Just want to give a shout out to Jaret at Ace Hardware in Salmon, Idaho!!I needed to buy a pet carrier today and not only did Ace employee, Jaret, show me where the carriers were…he even put it together for me!!! (Even at the end of his shift at work!!). In my opinion, THAT is GREAT customer service!!!Thank you, Jaret!!!!P.S. He definitely deserves a raise!!!

So we drove an hour into Salmon to spend $338 at Ace today on some supplies for a local company that we work for. Because it was so hot outside, we brought in our dog (who side gigs as a therapy dog for the elderly) while we spent an hour and a half in the store shopping for our large order. As usual, the employees here are so helpful and friendly! The bummer of the story is that while we were in the store, the owner made two huge signs that said “NO DOGS ALLOWED”, and posted them on the door. One of the other employees commented on this to us and laughed while we were checking out, saying that it was posted because we had brought our dog in. I can’t for the life of me imagine why a leashed and well behaved dog would not be welcomed into a hardware store... looks like we will be shopping at Lemhi Lumber and Murdoch’s from here on out!

I went to Ace 2 days ago to buy a hammer. When I got to the register, the cashier, Jordan - who appeared to be a young high school student - seemed pretty happy, smiling & even said hello to my daughter. I noticed after she'd rung up the hammer the price was different from that on the shelf. I told Jordan that the tag on the shelf said $6.99 & without even missing a beat she says oh I'm sorry about that sometimes it takes a while for the tag on the shelf to get change to the new price or maybe you were looking at the wrong tag. I went back & took a picture of the tag, which was correctly labeled, and brought it back up to show her. She just looked at me & said okay. Uh so I asked her are you telling me you're not goin to honor the price on the shelf? She flat out told me no!!! I couldn't believe how unprofessional and plain RUDE this girl was! I asked to speak with the manager, she rolled her eyes at me!!! Then called for her manager, Heather - Heather was very polite & literally had Jordan make 2 little clicks of her mouse and typed in the shelf price!I hardly ever find myself shopping at Salmon ACE Hardware, but when I do all the associates have been more than helpful & kind, but this cashier, Jordan was unbelievable! I could hard believe they had someone with such awful customer services skills dealing first hand with ANY customers!

This is a great place. im a painting contractor and they help me right away. Zack is the best in the paint department very professional and great coustom service Sara and Brittany are 5 star employees as well. To many helpful people to name them all. I had a pressure tank that would not work and I did not know why. I came to Ace to buy an air pump that I thought I needed to fix the problem. Then your employee, Dan stopped to help me. I explained to him my problem and he started to ask me questions to help determine the reason the pump was not working and what I had to do to get it running again. He took the time to explain how the pressure switch worked and then showed us on a new pressure switch just how to get our tank running again. It worked!!!!Thank you Dan! You were very patient and kind to two women who were in a dilemma and did not really know what to do. Thank you!!!Patty PetersenBecky Park

What kind of Ace store doesn’t allow dogs in? Drove all the way into town with my dog to get items for my project, and lo and behold NO DOGS ALLOWED. So I drove down the road and shopped At Murdoch’s instead. I’d even turn to Amazon before ever shopping at such a place as an Ace that doesn’t allow dogs. Every other Ace I’ve ever visited allows dogs.

This place is awesome! I always get what I need. If I can't find something... I ask a sales person! They know where everything is. Glad Salmon has an Ace Hardware. Prices are great here too. Employees are always courteous and polite!

Has eveything I need at good prices. Today I bought fruit trees. Every year we buy more for our property. Great selection. We've never had to replace any tree we've bought from them.

Cashier ignored my request to not physically handle items for purchase and instead give us the opportunity to hold up items for her to scan. She proceeded as if she had not heard a word I was saying. Not good customer service during a national and worldwide pandemic!

Our oven element burnt out, my wife took old one to the store so they could order one. It showed up a few days later , she brought it home, its not even close to being the right one. She took it back to store they charged her a restocking fee.A restocking fee because they ordered the wrong one!!! ? I will not step foot in that store again. And these people wonder why we shop out of town. Ordered right one off ebay for half the cost.
