area is dog friendly, which is a huge bonus. My only complaint is there aren’t enough larger homes for rent OR we just need to call direct next time. At any rate, this is one place I highly recommend and will definitely be back myself!

We rode our bikes from Sandpoint to Dover. The bike trail was perfect and an easy ride. Dover is lovely, right by the lake, and a perfect day to picnic.

Best food/drink experience in the Sandpoint/Dover area yet! I make it a point to come here every time I visit Northern Idaho. The staff is always extremely friendly, attentive, and enjoyable. The atmosphere can’t be beat! The lake view is perfect and the location is extremely accessible by bicycle. The food is excellent and everything is very fairly priced. I would highly recommend!

This is the most amazing place on Earth! We had such a great time there! The bungalow we stayed in was beautiful, extremely clean and inviting, and the bedrooms were wonderful. The pure air and gorgeous scenery make it a place that I never wanted to leave. Perfect memories were made here.I cannot wait to be able to vacation there again. My time at this resort was amazing. My husband and I spent 3 nights and 4 days there. The one thing that I was thrown back about was that their restaurant was not open for breakfast. They also stop filling take out orders at 5pm.

We drop by here often for a break. We've stayed in the cabins a number of times. They are always clean and comfortable. The dog likes to walk the walking path around the water.

We usually stay in the off season, so their restaurant is usually closed. But we stay for the peaceful atmosphere and when there isn't anyone around. It's right on Pend O'Reille River, not tell lake. But the bungalows have all the comfort and cooking utensils you need, plus a fire place to stay cozy.

We booked completely on a whim...and what a whim it was! Clean, friendly...quiet - week AFTER labour day. Beautiful setting. Staff was eager to help/serve. Safe setting, lots of ammenities onsite and those that weren't were close by..... Thank you.

While we had a positive experience last year staying in a condo unit at Dover Bay 9/2013, our last stay in bungalow 620 9/2014 was horrible due to a sewer issue that should have been discovered and fixed prior to our stay if proper cleaning and maintenance was the standard service level at the resort. Long story short - a nasty but undetermined smell was discovered to be seeping sewage in the crawl space under the unit. For $250 a night, there is no excuse for this lack of proper maintenance. No refund or resort credit was offered. Only a reluctant night manager who finally agreed to let us move to another unit when the sewer alarm would not go off and she could not possibly force us to sleep with the noxious smell. Follow up with the resort manager was equally disappointing. At this price point, some concession should have been offered for the clearly negligent maintenance of this unit. Look elsewhere in the area as there are many other wonderful places to stay in Sandpoint with higher quality units, better location, amenities and customer service - at similar or lower pricing as well.

Our family loves going to Dover Bay. We've stayed in the Cottages on the water, and in the Parkside Bungalows. Patty and the staff at Dover Bay are excellent and will do everything in their power to help when an issue arises. You can't beat the location and the number of activities on site. We will be repeat customers. You can also rent a boat from Sandpoint Watersports at Dover and they do a great job as well.
