Prices are way to high at this location compared to other goodwill like for a example a unopened Walmart brand moulth wash doing the math it was 3.50 cents more expensive at this good will found a great pair of American egal jeans and latter to find out they were 2.00 cheaper New bought a toaster here pluged it in and it started to smoke and spark

Nice clean store with friendly staff. They do have some items that are new but they are priced as newThe benefit is that the profits go to help local charities. The washrooms are clean and they do have wheelchair accessible washrooms.

Prices are sometimes ridiculous.I’ve seen a pair of jeans for my daughter for 9.99. I have noticed the prices are getting a bit better on some things. I’ve had nothing but positive experience with the staff. I just wish the pricing was better because I’m very low income and disabled. I go there to save money.But I'm happy that there is always something to buy there. I have found some awesome treasures. My kids love the toy section

I have been becoming increasingly frustrated with Goodwill. I have donated a lot over the years and usually round up my purchases for the over-all good they claim to do, but I'm becoming more and more weary of how ethical this place really is. Their prices keep increasing and sometimes they charge more for items than they cost new in the box stores down the road. Today I went shopping with my father on Monday because it's our tradition to go together every now and then because I get my student discounts and he gets his senior discounts. I didn't have my student ID on me so they wouldn't let me get my student discount but my dad never had to show proof that he was a senior. I feel like I'm being nickeled and dimed to death each time I go shopping here. It's no longer an enjoyable experience to shop at Goodwill. It isn't worth the frustration to me anymore. The other thrift-sores/second hand places in town are far more friendly and fair with their prices. Goodwill doesn't live up to it's name anymore in my opinion. I'm done shopping here.

Super clean and well organized thrift store. The staff are pleasant and continually working to make your shopping experience good. They have tons of nice clothing for men, women, and children. The housewares section is not as complete but still adequate. The prices are higher than other thrift stores in Sandpoint, hence the 4 stars. I shop here regularly, though, do they can't be all that bad!

The thumbs up or down first. Do you want the good news first or the bad. I know the ones in back sorting the items, don't even get decent wage. Federal Minimum wage is $ 7.25 hour, although the clerk in front is paid over $10 and hour in the goodwill in Ponderay Idaho. So for how they treat employees I give a ONE. I know if there is question about one behavior they try to get people to sign a no trespassing agreement. Not sure if this is legal or not. This behavior I give it ONE. Up score a little now some of items I can cheaper at dollar store or some place else. But still can find some decent bargains. so for bargain I give a TWO, they should look at there price structure. Now what I like about good will and give it FIVE in these are the store have great selection, clean and organize. Goodwill is non profit and there CEO has salary of over 2 million a year. Goodwill takes in over 4 billion a year. And all from donations.

Goodwill seems to be getting better with lowering their prices, when you find something that's only a buck or two lower than new that's not ok. It's a roll of the dice, some things are a great deal, others aren't. Also as of Fri. May 29, 2020 they're not doing their sale color? But the employees are usually always really nice, they need to be paid more by cutting their CEOs salaries!

Sorry to have to review this store this low, since it was always clean and well stocked. At our Last visit I was denied entry do to Mask Wearing policy and adding that Medical Conditions are not accepted.Well was the last time for Me to come by, which includes the Drop offs. Since we clean out Houses on a normal Basis we always show up with full Truck at least or full Trailers.For anybody else reading this, Clothing can be dropped of at the FoodBank, they have a Collection Bin out Front. Other Items drop them off at the Dufort Mall.

HELLO, I was in your store yesterday and and I really think you need a widen the aisles of clothing it's a very hard to get through. Also The dresses need to be moved up a couple notches they're getting destroyed, And every time I would go down A clothing Isle An employee was trying to put things away right where I was standing so I kept moving. I felt like the customer wasn't important It makes me sad cause I really used to like to shop at the Ponderay goodwill

I actually really liked this location. Perhaps the best Goodwill I've ever been to. I give only 1 star b/c from what I understand Goodwill in general is known to give a number of services to employing people w/ disabilities. With that said, knowing that this location absolutely REFUSES to allow a customer in their store if they have disabilitie(s) that which inhibits them from wearing a mask is very disturbing. Until they change their policy, (which is actually discrimination), I as well as close family members will refuse to go back. *Just so you know, we've donated many hundreds of dollars of items to your store, in addition to having spent so many hundreds of $ IN your store for many, many years; I've lost count. What a shame...

