If you are looking into staying here start calling right then and there, all day long, daily if you need. Website isn't helpful with making reservations, states to call so a bunch of us kept calling and calling the second we got our wedding invites (months before the day). After months of calling and leaving messages to make a reservation, I finally got ahold of someone and made a reservation. Was told I could call in the morning the day of to see if a room wasn't booked the night before so I could check in early and get ready (was helping at the wedding), called several times no answer. Stopped by before the wedding just to check in (got ready before the drive out there), nobody around. Waited for a bit but nobody showed, left. Checked in around 9, to find that my reservation was all messed up. Didn't have my name but another one listed that rhythms with mine, guess there wasn't a last name listed cause it was a long ordeal to check in. After a bit, ended up with 2 single rooms rather than the double I had asked for. Odd thing was I had a friend that after her calling for months finally got thru a few days before just to be told they were fully booked. However, I ended up with 2 singles. Weird. Thankfully it worked out but it wasn't fun and driving back to Spokane after being at a wedding wasn't going to be fun either. Rooms were exceptionally clean, enough pillows, flat screen, fridge and microwave, dresser, a few bathroom necessities, plenty of towels, room furniture which didn't match but that was OK. They had water bottles in the fridge, nice plus.

This hotel appears in pictures to be a welcome relief to a weary traveler. It is just. A star above the roach motel, only because we did not find any bugs.Though there was new carpet in the room, we were greeted by an overwhelming smell of smoke. The Ceiling was droopy in places. We closed the door and there was daylight visible underneath it. The air conditioning unit also had daylight coming in around it. You could put your fingers through the side of it, to outside. There were no headboards, the sheets were stained, behind the sink there was facial shavings from the guest before us. When I took a shower the hot water made an awe full noise in the pipes. Getting out of the shower I grabbed the towel, unfolded it and at once knew something was wrong. The towel looked like it had gone through a meat grinder, it was shredded beyond repair. Hoping for a good nights rest was even to much to ask. The hotel sits right on the highway and the single pane aluminum windows do little to muffle the sound of traffic and the trains that are outside. If I were you, spend the extra money and stay at a place that takes care of the people who stay there.

I stayed there a month ago and there are new owners and they have remodeled it and I loved it. It has a beautiful country setting and the rooms are spotless and clean! Thank you staff for being so great to us while we were there! Will only stay there when we come back! Thank you Holly fro going out of your way and your housekeepers were AWESOME!

Staying here tonight and I'm sure it will be completely fine but it gets 5 stars just for the interaction with the staff. The woman on the phone was polite, had great rates that included a military discount, and was accommodating with adjusting to our late arrival. Fantastic service all around, I drive to sand point every few months and will be staying here everytime I decide not to splurge and make it mini vaca in coeur d'alene.

I was stranded in sandpoint for three days and my stay was made infinitely easier by the two resident managers, Chris and Cali, who went completely out of their way to make sure I was doing okay and was well cared for. They showed absolutely unsurpassed hospitality, If you want to be treated like a customer go somewhere else, but if you want to be treated like family go to the Country Inn. Thank you guys again for all your help.I will definitely be making the trip to see them again very soon. 10/10 would recommend to literally anybody ever. Seriously they are kick ass people.

I was visiting a friend staying there. The bed had two broken wheels on it so it rocked side to side with every movement. The room set up sucked it was a really good sized room but the set up was so spread apart and seemed like just placed in the room with no sense of organization or comfort. The tv was actually a good sized tv but it was in the furthest corner of the room and tucked up on I think the water heater cover so it was hard to see the picture and you had to kink your head awkwardly no matter where you were watching from... But hey my friend said it was better than the travelers in between Wal-Mart and the car dealership in ponderay

We stayed here for a family reunion and after arrival immediately regretted the decision. Because one of our family members couldn't afford another hotel and to avoid embarrassing them we ended up staying. The rooms stink and the staff is sketchy. No matter the cost you will want to stay elsewhere. This motel is owned by a family that lives within the rooms. It is the equivalent of renting a trashy mobile home for the night. Situated right next to the highway guests can hear cars speeding by morning, noon, and night. We purchased Lysol wipes, spray, and hand sanitizer to try to make the best of it but we unfortunately still felt contaminated and dirty during our stay. Though the price is nice, you certainly get what you pay for with this one.

Excellent! This place is great. Stay here! This place is super clean. The staff go above and beyond.I stayed here, and at "The Lodge at Sandpoint." (The lodge is *Not* in Sandpoint, FYI. Its is about 3/4 to 1 mile down the road from this motel, in Sagle.)The Country Inn WAS BETTER! The staff, again, above and beyond: the place was clean, and everything [yes, even the "wait...whaa, lol" of older motels] worked! I can't say that about the Lodge that ain't where it says it is.If I was not expected to stay at the lodge, obligations and such, I would have preferred to stay here. This place is great.

The friendliest and most accommodating hotel owners that I've met in a long time. Comfortable, clean accommodations. Lovely country setting. Close to stores and food, etc. Would recommend and would stay again.

A/C did not work when it was hot and the heater did not work when it got cold. Bathroom door got stuck with me in there! Half of the electric outlets do not work. The place is dirty and dingy yet they saw fit to raise the prices! No real amenities to speak of. New management is part of the problem.

Worst place I've ever stayed. Front desk lady us very rude. Seems like the toilet might fall through the floor. It moves and the floor is soft. No phone, one working lamp, dirty gross carpet and again the front desk lady, ugh.

Don't stay here! Worst lodging experience I've had. Got there with a group of friends and had reserved four rooms. Two of the rooms we reserved already had guests in them, and then they found out they overbooked and one of our groups didn't have a room at all. We packed them into our room only to have the manager come back a couple hours later (waking us up after midnight) and tell us that they (magically) found a vacant room.To top it all off, they got the billing wrong, and the A/C couldn't keep up with the temperature outside. Horrible experience. Will never go back.

Finally after 50 years my first room with bed bugs. I should have been on alert, when you walk in your room and there is still garbage in the garbage bin. When I told the girl at the reception that I found bed bugs, she said the last time we had a problem with bed bugs was two years ago, the people who brought the bed bugs were not from this country, guess what I’m not form this country either, but you can’t see it.

Stayed at this place because it was convenient, but worth just driving into Sandpoint and paying more for way better hotel. This is not at all worth the price. Our room smelled really badly like pee and weed. Just a disgusting place.

The manager was thoughtful and easy going. The Inn itself is dated and needs renovation. There have been remodels that help - the huge flat screen tv, a large mini-fridge with large freezer and new tile in the bathroom (with plenty of hot water). The age of the building and decor somewhat confused me as to cleanliness which was not awful, but old wallpaper, etc, make it seem dingy. We do know the AC filter hasn't been cleaned for a LONG time because we cleaned it.

They have rvs parked out front but when you call and ask what rates are they say rv park is closed....asky why other rvs r there their response is there grandfathered in......glad the owner spent $10k/space for the infrastructure to let it sit there vacant. Must b nice to making so much money they don't need anymore

I have stayed at cleaner motel 6. The best way to describe this place is to call it a mobile home park minus the mobile homes.

Definitely bottom-of-the-barrel accommodations for the area. I think this is the only place in town that has monthly rates though, so thats.... something, I guess.
