Phenomenal service. We welcomed 2 fur babies to our home. Bruce has been doing so well, he knows commands like sit, stay, let's go, come here, run, in, load up. He's so well trained. He likes to chew his collar. He's a Boxer/ American pit bull. He gets along well with my corgi. Now Chief WOW. Chief has a mind of his own. He likes attention, he wants to be number one, he's an Energizer bunny because he never stops. Once his nose sniffs he goes, he loves to run, play, patrol, observe, and he has a nice bark to him. Chief is a hound/ pointier and has nice sports. He gets along well with corgi and Bruce. Had to buy a kids mini swimming pool and fill it all the way up with water, these 3 get so thirsty after playing. I'm glad I adopted these 2 fur babies. Our neutered was covered, rabies were covered and it was the best experience I had from an animal shelter.

The staff that I’ve interacted with are always very nice, friendly and knowledgeable. The reason for the 2 stars is the shelter hours are extremely difficult to work with. For anyone that works throughout the week being only open on a few weekdays from 10-3 means you can’t go in. I think it would also be helpful if there was an option to hold an animal you were interested an adopting. To make sure this wasn’t abused the shelter could require a deposit which is only refunded if the animal is adopted or that deposit could be applied towards the adoption fees.

They take such good care of all their animals and truly have their best intentions at heart. Not one dog will feel unloved or a cat be left in its cage being sad. Truly amazing staff and establishment.

I rescued my best friend from here. He had been in a couple times before i came in. I called ahead to see if they were open and met a couple of the dogs there. When I saw my boy it was an instantaneous connection. So thankful to the team there. I was able to register him and microchip him as well as they gave us a certificate for a rabies shot at the local vet.

We picked up a very nice female cat. The cat is friendly and great with children.The staff was very helpful.

Had to get my dog registered with the city and this was the best place to do it. It took me all of 15 minutes. They just ask a few simple questions I paid $10 (only $5 if your pet is neutered/spayed) and I was on my way. I would recommend coming here to get your pet registered rather than going to the police station. One thing I don’t love about this place is that if you go to look to possibly buy a dog they don’t let you pet or play with them. I feel like that would be good for the animals to get to play with people but maybe not I’m not sure. I just wish they would let you play with them.

I really like this shelter because the cats have big cages and the dogs have big yards to roam in when the weather is nice. The shelter is nice and clean too. Only thing I would recommend is for the staff to be more friendly. They’re not mean or anything, but there isn’t a greeting when you walk through the door.

While the hours are very slim, making it hard to get in sometimes. This is a great shelter! They have a great selection of loving cats, all ready to find a home. The staff is very friendly, and very helpful.

I called this shelter in regards to my dog being missing. The ladies there were so kind, truly concerned about my little lab, made notes in case my little gal was brought into their place. I called today to let them know that my lab actually did make it home. To the ladies that helped me with my dilemma, THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart ❤

The web site states the hours. We left our town in plenty of time to get to Rexburg according to the web site customer hours. We got there the door was open. They told us “we are closed”. Look at the paper in the door. Not only was it not six it was Four and the other days were 530! No one will ever be able to adopt a pet They couldn’t be bothered to walk us back and show us a needy animal!

The staff was not helpful in my search for a new pet. They didn't explain anything to me unless I asked. Also they don't let you touch the animals... That's stupid. So I guess if you want to go somewhere to waste your time looking for an animal, this is place to go.

Was messy, it smelled, couldn't pet the dogs, or even see them upclose. Talked more to the volunteers, acted like we we wasn't even there. Staff had one friendly person. Won't go back.
