My husband and I had a very positive experience with Orange Torpedo when we went for a full day of white water rafting on the Salmon River yesterday. Our guide Jade was great! We felt very comfortable with her leading our rafting experience and we are also very grateful she pulled us both back into the boat when we fell out on one of the rapids! We had a lot of fun and would love to return.

Maggie, Maggie, Maggie!!! The team of guides we had was Bronnen, Tristan, Nico and Maggie. Maggie expertly guided the boat I was on. This was 1 of 4 boats because it was a 3 day trip. The food was amazing and these 4 jumped in and played games and laughed just like they were part of our family. They are a well oiled machine. We were safe and never had a dull moment. So many amazing memories were made. Rose- formal night, Thorn-last rapid when we knew it was over, Bud- knowing we always have friends in Riggins Idaho and another trip planned soon.

Third time using this company, second time renting a raft overnight. Had a little bit of miscommunication and they expected US to return the raft... Management seemed frazzled and my husband called twice weeks before and got a return call the day before.Overall our first family rafting went superb and we covered 35 miles in two days. Kids are hooked. We'll have our own next year, no more renting!

A couple of glitches on the first commercial run of the season early on the six-night trip, but a great overall experience. The Orange Torpedo crew worked hard to keep everyone happy and safe even with temperatures hovering around 100 every day. Would like to have known more about the special nights before going on the trip—fashion night, talent show, for example—to make sure I could take part in the fun more. Food and beverages were more than adequate in quality and quantity. Liked the flexibility of switching out of the kayak and jumping in the raft from time to time as my physical limitations warranted.

Me and my family had such a blast rafting with Orion and Nico this past week! They were both professional but fun and kept us safe, informed and having such a great day! This was an adventure to remember. Our group was 7 families with teens ages 14-17 and adults late 40's-early 50's who immersed ourselves into a 3 day 2 night adventure. A "first" for most of us, some from our group were in rafts but most of us in kayaks. Our guides were not only experts on the water and shore but they were playful, great hosts. We learned a lot about the area, the river, and kayaking technique. There were some thrilling rapids and safety was top priority. It was a great mix of adventure, play and relaxation. Much appreciation and praise to all our guides (Noah, Ellie, Sarah, Emily, Brawnwyn, Anna, JRon, Cowan & Ryan) who gave us an unforgettable trip.

This was a very fun, single day trip - just my wife and me - while traveling through Idaho. We did the inflatable kayaks (torpedoes) in the morning and rode a big raft down the Salmon River in the afternoon. We were the only 2 guests on this trip, so we had the guide exclusively for us. I definitely would come back and book another trip with Orange Torpedos.

We just wrapped up the four day trip with our family of five. The trip was perfect in every way. We did know not what we we were getting into and the trip exceeded all expectations. Shout out to Scout, Mongo, AC, Ethan, Andrew, Eileen, and Cole (and bonus guide Opie!) for making this trip THE perfect family (off the screens) escape. We are officially hooked and will be booking again! For anyone looking for an adventure and bonding experience with your teens- this is it! Kids had a blast with the guides- nail painting and mud masks topped it off for our kids! 😜. The hardest part was leaving all of these wonderful people. They will hold a place in our ❤️ and memories forever!

Orange Torpedo delivers again! Despite a Forest Service closure of the boat launch for our planned Main Fork of the Salmon trip, Erik called us immediately with plans to get us on the river anyway. The trip was incredible and we are grateful they set us up for a safe, memorable, all-female adventure on the Lower Salmon. Thanks Orange Torpedo, see you next year!

The staff is fantastic! Our guide was great and really helpful with all of us first timers to white water rafting. He shared plenty of stories about the river and had lots of knowledge about all the rapids and the river in general. Great place for beginners to get comfortable with white water rafting!

My boyfriend and I did a four-day trip down the lower Salmon River on inflatable kayaks. This marked our second adventure with Orange Torpedo, having done the Rogue River with them last year, and we are already planning to return next year. Our guides -- Will, Ryan, and Andrew -- were knowledgeable, hospitable, and hilarious. As always, Orange Torpedo went above and beyond to cater to our dietary restrictions, treating us to delicious plant-based meals. Our lead guide, Will, made time to take us on side quests so we could see pictographs. He took the time to thoroughly explain each rapid and show us the best, safest routes. I left the trip feeling more capable and confident with white water and cannot wait to return!

Absolutely phenomenal! I was given the opportunity to take my team on the one day rafting trip on the salmon river through Riggins, Idaho earlier this week. Everything about it was outstanding. From the booking of the trip to how the trip was executed, it was all perfect. I've rafted that river multiple times with multiple companies and this experience was by far the best! Our guides, Dakota, Trevor, Frank, and Owen were great. They kept us engaged and entertained. Jim and Arron helped us by answering any questions we had leading up to the trip. Years ago I used to guide out here in California. Apart from that, I've been on one river trip out on the Rogue River in Oregon. Orange Torpedo Trips was a really amazing outfitter. Their knowledge and experience were impressive, and I look forward to coming back again next year. The proprietary inflatable kayaks they have were excellent and easy and fun to handle. Lastly, I was impressed by the speed and efficiency the staff set up meals and the like!

