I got the two sweetest cats ever from here for twenty dollars we got two fixed cats who are well behaved and social, the thrift store next to it has never failed me and I go at least 1 a week. Plus the dog park and the fact I see employees walking the dogs outside, there is nothing you would want to change.Perfect store God bless you.

I had to give my cat up for adoption. This group could not have been kinder to my kitty. Moreover, the were very sensitive to the my pain of giving my cat to adoption. They found a family for my cat within a week. I was impressed at how large and clean the facility was. All the animals get daily loving care. Adjacent to the animal center is the thrift store item donation center. I bought two pair of basketball shoes, new denim jeans and a wool shirt for less than $15. Today I saw a 10-speed bike in ready to ride for seven dollars. They are dedicated to all things involved with pets and owners and the mutual blessings that occur between pets and people.

I am the supervisor of an assisted living home and we got this handsome boy to be an addition to our very large family. He is settling in well and the shelter was very helpful and the people were amazing. We can not thank them enough! We love Franz so much already! How could you not love that face!

The level of compassion and love given by the staff to both the dog and the young man surrendering the dog due to his leaving town was remarkable and inspiring. He had adopted the dog from Better Together a few months earlier at a no cost adoption event and then he lost his job and had to move back with his parents. The staff was attentive to his needs and positive in their interactions with the dog, the young man, and myself who was helping him out. I paid the $50 rehoming fee gladly for him once I witnessed the kindness the staff displayed. I know that the dog will be well cared for at Better Together and was impressed with the caring attitude of the staff, which was exceptional, especially when compared to other animal shelters I have dealt with in the past.

This is our second dog from the shelter. The first dog after a year of trying to train, we took back because he started to growl and wasn't listening. We decided to try again a few months later. This dog they said was four years old. He was very friendly and for the first two weeks very well behaved. He now isn't listening or coming when called. Starting to get destructive in the house. We are taking him back and I'm not paying $50 for a return fee, when the adoption fees were waived for July because they had too many dogs. We are now looking for a breeder or a reliable rescue organization that will give your the full history on the dog. Also I feel the dogs here are not walked, brushed, or given time to have run time outside. And yes, all they have are large dogs,. We waited over a half hour just for them to bring the dog out to us to see. We weren't given the choice to see the dog outside in the fenced area. We won't be coming back again. I'm bringing him back on August 9th,2023. If you were open Mondays it would be then. Don't adopt from here, unless you can deal with dogs that don't listen or get destructive.

What an amazing shelter! They take excellent care of the animals, and the babies are spayed/neutered BEFORE adoption. So very important based on what I've seen in other states. You can't depend on people to take their new animal and redeem a spay/neuter certificate. Cleanest, nicest, most well maintained shelter I've seen. The staff and volunteers are the best, and the thrift shop is my favorite. I brought home the tortie in the picture.

I have always enjoyed this thrift store. It is clean, and they just remodeled however their prices have been constantly going up since the new Director took over. The 'deals' are becoming harder and harder to find.

Such a caring and compassionate staff. Kendra Dodge is the best. It was hard to say goodbye to my girls. Had them for over 15 years. The staff made sure they were loved and cared for. I am so grateful for their kindess

Thank you for saving so many animals lives. The new changes to this shelter was for the better. The events you have are so so helpful. I enjoy them, and my animals got their microchips and vaccines. Thank you for taking the time to do these events. I would love to see a spay and neuter event or something similar. I know it would be tough to do.

Awesome facility. Never seen so many calm and relaxed cats at one shelter. I love that they are kept grouped in visiting rooms instead of cages, so they are free to roam around and you can see how they behave in a home-like environment. Everyone we met was super nice and professional too.

Includes thrift shop, park, and shelter.Only dogs and cats (unless fostered, I believe)No-killAlthough the management is a bit rubbish (I believe they may have fixed that), they hire the sweetest employees. They truly give their animals the best treatment they can. The dog park and animal shelter is lovely, and I'm glad they're getting a bigger budget so that others see how special this place is. The animals have plenty of room as well! They have a fenced yard and decently sized "stalls" for their dogs. Employees will do everything they can to help. Around 4 years ago, after visiting every day for about a month, they knew us by name and picked out a dog special for us. We are now looking into another, given our great experience with them.

I found my 3rd soulmate here through the Home to Home program. My fur baby never had to be admitted to the Shelter itself. This is a no kill facility and is supported by the community at large, and a Thrift Store connected adjacently.

The staff and volunteers here were very helpful and the animals were all clearly being well taken care of. We adopted our newest family member, a kitten we've named Li'l Bird (originally Osprey, which we thought was a little too fierce for such a sweetie!)We were very impressed at their modern setup and how quickly we were able to get the paperwork handled (all digital) and some additional tests done.

Last weekend, you come to our small town in Post Fall's Idaho to give out free vaccines and micro chip's. I waited in line for over an hour to get two of my dog's up to date on their shot's. I was one of the first people in line. Please DONT not come here again. I wonder if the people that donate to your organization know how people are treated at your event's? SLOW down and be more compassionate. I was treated very rudely and shuffled/pushed a long like I was cattle. I had my dog's medical records fortby a tall blond short haired lady that they were already looked out. My two dog's were quickly stuck with needle's without saying anything. I will right more in my day off.....Its too difficult doing this on my phone. ha ha

Great thrift store and animals. Some of the leaders in the animal shelter section could use training in dealing with employees. I've seen/heard the way they unacceptably spoke with employees about difficult situations rather harshly and they could have handled better in my opinion.

Thank God for the animal Alliance they have helped me and my animals over the years and giving me and my dogs more emotional and health support in this last 9 months then would be possible to explain. I hope to repay them with volunteer work and playing with the dogs and walking them to cleaning their pens and anything else I can do. I also support them by buying things at their thrift store for myself and my dogs and always donating extra money when I am able

This is NOT a "no kill shelter"! About 3 weeks ago my family had to make a difficult decision to surrender our one year old mastiff Dozer. We have 3 other dogs and he got into a fight with one of them. We decided since he was bigger and harder to control we would surrender him to this no kill shelter, as they being professionals would be able to properly handle him given his size, vet people and find a proper home for him. When my wife dropped him off we told them if they came to the conclusion he was not adoptable to let us know and would come get him! This was particularly hard on me as he was mine. My wife and I called multiple times a week to check on him to see how he was doing and we were assured he was doing great and that "he was warming up to the staff and loved his outside time "and that "he would be going up for adoption next week." This was all a LIE and they lied to us every time we called! I checked the website just about every day and he was never listed as a pet for adoption. My wife and I decided that we were going to go pick him up and bring him home! We called to get a last update and schedule a time to pick him up and we were given no information other then that we had to talk to the Director of Operations and to leave a voice-mail for her. When she called us back two days later we were told that they had euthanized him a week prior without informing us. It turns out he was doing bad the whole time, he had stopped eating and was malnourished to the point of puking and pooping blood! I have no idea why they lied to me every time we called when we told them on multiple occasions that we didn't want him to be killed and that we would come get him if he was not adoptable! They chose to let him suffer and then killed him. In my opinion these are terrible people! Don't ever surrender a dog here that you care about!
