I love to stopping at Jake's. Have a post box there. There are some items including auto parts that you cannot buy in Canada, not even from an auto dealer like say a Chevy dealer. So if you want access to these parts you need a post office box at Port Hill at Jake's landing. I love to cross the border for gasoline. You know the price of fuel is always quite reasonable that Jake's. It is a family run operation and everyone is always very polite and friendly and helpful. For your American packages, but there's a small surcharge for the delivery but it's using negligible compared to the value of The item you purchased online. Many have not. Most retailers in the United States will deliver anywhere in the continental United States for free, and that does not include Canada. So they're definitely our benefits to having a post office box at Jake's landing. I did run into the. I have a couple geese big geese travel around their property. Honking, it's hilarious! I've had many people in Creston and tell me that there is no need to get gas at Port Hill that the price is the same, and I can confirm the dad is not true. The price is always cheaper at Jake's landing. So grab your passport. The people at Jake's are great and save some money, keep that money in your pocket. I fill up at Jake's and then usually at Nanton or Claresholm and I can reach Edmonton for $100. (Toyota Avalon) Pretty good value these days, especially if you like to travel like I do. Especially if you have a motorhome. I mean the savings are huge for any RV tourists traveling through the Creston Valley, it is only 10 km to the US border. From Creston. Save money and get yourself down to Jake's landing Port Hill, Idaho on the border.

picturesque campground!This is a picturesque campgrounds right on the banks of a beautiful river. I stopped here part of my Moto-camping trip to Jasper-Canada. Lars, the owner was such a kind hearted and helping person. I wish I could stay here for multiple days!Don’t forget to see the tiniest international airport!

Please add current hours for the parcel depot into your google listing - it would be really helpful!You can separate the businesses into different listings, if that would help make it clear that the gas pumps are always running.

Come on Creston help out these wonderful people at Jake’s Landing! They have stuck it out through Covid to hold our parcels and we need to help them get back on their feet again. I so appreciate their parcel depot, cheap fuel prices and delicious Tillamook cheese.

My husband & I went across the border to drop off a return and fill up on gas. A quick trip as he was on his lunch break. While he was filling up the vehicle, I went into the Parcel Depot with the package. Upon coming out of the depot, we realized that for some odd reason, our vehicle locked up 'with' our keys and our phone inside! This had never happened before. I went back into the Depot and told the girl at the counter. She offered us a slim jim to see if we could get it unlocked. No luck. We then called 'Triple A' who informed us it would be a THREE hour wait! I then noticed one of the back windows was open just a wee bit. We went back outside and tried every which way to get the door open. Burgundy (the girl who works at the Depot) came out with us and offered whatever she could to help. No luck. It was then that Burgundy's brother, Landon, showed up. (she had called him) He took charge and about ten mins later, the door was opened! We were so thankful and relieved. Turns out, These two siblings are the children of the owner. Great couple of kids who really saved the day for us. This is definitely a business we will continue to support. Thanks Burgundy and Landon!

A place just on the US side of border for Canadians to buy cheap gas and pick up parcels which American companies refuse to ship to Canada. The depot has a lucrative business with retirement Town of Creston just ten minutes North. US Dollar being so inflated didn't seem to have slowed down business but they now admit that their President and Canada's prime minister refusing to play together in the sandbox has put a considerable dent in their business.

I very much enjoyed my visit to the Porthill Mercantile. I was there to sight-see and make a video for my new Linda Travels YouTube channel. I fell in love with this store which is in a historic building that I hope will always be treasured and preserved. I would like to know more about the history of the building, as well as the restaurant building nearby. It is on a hill next to the Kootenai River - a beautiful, scenic area with picnic tables. The shopkeeper at the Mercantile was friendly. I was fascinated by the historic objects hanging from the ceiling in the store. This place is well worth the trip from CDA, just to see it.

Love to pop over the border to fill up with gas for 30% less. Strangely enough the CBP was really nice too deal with. And the CBSA is always good on the way back.There is also a little merchantile, a hostel, Big Daddy's bar and grill, and shipping/receiving outlet that handles UPS, FedEx, USPS, and a few others.

Great stop - don't miss it! You can drive or ride in & out by hwy tractor or bicycle, boat in or fly. Makes a good destination for the night or just a turn-around for a day trip.

Awesome service! Don't know where I'd be without these guys, I'd have to give up more than half of what I shop for online if I had to ship to Canada! Having access to a USA postal drop off point is a godsend!

Good choice to get cheap gas if you are in Creston and they also offer parcel drop service if you want to order from the USA. I have always found the staff friendly and helpful.