We went on the 1 day thrill seeker. Kayaks in the morning, raft in the afternoon. It was so fun! It was a little scary but in a good way. A few of us were tossed out but the guides were quick to scoop us up. The lunch was good and then we finished in a raft. So fun and we enjoyed the thrill of the Salmon River

I kinda wandered in when I was passing through town on a long road trip and these nice folks helped me book a rafting trip for the following day and even gave me camping recommendations (which were excellent). The day-long trip was a blast, literally, as I took many a cold water rapid to the face. We were served a delicious home-cooked lunch halfway though the trip. The guides and admins are a great crew. I would definitely come back and book another rafting trip!

We just got off the river from a four day trip on the lower salmon with our two boys. I can't say enough great things about our guides, A.C, Scout, Ethan and Cole. They made the trip a blast and were all very knowledgeable and highly trained on handling all the river had to offer. All the meals were great and the evenings hanging out were alot of fun. We made so many great memories and we're already planning our next trip, but only if we can have the same amazing guides. Here's a few tips for those of you planning on taking a trip on the river. Pack your daily clothes changes in separate zip lock bags to make it easier to grab things out of you dry pack. You really don't need alot of extra clothes in my opinion, but I'm a guy. Bring plenty of sun screen and lotion. Its very sunny and the air is extremely dry. Bring a waterproof camera or waterproof cover for your phone. By the way, there's no cell service and it was actually really nice. Bring card games and sports balls for evening games. If you don't take this trip then you're truly missing out on a trip of a lifetime.

This was a great experience. I loved the ease of booking online and the level of detail to read through to help decide which time of year and time of day would work best. They guides did an excellent job calming my kids nerves and helping them feel safe at all times. The kids say this was the highlight of their Summer. We did a half day, but are hoping to do a full day next time.

This trip far exceeded my expectations. My dad and I had never rafted before and this was an incredible experience. Our guide Anna was extremely knowledgeable and an expert. We could tell she knew what she was doing and we felt completely comfortable with her in charge. Our gear guy Jayron was great too. He got our precious items there and back in one piece, and dry too! The food! There was so much food. And it was delicious. Everything was great. The safety instructions, the food, the people, the rapids, the whole experience was top notch. And one thing the website doesn’t mention (that I saw), you sleep under the Milky Way and a billion stars! They should really advertise that part more because it was an added bonus. One sleeping suggestion: bring a travel pillow. They provide sleeping pads and blankets but no pillows. Overall, we had a wonderful time and I would recommend this trip and Orange Torpedo to anyone and everyone.

My wife and I just got back from white water rafting the Main Salmon and it was phenomenal. We met up with family and friends in Boise and set out on a plane ride to Riggins. The river rapids, the woods, and locations where we camped with others met and often exceeded my expectations. The guides were very engaging, helpful, funny, and kind the entirety of the trip.Kate, Tall, Ben, Kristos, Gabe, Abbie, Sammie, and their dogs were so good on this trip. Everyone on the trip loved being around them just as much as they enjoyed rafting and camping on the Main Salmon. I would do this trip again in a heartbeat and I would hope to do it with the same guides. I know that this particular trip will stay in our memories for a long time.

A couple days ago, I was at camp with a group of 24 people and we were signed up for the 4 day trip. I absolutely loved the guides. Ryan and Bronwin were our gear boat drivers who kept everything dry on the boats and knew exactly what to do. The actual boat drivers were Cole, the head, Dodge, Anna, and Olivia. They were all so nice and perfect with kids and very playful on the raft and knew exactly what to do. I would highly recommend all 6 of those rafters even though I didn’t get to meet all of them. I had the most interactions with Dodge and he was a really nice guy.Besides the guides, the 4 day trip was awesome. We stayed at some really nice beaches where we played some games, like football, and ultimate frisbee. The rapids that we went through were really exciting especially the Traps Rapid where we went around Cerchunck rock and everyone got thrown around the boat even the guide which is as Dodge that day. Ahem thank you Anna. We were all safe though and we had a great rest of that day. If you like water this place will make you love it. If you don’t like water, this place will make you like it.Overall, this place was totally worth it and I suggest it to everyone. Happy Rafting!

We had a fabulous time on a 2 day rafting trip with overnight riverside camping! Orange Torpedo was flexible and accommodating, allowing us to add an extra person last minute.The guides were were very knowledgeable and fun, but still safe. They thought of and brought everything we could need. The food was amazing. The guides hung out with us, playing games, telling stories and doing card tricks. They even made us a slip and slide! Super fun.Most of us chose the Inflatable Kayaks. They are much more physically challenging than anticipated. Our arms were like jelly after the first day! Again, Orange Torpedo was accommodating and arranged for us to switch to a paddle raft for the big rapids on day 2.Overall a great trip which comes highly recommended!

We were looking for a full day of fun on the river and we found it. Ellie, our guide, with OrangeTorpedo out of Riggins, ID was a great match for us. She made the day a lot of fun. My goal was for my 12-year-old son to want to go on a multi-day/camping trip next summer and she successfully piqued his interest and now we are PLANNING for Summer 23'. Having a BBQ lunch was perfect after working up an appetite !!! Highly recommend.

My family and the other families had the pleasure of spending 6 hours on the Salmon River in Idaho before and after Riggins, ID yesterday. The staff were fun and professional at the same times. Although the River at no times seemed unsafe to us in the raft, it was clear to all of us that our safety was most important. We had a wonderful time. Our guide Cooper was a joy and she was very conversational and fun to get to know. Highly recommend this company.

We had a group of 8 (two families) on a two day, one-night trip in August 2020. From start to finish, the trip was first class. The guides were not only professional but extremely engaging, anticipating our needs on the river and at camp. They entertained the kids, pampered the adults and made sure the river experience was first class.
