Petco... literally the MartWal of animal supplies. You can get just about anything, and everything for your faminal (family animal). A lil pricey in some areas, but then they have things small cities, or rural towns don't have. That's what we go for. Otherwise it's a 2hr drive to the "deals" that you just spent your saved money on gas for. I'll pass for now. One thing though... I left a request for a certain dept to contact me a while back, and haven't gotten any word from them. They're usually not there anyways which is why I left the note. It'd be nice if the aquatics team would take care of their potential clients that want to spend their money there 🤔. . . I digress....still a good store. Btw did I mention they have small animals, amphibians, reptiles, and a full service grooming station?

The crew here in Ponderay are wonderful. If the higher ups can hang on to Kaleb they should do everything in their power to make sure he stays and trains all new staff. He has a wonderful attitude, is very knowledgeable and cares about the 'guests' of Petco. Angel was wonderful as well. I have other choices but choose Petco because of the friendly and helpful employees.

I became the unexpected foster parent for four cats and a dog. The Petco staff patiently explained how to survive the first week as well as suggesting what merchandise would make caretaking easier (including how to use the recyclable kitty litter bin.) Finally, they helped me organize the items for my car (photo of full trunk included.) I’m grateful for the kind staff at Petco.

Clean, and well stocked in dog and cat products. Birds and small animal supplies are minimal. They have live crickets and worms, unless there is a supply disruption. Best to have a secondary source if this is your primary supplier. Groom shop is fine, dogs must have vaccinations and no health problems, and no anxiety medication to receive services. Gretchen is great, does puppy training, although I haven't used this service. She is a customer service rep. Very helpful. Overall customer support is minimal. Probably not a good idea to apply for employment because they do not respond at all through their website. Convenient location. Price compare with local small businesses, as Petco does not use local suppliers, and does not have experts in-house (as many of our local vendors do.) On-line prices may be slightly better, but overall, their prices are high. They do have a reward program based on the amount spent. No veterinarian services available at this store.

What an awesome crew! Manager Chris was extremely helpful and pleasant. Following Chris, assistant manager Brian was just as helpful and it kept going with every interaction we had, including the cashier who had a crazy amount of knowledge about roaches and some awesome pictures of Geraldo, her 2.5 pound frog.Thanks Guys!!

I am very disappointed in the false information I was given regarding the Pet Care membership. I was told it was a $5.00 monthly fee and later discovered it is actually $21.95 that was charged to my credit card. I immediately answered the email to cancel the membership and was told I agreed to a 1 year subscription, so I could not cancel. However, when I called the Petco contact phone number, luckily, I was able to cancel. So, unless you spend a LOT of money each month at Petco, buyer beware!!

Mostly what I buy at Petco is crickets to feed my fire bellied toads that I also bought there. I have always gotten great service and my frogs are happy with the crickets.

Always have supplies needed for our many pets. Dog food cost now is insanity at $70 + for 40 pounds, but with vital care rewards program we do save significantly.

Colton was the most wonderful and friendly help I have had for a long time.He really went out of his way to make sure I was getting what I would require for my purchase and knowledge to go with it.He helped me figure out assembly before I left and made sure everything was there as we questioned the last box available looking like it had been opened.A dying breed amongst the younger generation.. I really appreciated his kindness and help.

Great people. My only complaint is that grooming opens at 8am and the main store 9am so doors are locked and no way to get in unless you are able get ahold of them and have them let you in.

The store could do better but corporate shoots themselves in the foot at this location.When they get skilled workers they put stipulations on them to keep them from being successful which also causes stress in the work environment.They're constantly rotating staff because of this and I'm sure other factors.At least in the fish department they are unable to get as many orders as the Hayden location due to sales performance, so I'm sure many locals make the trip to Hayden to find better diversity.Pros:Great staff that care.Cons:Staff is under paid.Skilled workers get recognized by staff and pressured by corporate.Staff is unable to get many orders that Hayden can because the store doesn't make the some amount of income as the Hayden location.(Income generated determines things that can and can't be successfully ordered to the location)PetCo only cares about how much they make.Granted it's a business but caring about your clients and their pets goes hand and hand with this kind of business and this location struggles due to corporate policies and lack of diversity due to the higher income at other locations.

The groomer was nice, but when I dropped off my dog for a grooming at 9am, she told me it would be 2hrs. I didn't get her till 3:50pm! She did a nice job but did a few dogs instead of mine and I had to return with 3 young kids and wait in car for 45 minutes before she had my dog done!!!

I thought it was bad enough when the clerk had a snake around her neck when I was there last time ( snake phobias are common) but now they charge 10cents for every bag. Yep “petco is for animals. And bags in the ocean kill animals”- said the clerk. You are just cutting costs- who are you kidding. If you cared about animals you wouldnt sell animals and be part of that cruelty trade. You are just corporate greed dressed up pretending to be green. I will never be back.

Scheduling online did not allow me to book my two collies simultaneously. I called the store and Without hesitating Cally scheduled them at same time. I live an hour away so this was a huge customer service move for Petco. Cally and team did a great job with my border collies!!

I wish the store was cleaned on a regular basis, as well as they ordered enough crickets to feed the need for our area! Throughout the years I have had several issues with rude staffing, or ignorant team members when inquiring about products or pets. We need Christian back!