I had to come and update my once highly regarded review of this Goodwill. They have significantly raised their prices. I just don't find good deals here anymore. Its almost like Goodwill has forgotten that they are a SECOND HAND store and not a department store. I can go to Ross and find better deals on NEW items. I went in yesterday to look for some sweatpants and couldn't believe the prices on used sweats. And I'm not talking gently used items, you can tell the items were obviously used. Sadly because Goodwill has become greedy with their DONATED items I will no longer be a loyal customer or donate my items to this location.. Its a shame!-----Original Post-----------I really enjoy going to this goodwill. The furniture deals I find there, are out of this world. I have furnished a good portion of my house with furniture (and other housewares) from this store, and my house guests can never believe it. I, of course, paint and refurbish everything I purchase, but still a heck of a deal. Some items like clothes, dishes, etc. are over priced...The staff is always friendly. I'm a weekly shopper and will be as long as the store is in Ponderay :)

We did some shopping over here and found some good deals with housewares. The place is kept clean and organized. The prices for the items we looked at were cheap and not overpriced. The employees that we ran into were kind and courteous as well.We will continue to go shopping here whenever we can.

I respect the work Good will does for the community and the get some really nice things but the makeup is getting out of control. 50% on most items is a little much.$80.00 Pair of shoes good shape, worn though. 39.99. That's not good for goodwill.

Great place to find hidden treasure clothes. Found a nice leather jacket for $ 9.99 and 2 warm snow anoraks for $12.99 and $7.99 one of them is a Landsend one and you know how expensive they are. Love the friendly helpfull staff there.

If I could give zero stars I would! I refuse to wear a mask, I went it and zipped my coat up OVER my mouth and nose. Which is probably even safer than a mask. Anyhow, the manager LITERALLY physically pushes me out the door. This is sad. And then proceeds to tell me she will call the cops. WEIRD because she is the one who laid hands on me!!! Hmmmm. What a sheep.

First off it's a goodwill so you can rarely if lucky find a gem for a cheap price so I gave it two stars. Other than the rare gem everything else is way overpriced. Often times stuff is only a few dollars under brand new unused merchandise. the men's clothing is very unorganized. The electronics is just thrown on a section of the back wall and it mixes into tools and lamps and housewares it a huge mess.

My husband and I were highly disappointed.We were met at the door by 2 mask wearing "Karen's" who informed us that the store is an independent operation and did not care that we had medical conditions, which exemted us from any requirement to wear masks. "KAREN" also stated that in addition to the requirement to wear masks to enter the store, they would not provide any masks for customers to wear - in order to comply with their draconian rules. The "Karen's" went on to say that it did not matter if we had official medical exemptions or not, accepted by panhandle health district, because they were not interested in what the state required, they instead set their own rules. Politely informed "KARENs" that we would then seek other businesses, more accommodating, that would provide masks and allow us to spend our Christmas money in their stores.It's a shame these "KARENs" behaved in such a way as to drive away customers when their are so many other "mom and pop" stores much more deserving of the locals business.

As far as thrift stores go, this really isn't too bad. It seemed clean (as clean as a thrift store can be) and the facility was nice. Prices were a bit higher than I'm used to, but that's to be expected at Goodwill v. local thrift stores.

They have lots of stuff, every week they have a color tag 50% off. They have holiday cloths. Every 3rd Sunday of the mounth only the Ponderay GoodWill only has 50% off paper back and hard back books. No kids books please.

I purchased a $25 item. Apparently you cannot purchase something from a goodwill and return it at a different one. I donate ALOT but moving forward I will donate and shop at the local Thrift store instead.

I give them 2 stars primarily for their recent decision to post bathroom placards stating that their bathrooms are for “every gender”. Shame on Goodwill for promoting perversion and evil in their stores by this decision.

We were kicked out, we won't be going back. If a business insists on customers wearing masks, they don't need our business. Masks are bad for society. You have lost a family of customers.
